3) What are your top 5 movies

I love random questions like this.

Love Actually
Bridget Jones Diary
Notting Hill
About a Boy
And just to break from the trend of British movies starring Hugh Grant - Dirty Dancing.

Polar Express
Up
Anchorman
Three Amigos
Flying High (Also known as Airport)
Zoolander
The Muppet Movie

Yes I know that's more then 5, but that was after a fair bit of culling, and I'm pretty sure I'm still forgetting some...

I always wanted to be a journalist when I was younger so I present to you the pressing issues of the day...

1) What is your favourite brand of vacuum cleaner?

Miele; only because my first vacuum cleaner was a Miele and over LASTed 25 years. And my second vacuum cleaner is a Miele. Ask me again in another 25 years.

2) Are you for Team Karen or Team Anyone Else

What sort of hard-hitting investigative journalistic question is this???? Everyone knows.....It's. All. About. Me! (And anyone who says otherwise should be in running for the PM job).

3) What are your top 5 movies

I think that if I answered this question, my top 5 movies would push this thread over page 250.

4) Are you prepared to rush out and buy any Disney-related items found at Coles/Woolies/Aldi/Costco/Big W etc?

:rolleyes1

You mean.....The DisANZACs haven't tapped out the stock already???? Folks - I'm surprised!

See above.

I wish they'd make a Colin Firth perfume :) To me he'll always be Mr Darcy - swoon :)

Ahhh, the ever charasmatic Colin Firth. :-)

Despite four of my favourite movies featuring Hugh Grant, I don't actually find Hugh that attractive. It's Colin Firth's characters in Love Actually and Bridget Jones that I find the most lovable.

His character in Love Actually makes me go all mushy and want to protect him. I'm not a Hugh grant fan either.

So glad someone's finally willing to address the big stuff!

1. Old school Tellus, the ones that look a little like R2D2 (if you squint and tip your head to the side). They don't make them like that anymore though, mine's got to be approaching 30 years old and is still going strong. My inbuilt works pretty good.

2. Go Team Karen!!

3. Ooh... Hard. Did just see Pitch Perfect last night though, loved it! BBC P&P (does that count as a movie?), Princess Bride, Dumb & Dumber, Mamma Mia, are all movies I can watch over & over... Give me a good romance where I can fall in love with the male lead and I'm happy

4. Prepared? Btdt and they look great on my tree ;)

Thank you all for answering.

Now a more pressing question:

Mr Darcy - Colin Firth or some other Mr Darcy imposter?

Me? Oh, Colin Firth any day :)

Is there anyone else?

Definitely my favourite, but Matthew MacFadyen is a close second...

On our first visit to the UK, my DD ( then 17 and huge P&P fan) and I were on a bit of a P&P pilgrimage. We visited Lyme Park in the Peak District which was "Pemberley" in the Colin Firth production and saw Matthew MacFadyen's marble bust at Chatsworth House , which was Pemberley in the movie. Good times... :goodvibes

Andona

I haven't actually seen P&P, but with my maiden name I often get people quoting at me, it's usually that line about how it's every woman's imperative to find a good husband... Or something... :lmao:

Go get yourself a copy!

So, I'm sitting here eating the rum balls I made earlier. I upped the rum quotient from 1.5 tablespoons to 1/4 cup and I still can't taste the rum!!!!

And, now I've got a round 100&1000 between the L and K keys that I can't get out :confused3
