:scratchin Hmmm, starting to think you might be humoring me...

But, I would have preferred some rum.

I have scotch in my collection....no rum. GP needs to share some rum.

BTW - I need to take a picture of a pirate flag. :scratchin I've been stalking a certain ship in Melbourne for a couple of months yet and they have yet to bring Roger out of the Jolly. :(

My only thought was a children's book. There's also one hanging in my children's play room, but I wouldn't go in there if I were you. :scared1:

Everyone has ignored that I've been MIA. ;) Either bad lettuce/spinach in a salad or a nasty bug. I'm still a little queasy.

Wick, it's at least an hour ride to the beach or longer depending which beach I go to. But it's Jersey, and that's what we do! Us Bennys head down the shore in the summer. (For reference: Benny stands for Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark and New York -- it's what the shore people call those of us from these areas that invade their towns every summer. And we go "down the shore" in NJ, not "to the shore").

If we were an hour away, I think we'd go. But as it is, we'd have to drive through Houston to get there. Not pretty.

I have the craziest family :confused3

My nephew, his wife and 4 kids are coming down on Friday. BUT, his wife doesn't think he wants to go to the beach that day. sorry, but if the sun is out we will be at the beach. they probably won't get to me before 2-3PM, not sitting home waiting and wasting a day.

My sister and other nephew are supposed to come on Saturday, with their two dogs. Now my nephew has something to do so they won't get down til Saturday night. They do not plan on going to the beach with us. Why drive all the way down (it's at least 3-4 hours) to spend the night, not go to the beach with us on Sunday, then go back home?????

:confused3 How am I supposed to plan?

I know you're gone for the weekend plus, but I hope you find a way to have a good time anyway.

Hi all. I've been ignoring you for 5 days; did any of you notice?

I made it home from Las Vegas. Wow, I usually fly American or the OneWorld alliance airlines but to Las Vegas I took United. We had mechanical problems on the way and left 2 hours late and there were mechanical problems coming home and my flight was delayed 6 hours.

I could have almost visited PiO in that amount of time.

I dislike United. That is very typical of what I've heard and experienced of them. So sad Continental is being corrupted . . . er merged . . . with them.

PiO I'm so sorry! It was your pics I was saying were great. Don't know why I typed Wickey though. :flower3:

And yes, we are on another social website, so maybe that's why I got confused. :rotfl: Not easy switching back and forth and keeping it straight. As it is I'm very cautious about trying not to use any identifyingn personal names/information/etc. here that could let someone know who they are in real life.

Because you like me, you really like me.

So I am I not a wee lassie fae Scotland ??

Cool....can we pick ?

Ok,I want to be a very skinny ,very rich but no the most talented former member of a Girl band who just gave birth......Well , Hello David !! ;)

LOL!!!

I'm doing fine. Andy is not. He's physically going to be okay; his wounds are scabbed now and itchy but otherwise okay.

Mentally, the dog is freaked out. He was a scared dog before this and I'm hoping he will eventually recover. For now, he won't sit on my lap. He hides and shakes. My husband and I were up at 4 am with flashlights this morning trying to find him because he wasn't in bed. He was cowered under a chair and wouldn't come out, not even for a treat. He's not eating much. I feel like I need to get him back outside and walking to help him recover but he has those large scabs now that I think would rub with either a collar or a harness.

Poor Andy. I hope he gets better soon.

Please ignore my next few posts, simply trying to get to 5,500. :rolleyes1

Whoo-Hooo!!! You made it!

And, in case I haven't mentioned, it's so hot here the heat smacks you in the chest when you open the door. It's just ridiculous here. 1:37 and already 104 at my house. It's just going to get hotter.

OMG you are so right. It's like a furnace outside. I do NOT want to see our next electricity bill. Even though we've been trying to use as little as possible, the a/c has to work overtime to cool the house in this heat. We've even shut off two rooms of our house.

5500?

Thats a lot.:lmao:

Show off. :)

:(

I like scotch too! But, I really like Australian wines. I'm no expert, but they are some of the yummiest ones!

Since we are talking alcohol, I did have some in Las Vegas. I did need those 3 margaritas to wash down that guacamole. And I did need that pineapple vodka lemonade thingie that I had in the cabana.

Absolutely! You'd choke on guacamole with anything else.

And, omg the pineapple vodka lemonade thingie sounds really good!

But did you bring us any? Or maybe Andy? Maybe Andy needs a vodka lemonade thingie to help calm his nerves. ;) Hope you're both well and you enjoyed your trip. Next up, Disney!

No drinks.

Homemade, of course. Recipe on application.

PiO, do you happen to have any pictures of lobster? Pakey would love to see one. :rolleyes1

Lucky for Pakey, they are just off-season here and super expensive. I made the seafood chowder because I needed a picture of Clambake for the photo scavenger hunt. I couldn't bring myself to pay the exhorbitant prices at the market for the lobster..... so I ended up with frozen crab out of the supermarket instead.

Here's my Clambake pictures...

Pakey - rest assured...now that I know you have a burning desire to see Lobster (or more the case....Alpha wants you to see Lobster), when they are back in season I'll make sure I grab a shot for you. :rolleyes1
