The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

Has anyone been recently that knows the status of the the Photobooth?

I read an article that said it had been removed, but that supposedly, a new one was coming to replace it.
I was told in April from someone at Joe’s that it wasn’t coming back but then later an article came out stating it was being replaced which is probably the same article you are referring too.

I haven’t heard anything else since reading that article.

When I was on the Boardwalk earlier this month, I didn't notice a Photobooth, but I wasn't looking for it so I wasn't paying close attention.

So, I just saw a walk-through of the arcade, and it does look like there is a photobooth in the arcade. Not the same charm as the old school one, but at least it's something.

Not sure what the photo strips are like. Looks like it might be just 3 photos and not 4.

Since it opened, I don't think I ever saw an actual purchase of a piece of art there. Not that I lingered for hours watching - but I'm there frequently enough that every time I pass by or pop in, there's either no one there, or others just glancing around like me.

Now, if they could just put some kind of quick serve / diner food option in there!

I said the same thing. That would be great, so convenient too. Just strange all these current tenants are leaving. What are the up to? 🤔

The article states that it will be “moving” to someplace very close by and guesses that it might be The Grand Floridian Tea Room….

It also discusses that the closure of Big River Grill, Jelly Rolls, and now this could indicate something big on the Boardwalk….

We shall see….

Art Gallery to Close….. so no one else could afford the art there either….
That place had sooo many things I wanted. 😛 Between nothing having prices, what I imagine would be a very high shipping cost and nowhere to put it, I didn't inquire. There was an artwork of Cruella on the phone with her curlers that I still think about when I look at my walls....

Maybe the new resort with the higher point chart. 😛

I think I forgot to ask this. If I did ask, I forgot the answer. 😀 When I had the boardwalk view, I kept hearing honking, like a car honking their horn. I never figured out what it was. What was it?

The boats between epcot and dhs have horns. Some of the drivers (captains?) like to press the button to sound the horn, and some don't bother.

The boat horns?

That must be it. The first couple times I heard it, I thought it was a car. At some point, I was hearing it kind of consistently, like every 20 minutes or so.

Is there some that don’t?? I figured it was Disney law, or at least a Disney rule.
Earlier this month, I took the boats between Epcot and DHS several times. Only one of the drivers pressed the button to make the horn sound, and he did it a lot.

Personally, I find the horn annoying when I'm on the boat, and annoying when I'm staying in a hotel room which is near the boats.

Next time, I will try to remember to ask the drivers what the deal is. Are they supposed to do it? If it's not mandatory, do they have any idea how annoying it is if you have a hotel room which is near the boats?

It's different for everyone. I'll be honest and say I love the sound of the boat horns. If they were running in the middle of the night I might get annoyed, but they run mostly day and evening when I'm awake and I find it very atmospheric and soothing..

I have owned at BWV for 25 years. For 5 of them I was unable to travel because I was caring for my husband. One of the things I most missed was the sound of those Friendship Boat horns. And when I was finally able to return to BWV, the sound of those horns brought tears of joy to my eyes. That being said, now that you know that the horns are annoying to you, isn't it grand that DVC has so many other options!
