The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Nope. That what I got married for. We call it the passing of the babies around here. Or.... Get them out of my room before I kill you all. ;)

:lmao: You should have seen the look on DH's and DN's face last night. You see, I had a Dr appt on Tuesday, and have been whacked out ever since. DH said something, and I looked at him, told him that I hoped he realized I was feeling homicidal right now, and he had better watch it. DN's eyes lit up, he escorted my screaming child to take a bath, and sent DH and I to the store :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I'm thinking maybe we can get you a new handsfree wireless computer so you can hold a baby in each arm and DIS.:thumbsup2

:lmao: :lmao: AWESOME!! Frelan understands... Especially right now. All I have to do is give him the LOOK. He grabs the children and runs for the safe haven of the game store.

Just wanted to show you guys what happens when you have a teenage daughter and you give them money and a car....they go to Walmart and start dressing themselves.

She looks JUST LIKE you! I have never realized that before!! Oh... and my husband has a hat just like that. Only his is bright red, and rabbit fur. I have tried to hide it, but every winter it somehow resurfaces. What can i say...He has had it longer then he has had me..:confused3

OK, now delete that picture. Don't want it floating around in cyberspace.:thumbsup2

And don't tell her she looks like me! Right now I'm the enemy...unless she wants money or the car keys.:thumbsup2 :rotfl2:

:lmao: People tell me that I look like my mom all the time. I HATE it. I DONT. I am WAY hotter. :rotfl2:

Groovy! I wonder if I could attach those slings to Alex? :rolleyes1 :lmao:

Well he's kinda short so they might drag on the ground. Best just to get him a giant bowl so he can carry the babies around on his head.:lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: omg... Naw... With his skinny little neck? Never work. Better to just chuck them on a blanket that he can drag behind him. ;)

Hello Hyenas,

Christina- Congrats on the ring shopping and engagement! I'm so happy for you! That's awesome news! :yay:

Staley- I can't wait to find out the gender of your twins :yay: :yay: :goodvibes:

Melody- those apron patterns look cute! Looks like fun to make :)

I'm sorry to hear that Gina has mono :( I wish her a speedy recovery. :grouphug:

In other news, I baked mini strawberry bundt cakes last night. I had leftover batter so I made a hello kitty cake (I will post a pic later). I had a hello kitty face mold and wanted to try it. :) Last night I went to Target and bought a load of xmas gift bags and xmas print chinese take-out boxes. They were all in ther dollar section so I went nuts! :rotfl: Then to my surprise I saw they had lots of Hello Kitty stuff for $1 so I went rump wild! :teeth:

That is one scary sad Santa. :scared: :sad2:

Hubby had me try his needle sticks today-- I was nervous about butchering his site but it was fine.

After treatment I pulled his needles. Did fine on the first one, got the second and wasn't in the right spot with the gauze pad.
SPURT

Quarter sized blood puddle on the table-- oops! :headache:

I've been toying with applying as a dialysis tech -- considering the amount of first hand knowledge I have on the process already, I would be better than some of the dorky techs that hubby has dealt with over the years. :rolleyes1
Using hubby as a training source for now.

Typically it's a 12 hour shift, 3 days a week. Lots of chances for overtime.

It's odd but true-- no certification/ license required for dialysis techs.

I'm so glad hubby doesn't go to center any more-- but I want to work at one  hmmm, I will convert every able bodied person to do home hemo-- muahahahhaha. :lmao:

So.... Alex asked if he could go with me to the Dr. tomorrow. He wants to see what sorta babies we are having. I told him it was okay with me.. if it was okay with his dad. Who doesnt seem to mind at all. :thumbsup2 Maybe it will be a Me and Alex kinda day. Maybe. But I dont see Frelan wanting to miss out on the appt. either.

Alex told my mom he fully intends to be there when the babies are born. He was very matter of fact about it. I know.. Kinda weird, huh? I dont think he will able to be there.. Just because I am pretty sure that twins are generally born in an operating room.. just in case, you know? But he sure does want to be. Maybe he just wants to watch movies.. That is what he remembers about when Mikalah was born. :lmao:

Hiya Megan! My Thursday night housework is almost done. Just waiting for the floors to dry and then I can put the rugs and bathroom stuff back down.

DD was supposed to be present for DS's birth. She was 6 and I was put on bed rest, so she went to stay with the grandparents for a few weeks. Grandma and her were at swimming lessons when my water broke. I was at work, water broke around 11am, cleared my desk and did a few last minute things. Called DH at noon, we drove to hospital, got checked in, called grandparents and left messages...but no one home. They gave me pitocin around 3pm, since hardly any contractions. Come to find out I had that 1 in 10,000 reaction to pitocin. DS was born at 4:30pm.:lmao: Pretty impressive since DD was a c-section, so he was like a first birth. Anyway granny & DD were driving to the hospital...when they were about 20 minutes away DD woke up and said...Granny my little brother was just born. Sure enough when they got to the hospital he had been born about 20 minutes prior. WEIRD!!

Anyway, I really do wish she had been there for the birth, she was looking so forward to it.

Thats really nice! Im glad to know that Im not the only one who thinks that would be okay. :thumbsup2 my mom just thought we were nuts. He KNOWS all about childbirth. Heck... He probably knows more then she does!:lmao:

Funniest thing about DS's birth...I left the office and noon....and then called them before 5pm to announce the birth. They all thought I was joking! NOPE...just organized and efficient.:lmao: Honestly, I felt so good after having him that I could have gone back to work. I was up a couple of hours later sweeping the floor and putting clean sheets on my bed. I can remember for about a week after having him I must have been on an adrenaline high or something because I felt awesome and absolutely full of energy. They made us stay that night and the next because DS was born 6 weeks early and the first day he had a little problem keeping his temp up. But I felt so good we went to Costco on the way home to buy a diaper bag...no diaper bags, but got two new recliner chairs.:rotfl2:
