I can't remember how much garlic goes for....but I quite like the idea of making something with garlic.

Trust pio to come up with something awesome, make sure to post pics if you make something like that!

If you make things into clothes, doesn't that make them.....well, clothes?

Yeah I was wondering that too... At what point does it stop being material and start being clothes?? :lmao:

The grass skirt and coconut bra aren't a bad idea... What about a costume in general? Surely most people wouldn't call them clothes :rotfl:

you could always go the toga route with a large sheet draped & securely fastened -- i would definitely recommend underwear/swimwear underneath though :)

you could also go the costume route and hire something that doesn't look like it is made from normal clothes, ie a muppet, an animal, a piece of fruit etc.

good luck with it... just make sure the fabric is breathable... weather & temps have been ferocious lately :(

My first thought was wrapping yourself in tinfoil a la the tinman from wizard of oz ...I love the idea of flowers too

I remember someone went to the Oscars several years ago in a dress made entirely of American Express cards. How much time do you have to put this together, Bec? :scared:

Andona

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

Got DD's orthodontist monthly account in the mail yesterday. $4,960 now owing, that's about $450 more than what our verandah suite on the Fantasy is costing us next year :rolleyes1 Yep, I'm now thinking in Disney dollars...

I think the toga will be my lazy back up costume :rotfl:

Yeah I want to be comfortable... Main thing, must be comfortable

PIO those outfits are making me hungry. Have done the palm frong thing to go to a P party as a palm tree.

The girls at my daughters school make the most amazing outfits out of newspapers each year in an interhouse competition. There is sewing involved and all. Last year that had to make national costumes. Garbage bags woven together, lots of fun and funky colours to be bright. Wont stain if you spill a drink. Make flowers from them for decoration.

I like the Amex card dress, the designer of the costumes from Priscilla wore that. Makes me think of beer caps.

You could go as a bean bag and cut arm and leg holes into an old bean bag. Theres a look. Not clothes, furniture. Or use empty beer cartons, tableclothes, teatowels. Big tea towels could be sewn into a simple slip dress. Use plastic knives and forks as the straps and you are a picnic.

I'll keep thinking. Friday night drinks could make it even more interesting.

Toga......works for all occasions.....

Has anyone else seen the shoe ornaments coming out next spring on the Disney Parks blog? And the new ear hats? Sigh I'll have to put money aside to do at least two international orders  or beg Macy to get them sent to her place for free and re-send them on to Aus :upsidedow

Shoes I spied: Minnie, Daisy, Tink, Alice, Mary Poppins, Belle, Jasmine, Tiana, Rupunzel, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Ariel, The Queen, Queen of Hearts, Cruella, Ursula, Maleficent and I think Jack (NBC).

New ear hats I spied: Its a Small World, Agent P, Oogie Boogie (NBC), Mayor of Halloween Town (NBC), Jack-o-latern (NBC), Pooh, Tigger, Space Mountain, Santa, Steamboat Willie and I think Mickey Pirate and Big Thunder Railroad.

Has anyone else actually bought any of the ear hats this year?

I have 17  but they were all discounted (25% off, 3 for $50 or 4 for $75 plus 25% off). So in love them them, cannot wait to have my own Disney tree when I buy a house! I'm thinking I need one more off eBay because Lightning McQueen needs Mater :lmao:

I always wanted to be a journalist when I was younger so I present to you the pressing issues of the day...

1) What is your favourite brand of vacuum cleaner?

2) Are you for Team Karen or Team Anyone Else

3) What are your top 5 movies

4) Are you prepared to rush out and buy any Disney-related items found at Coles/Woolies/Aldi/Costco/Big W etc?

:rolleyes1

1) What is your favourite brand of vacuum cleaner? Electrolux

2) Are you for Team Karen or Team Anyone Else What?

3) What are your top 5 movies This will take me some time, come back to me

4) Are you prepared to rush out and buy any Disney-related items found at Coles/Woolies/Aldi/Costco/Big W etc? Not anything, depends on the quality. I'm not going to buy a heap of melamine cups just coz they've got something Disney on them.

1) What is your favourite brand of vacuum cleaner? Dyson (love my purple Dyson friend)

2) Are you for Team Karen or Team Anyone Else. Team Karen, who else makes you laugh so hard on a regular basis. Like Yoda (oh so wise) and young looking for her age.

3) What are your top 5 movies: Meatballs (BillMurray), Princess Bride, Dirty Dancing, Mary Poppins, Sleepless in Seattle (ask me again tomorrow, it will change) Breakfast Club, St Elmos Fire, Affair to Remember, Miracle on 34th Street, Ferris Bueller

4) Are you prepared to rush out and buy any Disney-related items found at Coles/Woolies/Aldi/Costco/Big W etc? I will always look for Disney, but usually have spent too much at a sale at the Disney Store. We do make Mickey pancakes each Sunday morning though...
