So after having a certain problem for over a year I broke down and made an appt. with a gastro doctor. I called today and they said he had an opening tomorrow at 5 :scared1: Please tell me not to cancel again, like last year. Now I've been getting a pain on my lower left side the last couple of days.

Don't you dare cancel that appointment Snap. Ignoring it will not make it go away. Please, please, please have it checked out. Like my mom, you will kick yourself in the butt after you go and they tell you it's nothing horrible. She spends months, sometimes years ignoring things and then is so relieved. Mom is a cancer survivor and I have to fight, tooth and nail to get her to go for her gyn appointments and mammography. I go faithfully. Just went for my upper endoscopy two weeks ago. GET IT DONE. Don't make me come over there and kick your butt.

DO NOT CANCEL!!!!

R goes to the gastro doc July 7.

They just called back and changed it to 1PM on Wednesday. :sad2:

Hope R is okay. How C doing? Better since the diet change I hope.

Keep that appointment. No excuses.

R has the same stomach problems as CJ, but her blood work didn't indicate the celiac's. She has also added khaki colored stool. That's not supposed to be almost white. So, we will see what the gastro doc has to say about her.

CJ is doing well. We're still adjusting. I have to read EVERY label because wheat is in more than you realize. And, we have to worry about cross contamination. Hopefully, we'll get it down soon.

Wow, you certainly have your hands full, I don't know how you do it.

I'm glad CJ is feeling better and hope R starts to feel better soon.

Morning all. I had an interesting weekend so I'm almost glad to be back at work.

Snap, you make sure you go to that appointment. I'm the poster child of what happens when you skip going to the doctor. I don't want bad things happening to people I care about so you put on those pearls and pumps and get yourself there.

Alpha, glad CJ is doing better. My niece is also newly dealing with this disease. Her problem is that she travels 75% of the time with her job and it's very difficult to get food. She now packs food in her luggage.

Wick, I sent you a pm.

Way to leave us hanging Pakey, tell us about your weekend.:confused3

Let's all ignore the fact that I had a dream about zombies last night. Yes, zombies.

Yikes! :scared1:

Get thee to that doctor!

Hi, Pakey! I sent you a pm back. :)

And yes, do tell about your weekend!

I can't believe I've been sucked into watching the Casey Anthony trial live on my computer :sad2: Once you start watching you can't look away.

I didn't sleep well last night, I hate this appt. tomorrow :guilty: I was reading from 1:30 - 4:30, now I'm so tired and achey.

Big whoop, I just did the laundry. Amazing how boring life can be sometimes.

Stinks Snap. At least you've found something to occupy your time while you're unable to sleep. Sending prayers and pixie dust for peace of mind and a good report from the doctor tomorrow.

Thank you! :)

Wow, haven't we all been doing a good job of ignoring each other :lmao:

I'm ignoring that we have 3 months to get this thread to 250 and start out third Ignorami thread. Just sayin'. ;)

So after all my worrying, the doctor turned out to be very nice! I was only there for about 1/2 hour tops!! A have a colonoscopy scheduled for next month (you are supposed to get one at 50 and I'm 54). Got my prescription and raced home to watch the trial.

I had the trial on all morning, ran down to throw the laundry in and came upstairs to a 2 hour recess :sad2:

I'm dying to know if Casey is going to take the stand :confused3

Hi all.

Snap, glad you survived the appointment. I hope the colonoscopy is also a breeze for you. I have to get one every other year due to cancer. Out of all of the tests/treatments I endure, I hate this one the most. The procedure is fine but the prep is terrible. I hope you have a laptop so you can stream Casey from the bathroom. :rotfl:

PK, how excited are you getting? I'm literally green with envy. I would so love to do a short vacation between now and October when we go to WDW but it's such a hassle dealing with the dogs. After a few weeks of 100+ temps though, I'm always looking for an escape.

What happened to Kimmar?

Snap, glad you kept the appointment and are now feeling better about it. :thumbsup2

Pakey, I'm getting very, very excited. However, I don't suggest you join me in Turks if you're unhappy with 100+ degree temps. Apparently it's about 90 each day with a "real feel" of around 100. Good thing sipping umbrella drinks won't cause me too much discomfort and sweating. ;)

Haven't seen Kimmar in a while. I'm assuming she had the end of the year crazies with school, and protesting our Governor's latest agenda, and finally enjoying her summer as much as possible. Again, it's all guesswork on my part.

Got PK's final report card yesterday. She did well for her first year. Not what I was hoping for, but okay nonetheless. She did manage to get first honors (finally) this marking period. Very happy about that. My frustration stems from her horrible exam grades. She does well in class, then tanks on her exams every marking period. :headache: Her final GPA (thanks to gym, Intro to Tech and honors weighting) was a 93.87. Hoping for better next year. Unfortunately, PK is a lazy student. She'll tell you herself. She thinks she's doing great getting 83-86s in all her main classes (English, History, Math and Science). I'm really hoping for better next year. I wish she would take it seriously instead of coasting. Just a little extra effort would go a long way. You know when it will all sink in that she should have put forth more effort? When it's time to sign on the dotted line for college loans. She's plowing through summer homework as we speak. In a way I'm glad they get as much as they do. Never really gives her the opportunity to fall out of that pattern. (She'd kill me if she heard me say that :rotfl:).

Why yes, yes we have!

Well, I AM a professional Ignorami. :snooty:

You ARE very good at it. :worship:

Glad you had a positive outcome from the doc's appointment. I have been reading the CA thread, but it's very hard to keep up.

I would make the sacrifice and go to the Turks with you. It's been hovering around 100 here every day, with heat index of 105+. I think they ought to let us have some of those umbrella drinks here at work to keep us cool. Think they'll buy that?
