The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

Chocolate Cake?? I have everything to make it. Or... I dont know. cookies. fudge... brownies? Dang. I have to go bake. :sad2:

Hey I thought I'd let you guys know that Gina is very very sick.

I've written her a couple of PMs and finally heard from her. She has a really bad case of mono. Spent a day in the hospital, can hardly eat, and is super tired.

Keep her in your prayers.

I will say a prayer for her. I knew she had not been around for a while, but thought maybe she had some personal things going on. I'll PM her.

Alison, that is exactly the kind of aprons I'm making.

Go to www.anthropologie.com and type in "aprons." The last bridal shower I went to, I bought one for the bride, and she just oohed and awed over it, and so did everyone else. :goodvibes Who woud have thought? So I thought this year for Christmas I'm making some for my girls.

Awesome, those are so cool.:thumbsup2 Everything that's old is new again!

Drive by posting...gotta run. Need to go to both banks on my way home, so headed out early. Oh and I gotta go P before I leave. So I'm outta here!

Just thought you all would want to know. :lmao:

Alright ladies.. Who wants to speculate??? Boys?? Girls??? One of each? What do you think? popcorn::

Congrats to Christina :goodvibes
Hi Sarah!
Cute aprons Melody, retro looks are very "in" right now. Hence the 50's housewife apron thing and really cute jackets that remind me of the neat little suits worn in the early 60's. Hope hats come back too, I look cute in a hat ;)

mmmm cheese, I miss Tilamook brand. They don't carry it in MN. They had just started to carry it at Winco before we moved-- and it was always marked down. We would grab several packages each time at the store-- mmmm.

Baby guessing.. hmmmmmmmmmm, how about one of each. Equal and balanced family :thumbsup2

I see the guy makes tote bags in the same print as well as a sugar skulls print.

Would love to see either of those prints in something else... maybe a table cloth?

Kinda busy for a table cloth. Maybe a little purse, or wallet type thing.

Heck... Find me the fabric, and Ill make you one! For free!:lmao:

mental image popped up.. 50's housewife happily making drinks to serve to her guests.

I found a white ware 50's era punch and mug set that had "Tom and Jerry" printed on it in red and green and I think poinsettias .. it would have fit in perfectly with the apron. :rotfl2:

Oh and beacuse I know my hubby looked at me and asked why Tom and Jerry would be on a punch bowl with mugs.. it is the name of a hot drink typically served for Christmas -- my dad had a thing for them-- it was vile looking dairy based, (egg nog? ) hot and mixed with rum I think.
oh same one-- well crud.. I should have bought it at the thrift store-- :rolleyes1

:lmao: I wouldn't even know where to start-- I don't even know where any fabric stores are in the area.. excpet for a really nice quilting store that my sis loves to drool over for hours on end-- ugh!
There is only so much quilt fabirc a non sewer can handle. I love when she makes me stuff- few and far between these days. I don't know how to sew, so I walk the quilt store with her.. in hopes she decides to make more things.

cute!
I like the style of the second link - the blue and red pattern is darling!

are we totally pathetic to like aprons??

I KNOW!! I love that one! Its my favorite. CUTE! Couldnt you just see me and Mikalah wearing matching aprons. We would probably look like morons. :lmao: But cute morons!

Not sure where it is right now.. but when I worked in preschool I used an apron when I did paint activities. Never washed it-- I like to get messy with paint and had a ball helping the children explore how to use paint in various ways.

After awhile the apron was splattered in every color of the rainbow, when I pulled it out of the cabinet the kids would surround me like eager puppies , eyes all aglow in hope they would get first shot at painting. :rotfl:
