The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

I have been stalking the BW view villa rooms for our stay in March for MONTHS. I thought I was seeing things when I saw it opened up this AM and was able to switch my garden/pool to a BW view studio. YEAH!!! I've only ever had a standard view, so I am excited to finally be able to look out on the BW next month! (I'm glad I stalked as we had a waitlist but I think it would have been too slow to grab it for me.)

Yay! Enjoy! The best view in all the World. 😍

Screen Door General Store at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn Resort Undergoing Refurbishment Through May 2025

Upon entering the store, we noticed a white construction wall had been set up as refurbishment work continues.

One section of the store has completed renovations and now displays a more modern look with coastal green and blue colors with light wood flooring.

A white construction wall separated the newly refurbished store section from the continued work being done on the remaining part of the store. New tile flooring at the center of the store features a geometric pattern of white, green, blue, and tan colors.

Guests have access to groceries in the renovated section of the store along with candy and confectionary treats at the counter.

Refurbishment work has not yet taken place at the other end of the store. The old theming is still intact with the wooden flooring, checkout counter, and lighting fixtures. White construction walls were also visible from this end of the store as the middle portion is being refurbished.

Since Disney stated the refurbishment would happen in phases with two sections of the store remaining open to guests, this section would be the next and final section to undergo refurbishment.

Thanks for the update. I’m sorry they took the ceiling fans out of the villas but added them to the store!

@DaviVascaino, when is your trip? Looks like the grocery section is pretty much back to normal!

I am leaving today. They just closed down another section of the store. I don't think the grocery station is fully operational, but it has some basic items.

I am often at Boardwalk every 3-4 months, but this year I booked a few other DVC spots, so a few weeks ago I was in the Fort Wilderness cabins, and in June I'll be at Saratoga...my next Boardwalk stay will be in mid-September, so hopefully they'll at least start to have some plans figured out by then for the Big River and Jellyroll's spots. I know they aren't going to be open or running, but I'd like to at least hear official confirmations that something will be going in those spots - especially some kind of casual American-food eatery at the Big River spot...still sorely needed at Boardwalk. At least the store renovations should be complete by then!

Hi. We’re staying at Boardwalk for the first time in a standard studio. Do all the studios have the full Murphy and the twin Murphy, or is this something I should request? I know BRV doesn’t have Murphy beds on the top floor so just wondering if there are exceptions at BWV. Thanks!

I don’t believe the 123 series has them due to the window placement in the room.

Hi.
Is it correct that that one bedrooms only sleep four? Two in living room pull down and 2 in bedroom with the queen bed?

Thank you.

They say they do allow five in the one bedrooms, but you have to bring your own bedding. Is the expectation that someone sleeps on the floor? Feels like a studio would be a much better bet for five, if so. I know it's smaller space, but at least everyone has a place to sleep.

Yes, We keep an air mattress in one of our owners lockers and it fits perfectly between the murphy bed and the tv just like where in the studios they have the flip down twin.

A lot of people said they didn't put that because of the layouts but they were able to do so at SSR and it is pretty much identical, however the connecting door to the studio is near the TV at BWV vs SSR where it is in the entry way.

I still think it could have fit but that imo.
