The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Anyways, he thinks everything is about him and he assumed my e-mail was directed at him and it wasn't. I didn't even bother to defend myself because there is no point. :sad2:
People just amaze me with their unreasonable expectations in the office. Like everybody is supposed to drop everything and do what they want the instant they voice it! Where did this idea come from???

My sister works with a guy who is really whiney, he complains about personal stuff people have at their desk and tells the manager when he thinks they've done something wrong or "against" him. One person was sick and he complained that they were "coughing too much", and another one was having an intestinal issue, and he complained that they were going to the bathroom too often. Somebody had a postcard or poster or something of a motorcycle called FatBoy (???) and he demanded that they take it down because it was offensive. Why, you might ask? Apparently he took offense because he's gay and chubby. :confused3 :rotfl:

Shove your foot in his BUTT! It should replace that stick he seems to have stuck up there.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

He's ridiculous and I wish he would quit. If he dislikes me and my co-workers so much then he should seriously leave. I'm not sure what is stopping him except for maybe his Visa, which has not arrived (doesn't it take up to 10 years?). He creates a hostile work environment almost daily and that is not good for any of us.

My co-worker is somewhat quiet (who sits closest to me) and she said: "Just ignore him. Your e-mail was not mean at all!" She heard him say it was mean. :sad2:

The thing is, I do my work and so do the other sales employees in my department. We work and ignore him. Even though we ignore him he runs and says crap about us to the boss behind our backs. I don't understand it. You ignore him and he still says things. :headache:

EXACTLY! It happend more than once where he would expect me to drop everything to get him something. I was super busy one day and he asked me to type up a packing list for him. I dropped everything and rushed and typed one for him (I'm in charge of samples and no one else could do it at the time). I hand it to him and he goes: "I don't need this!" and I said: "Well then why did you write an e-mail asking me to type one for you?" and he made a mean face and mumbled something and grabbed it from off his desk and walked away.

You described him to a T except for the whole gay part. :rotfl: He's so mean to us and even disrespectful to the boss. He's also mean to another manager and this manager told me last week that he has not spoken to him directly in 4 months. He said if he needs something from him he will send an e-mail but other than that, he does not want him in his office and does not want to speak to him face to face.

Recently there was a meeting and he told the boss that we shouldn't be allowed to talk to each other. Even our supervisor said that we all do our work and sometimes we joke around or talk for a few minutes but we always get our work done. He doesn't like us to be happy and wants us to be miserable like him so he said we shouldn't be allowed to talk to each other. Ummm...how would that work exactly?? Would we need to learn morse code or write notes to each other like in jr high? :sad2:

Hand him a broom with the words.. here, go take a ride.

G'night

If he is that bad...Why doesnt he get fired?
I wondered that, too, about the guy in my sister's office. They had a string of new managers come through; it seemed just as the manager figured out that this guy was a crackpot, they were out and somebody even more clueless was brought in. She said one boss, I think their original one, kept telling people to not make waves with the guy, "just let it go", even though the boss agreed that his behavior was horrible and bad for morale. My sis thought maybe he had something on that boss, but she couldn't think what it could possibly be. :confused3

I think a lot of people are kept in jobs because the boss is lazy, doesn't want to have to deal with these kind of issues. :sad2:

I honestly don't know. I wish he would get fired. The thing is, he's smart and he's good at his job, I'll give him that. The problem is his poor attitude and he constantly is blaming others and doesn't find any fault within himself and his behavior. He told our boss that he's mean on purpose because it will make all of us "grow up faster." :headache: All it does is create a hostile work environment.

I was so sick of him talking crap about me behind my back, when all I do is ignore him and focus on my work. I talked to my supervisor privately and she said she used to be scared of him but not anymore. She just ignores him as well and that's all we can do. She said he will always be a mean and unhappy person and he is only happy when we are hurt or feel lousy by something he says or does. She said just don't show that you are angry and act happy and he will hate that.

Good night, Staley. :cloud9:

Little munchkin and I need to get to bed, too. Good night, G! :cloud9:
Good night, pix! :cloud9:

Hi guys....we got back Sunday on our little weekend thing but I was tired and didn't do much...Yesterday was a day at school with DD...fun, fun...

I didn't get to meet up with Shawna...I forgot to write down her number from my message box here...I did got to Pop and put up a few notes:rotfl2: but we are guessing she didn't see them, or that they were taken down...people were looking at us like we were crazy when we were sticking notes all over the place...and the guy at the bar...I think he thought I was drunk...I wasn't...so I got my hula hoop and went on my way...:thumbsup2

Our room was gross..food on the bed and a few other things...left on the sheets...I about died...DH went to the desk and had them move us...they did, this room was a little better...but I don't think it has seen a dust rag since it opened...and I am allergic to dust..so when I woke up my eyes were glued shut and my nose is still stuffy ... (Riverside)...so its back to the FQ, or Pop for me....(oh and they gave us a room credit..when they saw what was left behind:scared1:

Good Morning!

Well Ironman was super good! DH was especially in love with the cars in his workshop, or whatever you call it.:rotfl: Had a fit when one was crushed. (His favorite car of all time.) :lmao:

Anyways,

Alex, I think if your boys have seen "Transformers," then this movie would be fine for them. I just found out that my 4 year old grandson has seen "Ironman." He loved it!!

Well that is my food for thought today.

Oh also..................yes the cream cheese frosting is gooey. Megan was right......freeze, then cover. Or put them in a container where the lid doesn't touch the frosting.

Pix, this guy sounds like a real pain in the rear. :sad2: I don't blame you for not wanting to go back, and have to deal with the man. Sounds like he has some real issues, and he likes taking his miserable life out on you, and your fellow comrades. I wonder what would happen if you baked him some cookies, and wrote a note and told him to have a good day?? What do you think he would do? Would he be in shock? Do you think that anybody in his life has actually liked him? Let's get into his head............... I bet nobody has ever told him that they loved him. What say you? No wonder.............he sounds like a butt head. But I wonder about his parents? Or grandparents? :sad1: Are you feeling sorry for him yet?

Well despite all of this, I hope you have a good day!

Everyone else have a good day, and Megan take care too!

Hi Gina!

Welcome back? So besides the messy room, and fiasco.............did you have fun?:confused3

Good Morning Hyenas,

It's a little busy at work today but I was able to catch up on my e-mails. I have a couple of orders I need to process and some billing invoices to enter.

I just realized that I need to head back to DTD but I'm not sure when. I bought a hoodie and pants from WOD and they are way too baggie. The problem is that they got rid of their dressing rooms so you can't try things on. Next time I'll go to GCH and try on the clothes in the restroom. Then I can return them if it doesn't fit right and will save on gas and traffic time. :sad2:

That is hilarious that your DH looked on in horror as the Shelby Cobra in Ironman was crushed!:rotfl: I think I gasped when I saw that in the theatre. :lmao:

You guys should watch Tropic Thunder. Robert Downey Jr was awesome! :rotfl:

Oh and regarding that evil co-worker, he used to be really nice to us and then all of a sudden he turned into the biggest jerk. I don't know why but I feel bad for his wife and kids. I thought maybe he had personal problems but was told he doesn't have any. I gave up on trying to figure him out. He's just mean spirited and wants everyone to be unhappy. That's his problem and I will continue to ignore him.

Good Morning Sweet Peas! Hope everyone is having a super de dooper day today.:) :) :)

Weather here is kind of blah. Little sun, little rain, lots of clouds. Typical fall weather.

DD had a little crash and fell over during the races on Saturday. Nothing big, picked herself up and went on racing. She even raced again on Sunday. But her wrist was hurting. So yesterday I took her to the doctor to have it checked out. She has a slight fracture and this afternoon DH is taking her to the orthopedic surgeon to see what they recommend. Could be she will just have to wear the splint for a while, have a cast, need surgery (doubtful) or maybe nothing.:confused3 Anyway, we are preparing her for the fact that she may not be racing for a couple of months. You can just imagine how well that is going over.
