The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Snoresville. Had a guy out to fix a CO monitor on our home security system. He just replaced it altogether, it was pretty quick. Annoying as YOU KNOW WHAT when the alarm goes beeping loudly, but at least it's done.

Got and wrapped a birthday present for DS4 to take to a birthday party tomorrow. Before that I need to register the kids for the next round of swim classes, at a bleary-eyed 7 AM.

DS8 also has an ortho appointment, DH has a soccer game (coaching), so we are running hither and thither until about 2 PM. :faint:

How was your day?
Blech. I have been waking up around 3 or 4 to pee every morning.. Then I sleep for another couple of hours.. Making sure the hubby gets Alex off to school with everything he needs... Then I fall back alseep for a couple more hours.

I woke up this morning and hubby wanted to go run some errands, so I went with him.. and BOY. I should have stayed home. I was sore, and crabby, and tired.. I just wanted to go home. He even took me to cold stone for ice cream.. and I didnt want any. :confused3 I came home and I was just beat. and I started getting all crampy and icky. I dont know. I just feel like crap today!

My handsome prince just dished me up some vanilla. :lovestruc
Now I need to go doctor it with... stuff. Chocolate sauce? Nuts? I think we're out of bananas, dang it. Hmmm... I'm sure I'll think of something. :)

Sorry, I will stop now, I am just so happy to see him doing so great!!! :yay: :dance3:

ok, done now... :guilty:

:goodvibes Brag away! You both deserve it!

I was reading back a little bit and noticed you guys talking about coupons and stuff...well how's this for a good deal:
Last weekend DBF and I stopped at the Outlet Mall at stateline on the way home from Vegas. We always go to the DC Shoe store because they have shoes for about 1/2 of what they normally are. Well I found some that were marked down 75% so I only paid $8.07 total for like $65 shoes.

SWEET deal!!

Tomorrow is pumpkin day. I promised Alex he could do his own... We got one of those pumpkin carving kits... This little saws that come with them look fairly safe. And if he saws off a digit.. Oh well.. He has 9 more, right? :lmao: KIDDING!! Daddy will help with the sawing. I asked Mikalah if she is excited about scooping out the guts and she said yes. I dont think she has ever seen pumpkin guts. :scared: Worst part about the whole thing.

OK, so let me take a moment to... fine, gloat! I'm gloating!

DH comes back from the doc this evening, and I asked, "So? What did the doc say?"

The doc said it's definitely AT LEAST Bronchitis (were these not my exact words???), and perhaps he's got walking pneumonia. HELLOOOOO!!! {that's the gloating part}

crampy? hmmm, that's not good. Keep a watch on that. <insert worried tsk tsking mothering image here>

:goodvibes

:thumbsup2 Its just from my ligaments stretching so fast. The sharp crampy pains when I... well.. do anything. Its not really anything to worry about, but still hurts like a mofo. Its the most fun when I try to stand up to fast. Pretty soon I am going to need one of those recliners that stands you up.. You know.. They make em for old people? :lmao:

I never really liked that part, but guess what? For the boys, it's the BEST PART!!! Who knew??? The gooier, more disgusting, the better it is! :confused3 :rotfl2:

Plus we call them "pumpkin guts". Big hit!!!

Oh. DH has declared the codeine or whatever they gave him for a cough suppressant "good stuff". :lmao:

Hello Hyenas,

I called in sick today. I was having coughing fits all last night and had the worst time falling asleep. I forced myself out of bed this morning and took my little sister to school and then went back home. I called my doctor's office and they said the doctor I had seen earlier this week was off today. I made an appointment to see another doctor. He gave me a prescription for different cough medicine. He also gave me a free inhaler and said I may have asthma. I don't think I have asthma and I have never had it before and do not have a history of it. I am not taking that inhaler (at least it was free).

I got a lot of rest this afternoon and slept a lot. My head was pounding earlier so I took my meds, an advil and went to sleep. I woke up feeling a lot better. My blood pressure was a little high on Wednesday but today it's back to normal (good sign). I hope I feel better by tomorrow. It sucks being couped up at home feeling like crap. :sad1:

I hate that part.. When i was growing up, it was the kids job. LUCKY ME. I was the only kid. It is now the kids job in our house.. We havent had Pumpkins since Mikalah was a baby.. So she doesnt know the grossness of pumpkin guts. Aelx does, and he hates it. He gets grossed out easily... Go figure. :lmao: Mikalah will probably love it.

YEP, it was usually the boys crowding around me when it came time to pull pumpkin guts in a preschool classroom.

We let them pull the guts out and left it in the sensory table for everyone to squish.

Put some in a plastic baggy for the "I'm not touching that" children.

The inhaler isnt just for asthma. It can help open your lung stuff so you can breath better. I got 2 when I had pneumonia, and one when I had bronchitis.
