The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

Does anyone know if they sell bottles of vodka at Screen Door General Store? I've bought bottles of wine there in the past, but I never looked for harder liquor.

We will be there in a couple weeks and will only be bringing carry-ons so I was wondering if there are other options for full sized bottles besides wine.

Thanks :drinking::drinking1

They definitely have hard liquor, just don’t recall vodka. When you walk in the front door, there’s a little section against the wall on the right. I looked really quick in a video to get a picture. Look in the green cabinet you see on the left here. If no one can answer you here, just look up some more walkthrough videos. Someone had to have recorded it or took a pic.

Thanks! That gives me some hope lol.

Screen door does sell most common liquors, including Vodka. As of last September when I was there, I believe they sold the smaller 'pint' size bottles as opposed to full fifths, and of course the prices are much higher. I remember Smirnoff, Grey Goose, Ketel One, and in other liquors - Captain Morgan, Crown Royal, Jim Beam, Jack Daniels, Seagram's, Bacardi, Jose Cuervo. There may have been a few more mixed in, and some may not be guaranteed to be in stock - just to give you an idea.

Great information! Thank you 👍

I'll just add that I think most of those bottles are a "half a fifth" i.e. 375 mL, so not quite a full pint.

Disappointed, tried all last week for a 2 bedroom or 2 studios. My home resort is Boardwalk I was 11 months each day I tried and could not get anything! Just wondering if this is the norm? I saw other resorts available, but I don’t own at the other resorts. 😡

I did get a 1 bedroom, but need a room for more people. On waitlist for additional studio. If I could go elsewhere I would have it with less stress. LOL

This is the first time that I have seen even the G/P view rooms book up completely at 11 months. Even early December typically had G/P rooms available in the past.

The lack of dedicated 2BR at BWV is a big negative for us. We ended up booking a GV because getting a 2BR was almost impossible.

At 11 months, I've never had an issue getting a Garden/Boardwalk room of any type. That's pretty rare. Resort view / aka Standard is another thing altogether - occasionally you can get lucky, but during popular times like near Christmas, I have NEVER been able to get one the morning the booking window opens at 11 months. I tried a few weeks ago to nab one for my upcoming Dec 2 - 7 trip, right at 6am - nothing. Walkers completely dominate the limited number of Resort views that are available. I switched over to Pool/Garden and no problem booking the trip in a 1-bedroom - Pool / Garden view 2 beds and studios were still available at around 11am on 1/2/26 - Boardwalk view and Resort view were gone.

It seems that booking at 11 months is getting harder for everyone, not just BW owners. I have seen so many complaints across social media boards the last 30 days about not getting anything at 11 months. I saw someone this weekend who couldn't even get a 1 bed at BW at 11 months. Something is changing not sure what. I would encourage sending DVC an email to complain if you have time and if it is effecting your ownership.
