The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Man, I am NOT KIDDING, I can hardly keep my eyes open. Guess I should give up trying then, huh? :rotfl:

Good night, kids. Try to behave! :cloud9:

Goodnight Alex! I think I'm headed off to bed also. Happy Dreams to both of you.:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Plus elk meat is so much better for you than beef, yet it tastes almost the same. It is very low in fat and the fat that it does have is more unsaturated fat than compared to beef. I do have the butcher add some beef fat to the hamburger, otherwise it's so lean you can't even get it to stick together and you have to add oil to the pan to keep it from sticking.

I wish I could call it free meat...but I'm sure by the time we factor in all the food, ammunition, guns and other stuff it's probably not any less expensive than buying beef. But DH lives all year for this couple of weeks! As DD told him the other day...it's just like a giant grown men slumber party in the woods!:rotfl:

:lmao: :lmao: Thats funny! My husband is just dying to be able to start hunting again. I dont see that happening for a while though. :rolleyes1

Well send him down here next year. You can bring the kidlets and visit...we can have a grown girls slumber party. Not to mention that I have a built in babysitter with lots of babysitter friends!:thumbsup2

If he ever wants to go elk hunting, DH has an open elk camp. Anyone that wants to join is welcome. So many of the guys have closed camps...by invitation only. Some will only allow guys that can take an entire week or two off work, they don't want just the guys that can only hunt on weekends. DH's camp has some guys that can come only on weekends, this year they only have 3 of them that are there full time, some years they have 6 or more full time. Just varies each year. They hunt up near Mt. St. Helens.

My favorite way to get out of jury duty....when you send the form in ask them if they have a private area where you can breastfeed/express milk every few hours. Usually I get a notice back within a few days that I've been excused!

Note that you don't lie! You didn't tell them that had a baby, you didn't tell them that you breastfeed...you merely asked if they had an area available for that purpose. It's not your fault if they read something else into your question.:lmao:

I just applied for a position with Obama's team! No I'm not kidding!! I shared my vision for America and applied on www.change.gov. They haven't identified the jobs, but are seeking citizens to help. So I gave them my vision and ideas. I'm sure Mr. Obama will be calling me back by this afternoon, don't you think??:lmao:

Just checking in to see if Megan has some gender info. for us yet.

You 're actually paying for the Steamers? Silly woman.. there are $1/1 printables on coupon.com :flower3:
hmmm and a 50/1 on any green giant frozen vegetable.. found that one in the database on hot coupon world .. I think .. it's all a blur now.

I turn on both my computers and print two from each-- total of four coupons on every printable . :thumbsup2

Rainbow had them for a $1 each.. guess who has a nice stash of free vegies now?

:lovestruc

Can you believe I skipped doing a general mills catalina deal.. I decided I had too much cereal and not much else appealed to me .. but it was buy $30 of these products and get $15 catalina coupon.

And there was a buy $20 of these Hunt's products and get a $10 catalina.

The ladies on my yahoo group are happily rolling the catalinas on the deal, someone had done enough runs that even after using the catalinas to pay for the products (plus other coupons) she still had $47. Now that's dedication to couponing.

I could have bought more cheerios and a few boxes of BC potatoes and came out only paying $6 (after catalina) . But do I really need 8 more boxes of cheerios?? hmm- not really. I still have 12 from the last deal :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

hmmm, still waiting on hubby to return from an interview.. the longer it takes the better right?

oh and we are missing the storm in the dakotas-- yeah us.. :woohoo:

16 years ago today, I pledged my love and my life to a special man.

And though our life together has not been an easy journey, we are in this together.

I wouldn't change a thing.
