I've been around, just not posting much. Fighting with Beaches about a $656.00 credit they owe us for a cruise we booked and they cancelled at the last minute. Not happy. Was told we'd have the credit within 3-4 business days. Yeah, right. That was on July 13. Still waiting. I've made multiple phone calls, sent an email and still being given the run around. Time to pull out the terror turkey!

That's a lot of money! I'd be upset too, can you call the credit card company and hold the payment (probably too late, right?)

Glad you got your money back, but I'm sorry you had to work so hard at it.

I'd love a beach day . . . but, it's supposed to be 108 here today. I'm hunkering down and staying inside! Besides, the beach is almost 2 hours away.

Seaside?

PrincessK and her friend have never been there and since they're very familiar with Jersey Shore, they'd like to see it for themselves. I loved that place in my late teens/early 20s. Wondering if I'll have the same affection for it in my mid-40's.

Wick, it's at least an hour ride to the beach or longer depending which beach I go to. But it's Jersey, and that's what we do! Us Bennys head down the shore in the summer. (For reference: Benny stands for Bayonne, Elizabeth, Newark and New York -- it's what the shore people call those of us from these areas that invade their towns every summer. And we go "down the shore" in NJ, not "to the shore").

I have the craziest family

My nephew, his wife and 4 kids are coming down on Friday. BUT, his wife doesn't think he wants to go to the beach that day. sorry, but if the sun is out we will be at the beach. they probably won't get to me before 2-3PM, not sitting home waiting and wasting a day.

My sister and other nephew are supposed to come on Saturday, with their two dogs. Now my nephew has something to do so they won't get down til Saturday night. They do not plan on going to the beach with us. Why drive all the way down (it's at least 3-4 hours) to spend the night, not go to the beach with us on Sunday, then go back home?????

How am I supposed to plan?

Tell them: this is my schedule and this is where I'll be if you'd like to join me. Then let everyone else rearrange their schedules to accomodate you. No sense in you spending the entire weekend in the house waiting for people to show up.

Hi all. I've been ignoring you for 5 days; did any of you notice?

I made it home from Las Vegas. Wow, I usually fly American or the OneWorld alliance airlines but to Las Vegas I took United. We had mechanical problems on the way and left 2 hours late and there were mechanical problems coming home and my flight was delayed 6 hours.

I could have almost visited PiO in that amount of time.
