The Hot Fudge Terrorists and the Curse of the Drunken Punkin!!!New 04/24/14 pg 19

I've read your other TRs, but the title of this one totally drew me in before I looked underneath to see who wrote it! Can't wait to read along :)

Love this picture!! It was so gray and gloomy the whole time we were there (and crowded!) that I never got the picture I really wanted to get! Sorry BOG was a disappointment! I always hate when something loses its magic!

Thank you!

I am hoping our next stop there is much better!

Welcome!!!

After our not as magical dinner at Be Our Guest we decided we had time to hit up a couple more rides before heading over to Epcot for Illuminations.

Our first stop was here

Everything just looks better at night in Disney!

This has quickly become one of our must dos so we have to ride this whenever we are in MK!

Grandma even joined us!

My grandma is fully aware she is the sea witch. For those of you not aware of the history behind this I would play Little Mermaid in my grandma's pool and she would be the sea witch. Ever since then it has been an on going joke in the family.

The only problem is how much I'm going to miss her..

If they actually had him say that in the ride my mom would need a box of kleenex next to her!

We said goodbye to Ariel and the Beast

We decided we also needed to say good night to Rapunzel too...(a much better way of putting bathroom break)

We headed out to say goodbye to Cinderellla and were treated to the castle lighting ceremony!

Pictures do not do it justice

It honestly should be the 8th wonder of the world

I mean look at this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once we could pick our jaws off the ground we headed through the gift shops to the monorail

Everything is just so festive!

Once we got to Epcot we headed to the concert area

There were literally a ton of people lined up for Hanson! I have no idea why! People had on concert t shirts and as soon as they came on stage it was fan girl central!

I did the best I could with photos considering I had a Jammin Jamican in one hand a bunch of girls jumping up and down

After that was over... We only knew one song and while MMMBop was good it was really weird watching all of these girls freak out in the rain! Once it was over we hurried to our special seating for Illuminations and it did not disappoint! I had never had the chance to photograph this with a good camera before so be prepared for picture overload!

You can actually make out what's on the Earth!

I am very proud of how these turned out! I could have posted more but I decided on only the cream of the crop!

Love the colors in this one!

You can sort of see the lasers

I am officially in love with this camera!

OOOOOOOO

aaaaahhhhh

It was amazing and we had the best view! I definitely recommend trying for special seating if you have a chase card!

With all of that we headed out!

Good night Epcot!

Yay! An update! The castle lighting and Illuminations in one night. Nicely done. :thumbsup2

You got great pictures of Hanson. They really do have a ton of fans. All grown up they are pretty easy on the eyes! :rolleyes1:rotfl2:

Nice location for Illumination pictures! And very pretty pictures - the colors are so vibrant and I like that in some pictures you can really see the definition in the globe. Cool!

I've got to get to Disney world that same week. I want the best of both worlds!

Everything just looks better at night in Disney!

I disagree.
The sun doesn't.
Nor do the bright blue skies.

But the rest does.

This has quickly become one of our must dos so we have to ride this whenever we are in MK!

A lot of people seem to really have become enamoured with this ride.
Hopefully, I'll get my chance in the not too distant future...

Grandma even joined us!

My grandma is fully aware she is the sea witch. For those of you not aware of the history behind this I would play Little Mermaid in my grandma's pool and she would be the sea witch. Ever since then it has been an on going joke in the family.

I was aware of the story... but it still puts a smile on my face.

We decided we also needed to say good night to Rapunzel too...(a much better way of putting bathroom break)

How tactful of you!

We headed out to say goodbye to Cinderellla and were treated to the castle lighting ceremony!

Was that the very first lighting of the season?
Or just that night's lighting?

Either way.... wow.

It honestly should be the 8th wonder of the world

Nope.
I happen to be the eighth wonder of the world.
(Don't believe me? Ask my dog.)

It can be ninth, though.

I mean look at this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm looking!!!!!!!!!!!

Once we could pick our jaws off the ground we headed through the gift shops to the monorail

OMG! :scared1: You actually lost your jaws?!?!?
You poor things!
Were you terrified that you'd never be able to speak again?
Or smile?

You could still type, though... so at least we'd still have the TR.

There were literally a ton of people lined up for Hanson!

