The Hyena Chat thread: Everyone's welcome!

K-12 shares busses in our town. We have 4 schools...K-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9-12. Three of the schools are on the same campus. The only school that is separate is the 4-6 which is about a couple of miles away. So all the busses go to that school first and they start about 20 minutes before the other schools.

Our school also has late start on Mondays. The teachers go in early on Mondays for additional training, but the kids don't start until about 9:30am or later. But they don't get out of school until about 3:15 each day, so they make up for the lost time by going later each day. On regular days they start around 8:15.

hmm, I watched the Talk Soup guy.. he had a clip showing Hef's presents

:scared:

Creative, very ummmm creative.

Chocolate molded from the girls.. ummm.. and ummm various other parts

Yeah, that was kind of interesting watching that. But then again what do you get a guy for his birthday that has everything? Of course I was watching them at the chocolatier thinking "is that sanitary"? I sure hope they didn't reuse some of that chocolate from the pans they were dipping it out of. I know they made molds first, then brushed the chocolate on the molds. But somehow I'm guessing those molds weren't very sanitary. Hopefully no one from the Health Dept. was watching that episode!:scared1: :rotfl2:

ewwwwwwwwwww
:lmao: :lmao:

I didn't see how it was made, just the finished product.. I guess.. what DO you get a guy that has everything??

Melody's suggesting of luxurious towels wouldn't work huh?

:rotfl2:

Fortunately for me, he and Daddy just went to bed. Uff! No more loud, off-key renditions of
"With a few good friends
And a stick or two
A house is built at a corner called Pooh
With a friend and a stick
Or three or four
A house is built where it wasn't before..." :lmao:

Speaking of sanitary, did you guys see that lady that was giving fish pedicures up near Seattle. The health department made her quit doing it, because they obviously can't sanitize the fish between pedicures. They use flesh eating tiny carp. EEEWWWW!

Mall of America just redid their movie theater... no olonger owned by AMC, it's owned by the mall management.

"Theatres of Mall of America"

They have plush seating, digital and 3D screens, will offer independent films.. and one theater is 21 and over only (VIP) .

why?

Because they serve wine with the popcorn topped with real butter.

One family brought their 2 small children to this film. There is a warning that it's NC-17 when we were buying our tickets. One of their kids got scared (this is a war film) and there was nudity (chesticles) :scared:

Yeah, I saw the the initial news reports weeks ago, and then the article in today's paper. It was a salon in Kent. The customers described it as "not exactly painful, just sort of uncomfortable." Hmmmm... that's pretty much how I describe a mammogram. :rotfl:

ewwww <<<shudder>>>>
That would creep em out, I don't even like swimming in a lake because the tiny fish nibble and swim round your ankles in the water.:scared:

:scared1: I saw that on TV and apparently it's popular in some parts of Asia. :scared1:

DH bought Iron Man today. We had a difference of opinions on whether it was appropriate for the kids to see it. DH said it was PG, but I was sure I'd seen a review indicating it was really too much for young kids. So we did not watch it yet...

Well they could have used a luxurious towel wrapped around Pamela Anderson!:lmao:

We have had several 21 & over cinemas around here also. Some have been brew pub's and we now have one called Cinetopia Vinetopia that serves wine. None of them seem to stay in business very long, but they've all been stand alone theaters instead of part of a larger cinema.

Maybe you and your DH could watch it when your DS's are asleep? :confused3

It would so creep me out too! I would rather have a mammogram every day than put my feet in the water with a bunch of dead flesh eating fish. :scared1:

I'd better get to bed ladies or I'm going to be dragging in the morning. Happy Dreams Girls!:cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

I have only a few photos from MHT. It was a lot more fun last year. :confused3 I think it was just busy but we still had some fun and got to go on the rides (except Toy Story). All of their candy lines were insane. We decided to go into the animation building to get candy. We also did singing in Ursula's Grotto. My older sis and I sang A Very Merry Unbirthday and I was the March Hare :lmao:

Oh and I finally met Jack Sparrow and took a pic with him. It was an awesome Jack Sparrow that sounded just like him and acted just like him. :thumbsup2

I also accidentally dropped a Stitch figuring in WOD. :scared: I quickly picked it up and brought it to a CM. I explained I accidentally dropped it and she was like: "No problem! Don't worry about it!" and was so nice. :flower3:

The ride home from MHT was terrible. Right when we got on the 5fwy, they had closed it off due to construction. They forced us onto the 91 fwy where there was traffic as well. Then they forced us off of the 91 fwy (also due to construction) and we went through surface streets for a bit. I followed all the signs that says FWY Detour and it took us to the 110, which led us to the 101 fwy which split to the 170 which turns back into the 5fwy. :faint: I got home at almost 2am.
