They had samples at the grocery store in the produce section. Caramel dipped apples-- it was two big slices in the sample cup. OMG it was so yummy!! I was tempted to run back and snarf up another.

But wouldn't buy one -- I can't bite into those sticky things, let alone bite into a big apple. Never could with braces on and now -- I just CAN'T!

On the shopping networks, they have the yummiest looking covered apples, covered in chocolate or caramel, with candies stuck all over, too. They always cut these slices off to show the outside and the inside, yum! And the first time I saw it I thought, "GEESH, why didn't I ever think to eat the apple by cutting it up???"

When i was a kid we always had red delicious. My mom would get those "schoolboy" sized ones (is that right? the little tiny ones) to put in our lunchbox. Oh, and I think she used the romas for baking.

I don't really care for red delicious, but I love fuji and honeycrisp and granny smiths. Yummmmm! We have all three right now, I think.

I hate those red delicious.. They are way to mealy. Ick.

My grandma had bought some, and sent one home for each of the kids.. i got piggy and made them share one, and I ate the other.

Thats the only way I CAN eat them! Otherwise... my teeth would still be stuck in the dang thing!

Good morning everybody! It feels like ages since I've chatted with you all. I have been taking different evening classes (dance, tennis, yoga) so I haven't been able to get on when you guys are on. I hope you're all doing well.

I have some exciting news!! Dh and I are getting engaged, I say engaged and not married because he hasn't officially asked me yet. We've been ring shopping for awhile and we've decided to make our own ring and this weekend we get to go to Glasgow to pick out the stones we want, I'm so excited. So once we get the ring made and after he asks and gives it to me I will show you pictures of the ring, did I mention I'm excited?

If I was only having one baby... I wanted it to be a surprise. But with 2, I HAVE to know. I dont know why. But I HAVE to.

My man lost the race, but I will still be praying for Obama and all of our leaders. They have, and always will need all the support we can give.

Today, I'm cutting out some aprons for my big girls. This is the going thing right now, believe it or not. I have the cutest fabrics all picked out. When I'm done, I will try and post pics. "Try" is the word.

Tell you mother that I have personally driven past their factory so I know they exist. Also, Tillamook Cheese purchased Bandon Cheese factory a year or two ago, so she can buy whichever is cheaper and they are the same cheese!

Hiya Melody, funny you should mention aprons. Just the other day we were in a store and my DD mentioned aprons and why don't they make those cool old timey aprons that cover all your clothes and sorta look like a dress? This coming from the girl that I've been fighting for several years on dressing appropriately.

Hey I thought I'd let you guys know that Gina is very very sick.

I've written her a couple of PMs and finally heard from her. She has a really bad case of mono. Spent a day in the hospital, can hardly eat, and is super tired.

Alison, that is exactly the kind of aprons I'm making.

Go to www.anthropologie.com and type in "aprons." The last bridal shower I went to, I bought one for the bride, and she just oohed and awed over it, and so did everyone else. Who woud have thought? So I thought this year for Christmas I'm making some for my girls.
