The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

I have a one bedroom P/G view for 9 nights in October.
Do the one bedrooms overlook "Village Green" area?

Thank you.
Yes, there is one on each of four floors. We had one once - it's larger than the usual 1BR and the balcony was enormous! They are difficult to get, but not impossible, especially if you make "view of Village Green" your only request. Good luck!

See this diagram - the 1BR are in yellow:

I'm booking a 2 bedroom and a studio once my 11 months opens up in October. I've already prepared myself that we'll be using more points for the B/P view as standard studios go so fast and there are no dedicated 2 bedrooms.

That being said - what's the best request to put in if you don't want a boardwalk view (concerned about noise - small kids) but want to be closest to the Epcot side?
Edited to add - Also we would like to be somewhat close to an elevator; we'll have an ECV and a stroller.

Out of curiosity, are there any 2 bedrooms that face Village Green? We have a P/G view 2 bedroom in April and was just wondering.

Are those 4 one bedrooms for sure pool/garden view now? They used to be BW view.
Yes, those are with the studios that used to be BW view but are now P/G view because guests complained too much about the “partial” BW view! Those 1BR are at the corner but face Village Green, not the BW itself.

Thanks for the info. We had one of these rooms when it was BW view. I have read random posts about the reclassification but wasn’t sure.

Yes, we too had one when it was BW view, and we complained about it. They offered to move us on the second night of our 7-night stay, but we declined because we were settled by then. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy the huge balcony because they were painting the exterior that week, and the balcony was blocked off!

That's kind of a quandary. The P/G view villas that are closest to the single bank of elevators, as well as closest to the Epcot side, are the ones with a view of Luna Park, the feature pool. We had a 2BR there once, and the afternoon activities at the pool made it pretty much impossible for us to take an afternoon nap. OTOH, on that same trip our DS had a studio with a Village Green view and was directly above the breezeway that everyone walks through between the elevators on one end and the Village Green/Boardwalk/walkway to Epcot on the other end, and he said it was noisy at night. The BW view villas (booking category) can be noisy at night too, but we haven't had noise problems when on a high floor - the trouble with those is that the 2BR are way down the hallway, closer to Jellyrolls, because the GV come first!

Looking at the map linked below, you might request View of Croquet Court, which would probably be the quietest but will be at the very far end of the BW-facing wing. So not necessarily close to the Epcot walkway.

IOW, you'll have to decide what's most important! If you need quiet, request View of Quiet Pool. It's a longer walk to the elevators and to Epcot, but the small kids should be able to rest better both in the afternoon and at night.

Thanks for the insight.
I think I'll go for the pool view as it's near the elevators and request a higher floor.
I think my sister is planning to bring a noise machine to help drown out the outside noise, but also she's kind of trained the twins to sleep in loud environments with having 3 noisy older sisters LOL. We plan on doing midday breaks for pool or nap time so being close to the pool would be beneficial.

I want to ask my parents what view they would like but would love to surprise them with a boardwalk view if possible.

The trip I mentioned above was with my parents, back in the day when BW view was a request only - and we didn't get it. Now that it's a booking category, if you book right at the 11 month window, you have a good chance!

I stayed in the one on the second floor about 7 or 8 years ago and it was P/G View at that time. You actually have two balconies in the 2nd floor one - the huge balcony off the bedroom and a small balcony off the living room.

We got this one once too. I loved the location, except for the noise from all of the carts being pushed along the cobblestone walk ways.

I'm happy to see the BW view room numbers. I've stayed in the section a few times, but have mostly stayed P/G or standard.

Going in February with brother and his family and I booked Boardwalk view because he enjoyed the area while we were at Disney last February. He can walk short distances but will need a chair for any distance, so I can at least put in a request for the closer rooms.

I have a 2 bedroom but a 3 bedroom would have been ideal, location wise. Maybe next time. Too bad I'm all borrowed out for my BW points.

We ended up with a 2nd floor studio facing the Village Green in May and had one of those enclosed balconies, which we really did not care for. I have booked a boarkwalk view studio for next May and am wondering how many of those types of balconies are in that booking category. Do all bw view
studios have a full balcony and if so, what would be the best request to get one that isn't enclosed?

The ones on the 2nd floor have the enclosed balcony, and I'll admit we were very disappointed when assigned one of those. I request "high floor" now, which takes care of the balcony issue as well as helping with reducing noise from the BW itself (especially at night when the entertainment is going).
