I arrived yesterday from cold to warm weather as well. Went straight to the expo. I wore leggings, tshirt and sweatshirt. Ditched the sweatshirt when we arrived. Was a little toasty with leggings but not bad. Was happy to get into a skirt though, once we got checked in to hotel.Perfect, thank you! Planning a wardrobe change without a room can be a pain.![]()
Cutie!!!
Yes! It was crazy seeing how many people bought.Expo is pretty quiet. Got my shoes which was the only thing I really wanted. They said they are running out of popular sizes on the weekend show. Though I also saw a couple walk out with at least 15 boxes ahead of me ….

Jai Alai is a much better beer than Goose Island! May have to hold out to getting to the resort for the first beer.Last year they had Goose Island which is ok I guess. I’d prefer they had Jai Alai which they seem to have everywhere else on property.
Ive never seen anyone doing it at WDW, but at my local race in Baton Rouge, you could get beer, jello shots, orange slices (Really wish this was a option at WDW) and the fire shots of whiskey everyone has these days. Doing this at WDW though in the park is a really expensive thing to do lol. I like IPA's and if you find yourself around mile 24 or 25 I should be passing through around 8 lol.Do people really do this? I would love to buy some runners some beers, but I don't want to feel like an idiot holding a beer out towards the race path if no one is going to take it from me. I don't even drink beer!
@marty3d what corral did you get (if you comfortable sharing) - we have similar POT/bib numberExpo is pretty quiet. Got my shoes which was the only thing I really wanted. They haven’t been publicizing the names. I think I might know one of them, I’ll text you. I can try to find out for sure tomorrow.Didn't see anything on a cursory search, but I saw on Facebook that they're not releasing the names of the 7hr pacers ahead of time this year (or any pacers for that matter). I see three names that were end of pack pacers in previous years participating this year (14809, 30114, 30361). Anyone else have any info? If someone happens to catch a glimpse pre-marathon, @ me so I can use that info for our back of packers tracking.
Really curious what POT got you in B vs A if you don’t mind sharing!Just came from the expo. Not too crowded. Got a pair of adrenalines which I was counting on running in Saturday. Have another pair broken in for Sunday. Ordered two pairs of the weekend ghost maxes for my son and I. Said they would arrive in about a week.
I was also able to get my coral moved up. I used the same race from 2024 that got me A when doing dopey last year. They were nice going through my Strava history to find a race that got me into A. The one I submitted was off by a minute.
Now enjoying some dinner at the polite pig.

Goose Island isn’t great, but it’s not bad for parking lot beers. Come join us after the race.I love me a good parking lot beer. Any IPA's available in the post race area? I am also one of these weird people that do not want to eat much of anything until the next day after a marathon and to a extent a half. Not sure what thats all about but I hope I get hungry enough to get my carrot cake cookie in DHS Sunday evening.
