The zombies are another thread. Honestly, it's going to be a terribly busy weekend. We have an air show, bouncy houses, the Rapture, and preparing for the zombie apocalypse. I don't know how we're going to fit it all in.

And, Snap, I'm sure you're usual heels and pearls will be just fine. Of course, one of special hats might make a nice addition.

Well I'm back! Tonight was really getting to know what kind of shape I'm in. We did weight, pulse, blood pressure, measurements , and some testing. Pushups (girly style -- 11), sit ups (I was talking trash about how easy they are -- 12 in 1 minute ), grip (35%), flexibility (11-1/2), resting heart rate, then I had to step up and down on a 12 inch step for 3 minutes and take my working heart rate. I think it was 155 . Oh and did I mention that when I went for the 12th pushup I face planted into the mat? And then I almost face planted again trying to use my left arm to help me off the floor. I know you're not all interested in the numbers, but I figured if I put it here I can always check back and see if I'm making progress and it will keep me honest. Weight 236 lbs. . So there's all my dirty laundry. I'm in worse shape than I thought, so it was a good reality check. My next meeting with Javier is Monday and Wednesday next week. Honestly, I'm afraid but I'm going ahead anyway. Hell, they've got my money! Oh, and he told me no more junk food. If I could only figure out a way to make my computer reliant on expended energy I'd lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks.

Good to see you Scotlass. I don't drink much anymore but when I do, I'm a beer girl. And not the girly beers -- Bud Light for me. Maybe Corona.

And no cursing at Javier. Didn't want to scare him off already.

You can do more push-ups that I can! You are very brave to post your numbers! Since they have your money, that should be a great motivator. And, I hate the "no junk food" statement. I got that too from my personal-trainer son. Beer is good.

Oh come on! WHY do DH's cousins have to have all these fancy parties I usually just decline, but we were feeling bad so we accepted the invitation to a christening. I figured go to the church, out to dinner, no big deal.

I just looked up the "restaurant". It's a country club - fancy!

I have absolutely nothing to wear! Now I have to try to find an outfit, shoes, etc. on top of the cost of the gift.

What ever happened to having a cake at the house?????

I agree with Alpha Mom who said your pearls, heels and a hat.

We do cake at the house. We also bring in food for everyone. Nothing fancy here, or I'd never get DH to go. I'm sure you'll find something fabulous! You're gorgeous, I'm sure you look great in everything.

Don't sweat it Snap. The Rapture is happening this weekend so you won't have to find an outfit.

Nah, sorry Javier is not hot. He's okay, but no one I would really take a second look at. Maybe if he was hot I'd work a little harder. Then again I'd probably be too embarassed to be sweating and working out in front of a hot guy. And honestly, I'm not interested at all. I've got enough drama in my life.

Aw Scotlass, I'm so sorry. Sorry for the loss of your aunt, for the stress and bad feelings between the families, sorry they weren't there for you when you needed them. I've learned in the past few years to do what's best for you and the hell with everyone else. I'm not a forgive and forget kind of person. Never was, never will be. I'll take so much bull, years and years worth, but once I've had enough, you're dead to me. Honestly, if you don't give a crap about these people, what do you care what they think of you? You have to live with yourself and if you can't respect yourself, no one else will. Believe me, I've been coming to terms with that recently. If you behave like a doormat, you will be treated like a doormat.

As for Javier, I'll have to see if I can get a picture of him and post it. And Pakey's cabana boys weren't hot either. I'm disappointed in what the Latin culture has been turning out lately. Just kidding!
