It's those unruly children, I tell you! GEESH!

Not DS8 so much, I guess, but DS4 has been pushing every button today. We had a late dinner (7:00ish), then after I cleaned up the kitchen and kicked off the dishwasher, I got the boys into the shower. DS4 fought DH while he tried to wash him in the shower, and DH finally walked out of the bathroom (I was waiting with DS' towel and jammies) and said, "I'm tired of dealing with him. He's washed, he's just playing in there now."

I said, "No! Get him out! Now!"

Of course DS was ticked off, throwing a fit while I tried to dry him off and I finally told him to calm down or he was going to bed RIGHT NOW! Grrrrr!

So got him lubed up with his eczema medication, tossed into his jammies, and then the boys came downstairs briefly to play a computer game. DS8 was eating a drumstick (ice cream cone) and I realized then that it actually WAS bedtime, whooops!

So I booted DS4 upstairs, and told DS8 to scoot as soon as he was done with his ice cream.

They both just left. Where's that margarita Shawna promised me???

Geesh. I hate it when Mikalah gets like that. she doesnt get that it just gets her sent to bed THEN, and nothing extra. She tends to get really wound up when she is tired.. Makes me want to kick her in her little teeth. Lucky she is cute.

I could SO go for a margarita. YUM.. But only lime... anything else is just icky.. and not right. Its funny.. I never drink, but when I am pregnant, DANG. Do I ever want a drink.

Oh.. and Mikalah was a big ole turd today too.. She got out of the tub and FOUGHT like the devil to stay naked. All the way naked. Nuh-uh. Not in this house sister. So we argued about her panties. Finally she puts the dang things on, insisting to do it herself... and puts them on backwards. NORMALLY.. Not such a big deal. But she has a chubby bum. So she has had wedgies all day, and I tried to help her.. but she just yelled at me. So FINE. Wear your panties backwards.. I dont care!

We did a home delivered cloth service with N .. it was actually a mom with her own home business (using industrial machines, hot water, extra rinse...) .

As a small business, she didn't mind delivering to apartments and was very affordable compared to the bigger companies. Those velcro covers were slick! Super easy to use... even the hubby could handle it

And I have to agree with Shawna's doc advice.. it is the change in temps that weakens the immune sytem, more susceptible to colds. Hubby is attached to a fleece hat, wears it all the time as soon as the temp starts to dip. He got permission to wear it at work when he was a truck stop cashier. For him it makes a difference.

In regards to the onery children.. I wonder if the change in season is making them act out more? Plus most schools are powder kegs of excitement right now with Halloweeen coming up.

My co-teacher and I always said that if the kids were acting up in class.. watch the weather, it will be changing soon. We called them our little barometers.

I handle it for every one. I am usually pretty good at it. But his family is weird. They dont do anything... they dont like anything.. They never put pictures of the kids up that we give them, she has a picture of herself up.. and that is it. They dnt even go out to eat. EVER. Jack in the Box is as fancy as they have ever gone. REALLY.

We are getting my mom one of those digital picture frames.. I was like.. hey, we could get the inlaws one too.. I dont think my MIL would even get what it is.

I had a blast the last time we had our family Christmas party, it was after Christmas (too many schedule conflicts before the holiday) so I hit u all the clearance sales.

Bought things that didn't look like holiday items. Car wash kits, small rugs (red, green), jewelry, small toys, gourmet foods/ candy.. wrapped each invidually and we played the dice game during dessert.

Everyone left with at least two items and we had my dad and my BIL fighting back and forth on one package.. turned out to be the car wash kit, my dad (disabled, doesn't drive any more) handed it over when he opened it.

If the kids recived something more adult like, they traded it out with their parents .. and vice versa. Candy went to the kids because a few of my family have diabetes.

It was fun! And all total was very inexpensive!
