you know how they say that addicts need to reach rock bottom and realise it for themselves before they seek help? well, i'm an emotional eater, and i've let my bad habits get the better of me for the last few years while going through a hideous, emotionally draining divorce and putting my life back together (while putting on a whole heap of weight!!)... well, today while trying on my sports bra in the store, i hit rock bottom... i was in one of those horrible dressing rooms with like 3 mirrors positioned in such a way to make you look your fattest, with the worst lighting.. i looked haggard and gross and bloated and chunky and my thighs have cellulite and .... blech. i reached my rock bottom. (literally )

so, health kick started today & will continue on sunday and then ... powering forward

Ugh - does anyone look good in dressing room mirrors - I hate those places - I think they do it so your self esteem is so low you will buy something just to make you feel better!

I've stopped shopping in stores. I much prefer to order it online - from the comfort of my own home, try it on when it arrives - from the comfort of my own home - and return it if it's not right - this has to be done at the post office, but 2 out of 3 ain't bad!

Thanks everyone, have to get through 10 days of prac first and at the moment I feel like this Just not enjoying it as much as my previous pracs for a variety of reasons and feel like I'm being patronized by one of the staff members each time I have a question as if I should know the damn answer, felt like bursting into tears at one point today as a result

Love hearing about the health kick! I'm such as sucker for junk food but its only in sporadic bursts lol I need a fun sized chocolate to get me through prac though, thats my vice haha Should also add in some exercise to be fit for all the running around in the US

Haha sooo true!!! I'm quite petite on top but have curvy hips and detest trying clothes on because nothing ever fits the way it should! It if nice on top, its too tight across the hips and if the hips work, its too baggy on top

I wish someone would just fix the standard clothing size already!!! I think everybody has a range of at least 5 sizes they can fit into, what the hell I have a range of sizes I willingly try on and if a size in that range doesn't fit I refuse to try it on out of principal Pants are usually the culprit in places like Kmart where the sizes are on the smaller side...

Hahaha EXACTLY!!! I have a few Kmart tops but the quality is quite shocking so won't waste my time again. I think the kids clothes are very cute though

I nearly died trying on a pair on pants in there for the first time in years last year, the size that is usually slightly big on me in Target (because the size below is just that big uncomfortable to wear lol) would not even do UP in Kmart, a good inch between the zippers
