The I Love BWV (yes, Hallways and Clown Pool too!) Thread

Have you thought about asking the front desk for a fan that may mask the noise?
Thank you for the suggestion. I may have to add one to our owners locker. We have Hatch sound machines for the kids and I have noise canceling earbuds for myself. But nothing could help the steady pounding in my chest from the heavy bass beat of the music they were playing. Fortunately, the performers were much quieter the last couple of nights. There was a barbershop quartet a couple of nights ago and nothing that we could hear the following night.

I posted on the Inn thread, will post here. appreciate any insight from everyone

It is getting closer to my check in date at Boardwalk villa Boardwalk view studio (Feb 2025).

I would prefer a dedicated room (no connecting doors, due to noise concerns), but I understand there are only a hand full of those, boardwalk view.

From a view and noise standpoint, My priority should be the highest floor possible (I would love a 5th or 4th floor) or dedicated studio room? I understand the boardwalk can be noisy at night, but we usually get to the hotels from the park later at night (8-9 pm), and we always use a white noise app to sleep.

I need to ask the renter to contact DVC and make the requests. thanks!

After 8pm is when the BW will be the loudest. So with a BW view room I would make upper floor your priority over a connecting door.

Lots of good questions. Unfortunately most of the answers were non answers.

Yes, and the refrigerated section is reduced to a tiny unit about 2 feet wide by maybe 6 feet tall. I saw OJ and milk, I think, but no eggs, no bacon, no frozen pizza, etc. The non refrigerated section is only a very few shelves. So be sure to plan on a grocery order or a grocery stop, because you can’t depend on the Screen Door for meal supplies currently. Hopefully the refurb of that section will be completed quickly.

Do all of the Deluxe Studios now have the queen pulldown or do some rooms still have the sofa pullout?

Oh my! Thank you so much for this information! We always have a grocery and alcohol order set up for when we arrive but this ONE time I decided I'll just buy my wine at the Screen Door and pick up half and half for my daughter's coffee and little things.
Did they still have wine?
I guess I can talk a walk to the Beach Club general store. Is that usually pretty stocked up.

Thank you for this helpful information.

Sorry, I didn’t look for wine. We needed eggs only, so I was focused on that refrigerator unit and barely noticed that non refrigerated items were on a shelf unit on the other side of the checkout.

Are all the rooms done with refurb? I have pool/garden view studio tomorrow night. Want a Sat night but grabbed this to see the refurbed rooms so if we could get one not done then I can try to swap to Sat (there is an AKV open right now...edit to add that it's already gone but I will stalk all day).

All BWV rooms are done with refurbishment.
Had our overnight at BWV Friday night. Rooms are lovely. And we were upgraded from a P/G view studio to a BW view 1BR. Sweet!!! We were super excited and then noticed it was, literally, right next to Jellyrolls (on 1st floor). So we figured we'd have a noisy night. But it wasn't. Was a great stay. Loved the room redo. Keurigs too, yay.

Thank you for this information. I'm confirming the Keurigs are the duel regular coffee or the cups. Is this correct?
Does the pull out come from the couch or wall? We will be there in less than 2 weeks. Last there was in October but in a one bedroom so not sure what to expect with the P/G studio.

Also, does anyone know if there is a playground? My 3 year old grandson will be with us and would stop there during the day.

Thank you.

Yes--combo coffee pots with regular drip and k-cups and coffee is provided for both types. Pullouts are from the wall. No real play area, just a very small kiddie pool area.

We were in a GV last week, so I can’t answer about the pullout beds. We did have the dual coffee maker, which I would expect in the 1BR and larger but not sure about studios.

However, I can say with certainty that there is a playground! It’s next to the Luna Park pool. Several slides, a little climbing wall, etc. I snapped a couple of photos.
