The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

OMG!!!! Speaking of inappropriateness... Where the heck is Shawna??????? I went to buy some snacks at a gas station today, and they had Jumbo sunflower seeds.. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I almost peed my pants thinking about Shawna.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao: Was it Shawna or Christina that didn't have those? I've never seen the jumbo ones.

Yeah, think clear fluids. :thumbsup2

Totally. Once.. When Alex was sick, I had to work and Frelans mom was watching him. She kept giving him milk. I had always thought that milk was bad when you are all phlemy. You know.. Because it makes you more phlemy.. I dont know.. Maybe thats just me. Because I hate milk and all. :lmao:

My doctor said that before too. That's why I don't drink milk if I have a cold.

Shawna had a very inappropriate incident when she went to find some.. Ill let her tell it when she pops back up, but it was FUNNY. SO FUNNY.

It's interesting to meet docs outside of the office, one of the nephrologists on the team has a daughter that goes to the same school as J.

Hubby noticed the doc on an open house night at school. She's normally very professional and greets patients on rounds, chats with nurses etc..

At the open house she kinda froze for a minute and stared at hubby .. quickly waved and ran off to another class.

I dont drink milk ever. GAG. But I had thought it was common knowledge.. then I thought that maybe I was wrong.. But then i went back the theory that my MIL is just an idiot. It seems the most accurate. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Oh yeah, I remember that post :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

It was Christina that couldn't find them in her area.. that was when she lived in Canada.

I wonder if they have them in Scotland.. Probably not.. huh? Ill bet she has killer chocolate though.

Nice to know the docs get a bit uncomfortable, too.

I love my GYN, she's fabulous. But I was so surprised one day when DS8's soccer team (he was 5yo at the time) played HER DS's team! (She delivered DS8 while hugely pregnant, and two days later delivered her boy.) :lmao:

I was sort of stammery, but she was cool. Love her!

The time I bumped into one of the high risk PG docs at the daycare (his son had just begun attending) was embarrassing. Because... well, he's a man, and he's seen... well, everything of mine.

:lmao: That's odd that you hate milk considering you're taller than the rest of us! :rotfl2: ;)

E's to the point where he thinks his own mom does some dorky moves.. so I guess it's not just the inlaws.
Geesh... I dont even know where to start with my oms idiotness. OH WELL.. I am still alive, so must not have been TO BAD. :lmao:

darn you !:headache:

Now I need something sweet.
NORMALLY.. I wouldnt mention this where Alison might run across it...:rolleyes1 But when we went grocery shopping last weekend, we bought a ton of crap. Sweets, chips, ice cream.. all KINDS of stuff. YUM. :lmao: Most of it is gone now.. Thanks to my husband who SWEARS he doesnt have a sweet tooth. :sad2: Seriously.. 3 packages of Little Debbie snacks gone in like 2 days. I didnt eat any of it.
:lmao: That's odd that you hate milk considering you're taller than the rest of us! :rotfl2: ;)
:lmao: I know, right! That was my one thing going into parenthood. My parents ALWAYS made me drink milk. FORCED me. I SWORE I would never force my kids t drink it. They both love the stuff!:lmao: :lmao:

Hubby gets cravings for ice cream, we buy it.
I offer to dish him some everytime the boys and I have some.. he refuses.

Weeks go by..

Hubby: oh I have ice cream! (starts looking in the freezer)

Me: umm nooooo you don't, we ate it already.

Hubby: But I didn't get any (pout)

Me: that's not my problem :rolleyes1

DH bought some Kit-Kats and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. He asked tonight, "There were 4 of these in this bag! Now there's only 1! Did you eat them???"

One... two... three...

I said, "They're bad for you."

You snooze... you lose. Thats it rolls on my house. :lmao: If I really want something for myself, I buy something he doenst like. Sometimes even that doesnt work. :lmao:

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Indeed!

Hubby and I make a point of buying treats that we know the boys don't like.. it's the only way we can actually have them before they are gone!

Except now that J is older.. not much is in the "icky" zone. :scared1:

Drat! Now we resort to hiding things in the far far corners of the cabinets-- you know, the cabinet that has canned vegetables. ;)
