Hi all.

Snap, glad you survived the appointment. I hope the colonoscopy is also a breeze for you. I have to get one every other year due to cancer. Out of all of the tests/treatments I endure, I hate this one the most. The procedure is fine but the prep is terrible. I hope you have a laptop so you can stream Casey from the bathroom. :rotfl:

PK, how excited are you getting? I'm literally green with envy. I would so love to do a short vacation between now and October when we go to WDW but it's such a hassle dealing with the dogs. After a few weeks of 100+ temps though, I'm always looking for an escape.

What happened to Kimmar?

He gave me a choice of drinking the liquid or taking the 32 pills; I asked for the pills, hope I made the right decision :confused3

Snap, glad you kept the appointment and are now feeling better about it. :thumbsup2

Pakey, I'm getting very, very excited. However, I don't suggest you join me in Turks if you're unhappy with 100+ degree temps. Apparently it's about 90 each day with a "real feel" of around 100. Good thing sipping umbrella drinks won't cause me too much discomfort and sweating. ;)

Haven't seen Kimmar in a while. I'm assuming she had the end of the year crazies with school, and protesting our Governor's latest agenda, and finally enjoying her summer as much as possible. Again, it's all guesswork on my part.

Got PK's final report card yesterday. She did well for her first year. Not what I was hoping for, but okay nonetheless. She did manage to get first honors (finally) this marking period. Very happy about that. My frustration stems from her horrible exam grades. She does well in class, then tanks on her exams every marking period. :headache: Her final GPA (thanks to gym, Intro to Tech and honors weighting) was a 93.87. Hoping for better next year. Unfortunately, PK is a lazy student. She'll tell you herself. She thinks she's doing great getting 83-86s in all her main classes (English, History, Math and Science). I'm really hoping for better next year. I wish she would take it seriously instead of coasting. Just a little extra effort would go a long way. You know when it will all sink in that she should have put forth more effort? When it's time to sign on the dotted line for college loans. She's plowing through summer homework as we speak. In a way I'm glad they get as much as they do. Never really gives her the opportunity to fall out of that pattern. (She'd kill me if she heard me say that :rotfl:).

PK, don't tell her, but I think she is doing great 93.87!!! So happy your trip is coming up soon, but I don't think I could take that kind of heat!

Hi Wick!!!!!!! Loved the centerpiece!

I'm bummed that the trial is concluding this weekend and I won't have a computer, or probably be near a TV til late at night. Oh well, I'll have to suffer at the beach!

You can't ignore that S is on the front page of the local newspaper!!!!! The article is about the new 4-H archery program in the area. She's in one of the pictures and is all over the article. The day the reporter came was the day she made a Robin Hood shot. So exciting!

Wow, can't ignore that! Congrats S!!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!!!!!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :dance3:

Something tells me you won't miss it. :) Have a great weekend! I'd rather be at the beach myself.

Whoo-Hoo!!! Go, S!!!!

We have quite a few posters from this thread MIA> hope all is well with them

Happy Friday all. Today is my Boniva day so I don't feel well. At least it's only the first 2 days now instead of an entire week. But it still sucks when the 1st falls on either a Friday or a Saturday, just in time to put a damper on the weekend.

Snap, you definitely made the right decision on the pills. I would take a thousand pills before doing one glass of the liquid. That stuff is so bad.

Alpha, how exciting for S. Archery is something I've always found fascinating; what a great sport to do.

Wick, I'm with you. I can't easily take 100 degrees if I'm sitting by a pool, in a lounge chair, with an umbrella drink in hand.

BTW, PK, how is Eduardo treating you?

Eduardo's name is Javier. :lmao: And he's in Mexico at the moment. Won't see him again until Wednesday, and then I'm off to Turks! :woohoo::woohoo:

Sorry to hear you have a bad reaction with Boniva. Not quite at that stage yet, but it gives me something to look forward too. And to make matters worse, when I read your post I thought it said something about putting a diaper on for the weekend. :rotfl2:

Snap, I know what you mean about PK's grade. Honestly I do. And you're right, they're good grades. I just wish she would apply herself just a little more. Another 5-10% would make a HUGE difference. Good thing she's not an actress, 'cause you know I'd be the worst stage mom ever! :lmao:

I know . . . where are you guys? :confused3

Sorry about the Boniva ickiness. Can you wash it down with an umbrella drink? :wizard: (notice I did NOT say anything about weekend diapers)

What's Javier (aka Eduardo) going to do while you're gone?

Wow, can't ignore you guys for long, you put me into diapers.

Wick, alcohol is a big no-no while on Boniva. I will be on it for at least 2 years but I guess it will be longer. I joke about drinking but I only do it on vacation because it's so bad with this medication. The worst is that I can't take any kind of pain relievers (Advil, Alleve) etc. I have terrible sinus pain and now have to endure it because the Boniva is more important.

After re-reading that, I might as well be in diapers.

Aww, Pakey. I'm sorry you have to put up with all that stuff. But, I have a feeling you're not quite ready for those diapers! You've got too much going on for that! :woohoo:

She only wears diapers when she's drinking around the world at Epcot. :thumbsup2 And when she visits China 'cause she hasn't quite figured out the "squat over a hole" thing yet.

Happy Tuesday (I almost said Monday). Too much work and not enough fun this weekend. The weather did not cooperate as much as we would have liked. Ended up doing a lot of shopping, installed a new mailbox, which was much harder than it sounds. Then I got into cleaning because I might be having company soon. I vacuumed all the air conditioner filters upstairs, etc.

We did have a couple (read two) of nice hours at the beach on Saturday. Of course it's back to work day today and it's beautiful outside :sad2:

I was able to keep up with the trial this weekend, it was turned over to the jury yesterday so the wait for the outcome is in sight.

Pakey, I took Boniva once and never took it again.

PK, you must be beside yourself with excitement!

I guess AlphaBit must be very busy with all the summer fun!

Hi Wick!!!

Scotlass, GP, Kimmar: come out, come out wherever you are!!!:confused3

Please ignore my ignoring of this thread. :) I've been . . . busy. Yeah, that's my story. :wave2:

I'll be ignoring you all alot, real soon! (see signature for explanation) ;)

I'm extremely jealous that y'all have so much of a life that you don't have time to post here.

Sadly, I do not have that probelm. :sad1:
