With looking at the 4-night cruises out of Port Canaveral in September, I am thinking that the Wish might get more last minute discounted rates than the Fantasy. One reason being, kids will miss five days of school with a Wish cruise, but only miss three days on a Fantasy cruise. Could this be a factor? Maybe I need to look at a 5-day Fantasy cruise in better chances of getting those rates?

I am just seeing more GTY categories currently on the 4-night sailings verses the 5-night sailings. So I was trying to rack my brain.

Highly likely the Wish will have a GTY rate for September. Possible for the Fantasy. This last September the Wish had crazy rates.
Fantasy was over seas last year so no recent data to work with

Right. I want to sail the Fantasy with a nice discount and I believe the 5-night sailings may have better odds for such.

I expect that the odds are good for both to come through. School days aren't an issue as it's the start of the school year for some, but not for others. Even for the ones that have started school, it's too soon for any of them to miss days.

Also, September starts fall break - so lots of kids are out for a week. Just wait for a discount and book the cruise you want. There will be plenty of discounts. We have sailed VGT on the fantasy since 2017 - and always a fall cruise.
