The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

We were in a GV last week, so I can’t answer about the pullout beds. We did have the dual coffee maker, which I would expect in the 1BR and larger but not sure about studios.

However, I can say with certainty that there is a playground! It’s next to the Luna Park pool. Several slides, a little climbing wall, etc. I snapped a couple of photos.

I thought it was still there

Yes--combo coffee pots with regular drip and k-cups and coffee is provided for both types. Pullouts are from the wall. No real play area, just a very small kiddie pool area.
Fabulous! Thank you. This is for the studios too I'm guessing. Thank you so much! I will have our own coffee.

Thank you so much! This is perfect! Nothing to spend the day but to just run and unwind quickly (although we also have the BW for that too LOL).
I appreciate your taking the time to post the pictures!

Oh my! Thank you so much for this information! We always have a grocery and alcohol order set up for when we arrive but this ONE time I decided I'll just buy my wine at the Screen Door and pick up half and half for my daughter's coffee and little things.
Did they still have wine?
I guess I can talk a walk to the Beach Club general store. Is that usually pretty stocked up.

Thank you for this helpful information.
You can also pop over to the Speedway gas station that is just across the street from BWV. I'm not sure on their wine selection, but they have a decent snack and non-alcohol selection, at a better price than Disney's prices.

UPDATE - IT’S OFFICIAL:

Agree that the Boardwalk needs a quick serve...and more than pizza & corndogs.
We walk to the Dolphin and love the sandwiches that they will toast. We always buy one ham (has other things on it including special jam which sounds gross and is fabulous) and the roast beef one which is always fabulous. Then we take back to the room....either BWV or BCV and share a half of each. Perfect.

Does anyone know if the ice cream shop is permanently closed? We stayed a week at BCV just recently and the ice cream shop always was closed. Did Cake Shop run them out?
Yes, I know Beaches & Cream also have Butter Pecan (ha) but the other is more convenient when staying at BWV. Beaches...is fine when at BCV.

They were open over Christmas week.

You guys made my day!!

We just put in an offer for 100 points at BWV. It was fun to read all the positive comments about the place.

Cross your fingers for me that it passes ROFR.

Kristine
I wish you the best of luck and hope it goes through. I remember putting in my first offer for 360 points at a steal and Disney exercised their right of refusal and bought it back. I then just purchased directly from Disney and am so glad I did.

We are arriving at BWV in 4 days.

1. Can I order groceries to be delivered at BWV if I am at the park? I know Bell services can keep the food until I get there, what about perishables like dairy products?

2. Is the Screen door market closed as of now? So nothing is available at Boardwalk now for quick groceries as we speak?

3. If I want the grocery delivery services on the day I arrive (therefore before I get an assigned room with number), is that ok? Or is it better to wait until I get the room number and then place the order for delivery?

Thanks

Yes, just make sure whatever delivery service you use knows to package refrigerator vs. freezer vs. room temperature items separately so that Bell Services can store them appropriately.

When we were there Jan. 10-17, the refurb had just begun, and the groceries had been moved into much smaller shelf and refrigerator space and were much more limited in what they had. It also looked like things were temporary, so I can’t say how things are now. The staff believed they would continue to offer some groceries and refrigerated items but couldn’t say what they’d have reliably from day to day. IOW, I wouldn’t say that “nothing” is available, but I wouldn’t count on anything in particular being available! Hopefully someone there now can update.

As long as the name of the primary guest is on the order, you don’t need the room number. When you’re ready to pick up the groceries or have them delivered, just give them that name. It’s exactly the same as arriving before you know your room number and needing to check luggage with Bell Services.

Interior Refurbishment Under Way at Screen Door on Disney's BoardWalk

The eastern half of Screen Door General Store is currently behind walls as the shop interior is being refurbished. The entry doors closest to the BoardWalk resort lobby are currently blocked-off, with signage directing guests to other entry points.

Disneys Boardwalk Screen Door Refurbishment 2025c

This space is normally home to a variety of grocery items including refrigerated and frozen goods. It also hosts the display case with a variety of baked goods and sweets. Some temporary accommodations have been made, including an interim cooler with a small selection of beverages. Upon request, Cast Members may be able to locate select items stored off-stage.

Disneys Boardwalk Screen Door Refurbishment 2025b

According to employees, this is just the first half of a project which will encompass the entire shop. When the section currently walled-off is complete, the western side of Screen Door will be similarly refurbished. The work is believed to be a general refresh of the space with no massive changes planned. No specific timeline for completion is known.

@DaviVascaino Looks like there’s not much of a grocery now! You could go to the Marketplace at Yacht & Beach, though.

Yah there’s no dining at BWV:

Abracadabra Bar - apps and drinks

Boardwalk Deli

Boardwalk Ice Cream

Boardwalk Joes Marvelous Margaritas- snacks and drinks

Flying Fish

Pizza Window

Trattoria Al Forno

Leaping Libations

Carousel Coffee

Corn Dog Stand

Cake Bake

And Epcot, BVC, Swan, Dolphin all walking distance. Then don’t forget all the Skyliner hotels. But there’s no where to eat 😜

Agree!! Last week I walked along the Boardwalk each day (4) I was there. Every location was open and serving guests. The weather was lovely and the tables were busy with people enjoying. People were on the Village Green. There were people renting the pedal cars (?). I saw night time entertainment one night. It was two girls with hula hoops all lit up. It’s just beautiful along the Boardwalk at night.

Recommendations on best view / room to request for a 2 BR lockoff garden/pool view? We’ve never stayed on the DVC side. We own at BCV and our favorites are high rooms to give views not blocked by trees. Any firework views even if far off?

I have been stalking the BW view villa rooms for our stay in March for MONTHS. I thought I was seeing things when I saw it opened up this AM and was able to switch my garden/pool to a BW view studio. YEAH!!! I've only ever had a standard view, so I am excited to finally be able to look out on the BW next month! (I'm glad I stalked as we had a waitlist but I think it would have been too slow to grab it for me.)

That is awesome! You are going to love it. Enjoy every minute!