Literally?
2000 lbs of people?
Assuming aprx 100lbs/person... there were 20 people there?

So you must've got a good spot, right?

I have no idea why! People had on concert t shirts and as soon as they came on stage it was fan girl central!

:lmao: For some reason, that cracks me up.
"Fan girl central!"

I did the best I could with photos considering I had a Jammin Jamican in one hand a bunch of girls jumping up and down

Thank you... but no thank you.
I get enough estrogen at home.

1 wife
2 daughters
1 dog
2 guinea pigs

all girls.

After that was over... We only knew one song and while MMMBop was good it was really weird watching all of these girls freak out in the rain!

Too bad there's no video... might be entertaining.

Once it was over we hurried to our special seating for Illuminations and it did not disappoint! I had never had the chance to photograph this with a good camera before so be prepared for picture overload!

All your pictures are really great!
Some of the best I've seen on the DIS.

Great job! :thumbsup2

I am officially in love with this camera!

Oh? And yet you hardly use it.

:rolleyes1:

OOOOOOOO

aaaaahhhhh

:rotfl:

It was amazing and we had the best view! I definitely recommend trying for special seating if you have a chase card!

chase card?

As in Chase bank, I presume?

Good night Epcot!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes
Too bad you didn't have many pictures. :lmao:

I just wanted to complement you on your very nice pictures. You said this was your first chance to take pics with a nice camera I was curious what you were shooting with?

I've got to get to Disney world that same week. I want the best of both worlds!

We had great timing!

Thank you! They are very cute!

I am so glad I got some good pics!

You need to! I hope to go again at that time this year!

The pictures you took are amazing! Well done!:thumbsup2

Thank you!

Nothing better than the Christmas lights on the castle - so beautiful!!!

I agree!

Awesome pics! Great view wow!

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you!

I disagree.
The sun doesn't.
Nor do the bright blue skies.

But the rest does.

Touche!

A lot of people seem to really have become enamoured with this ride.
Hopefully, I'll get my chance in the not too distant future...

You better go soon!

I was aware of the story... but it still puts a smile on my face.

It's always a good story!

How tactful of you!

Thank you!

Was that the very first lighting of the season?
Or just that night's lighting?

Either way.... wow.
I think so! They had just begun Christmas when we got there.

Nope.
I happen to be the eighth wonder of the world.

Yeah just can't talk..

Literally?
2000 lbs of people?
Assuming aprx 100lbs/person... there were 20 people there?

So you must've got a good spot, right?

Oh geez...

:lmao: For some reason, that cracks me up.
"Fan girl central!"

It was nuts!

Thank you... but no thank you.
I get enough estrogen at home.

1 wife
2 daughters
1 dog

all girls.

Too bad there's no video... might be entertaining.

It wouldn't have turned out very well not enough lighting where we were.

All your pictures are really great!
Some of the best I've seen on the DIS.

Great job! :thumbsup2

Oh? And yet you hardly use it.

:rolleyes1:

:rotfl:

chase card?

As in Chase bank, I presume?

Yes or the Disney Visa.

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes
Too bad you didn't have many pictures. :lmao:

Thank you for reading!

I just wanted to complement you on your very nice pictures. You said this was your first chance to take pics with a nice camera I was curious what you were shooting with?

Sony Nex 5n we just got it within the past year or so and we rarely ever see Illuminations when we go.

This morning we woke up at POP Century and headed to the food court for breakfast!

Mom had her usual bounty platter

While I had a gluten free bagel, egg, bacon and cheese sandwich!

It was very good! I just hate how long it takes to get through counter service lines now that I am gluten free! You first have to wait for a chef then the chef has to go make your food. I think having an allergy has added about 15-20 minutes on to our wait at CS places.

After breakfast we headed out

And hopped a bus to DHS!

We had an easy morning having already fulfilled our TSM run with our FastpassPlus! Although at this point they were still passing out paper FastPasses so we ended up gettting a set of those as well.

With not much to do we just wandered around and enjoyed the sights.

I really wish they would have put the ride in here rather than the stage show!

We would be headed back here soon for lunch!

But for right now I decided to get my thrill ride on!

I love TOT! I do like the set up of the one in DCA better but this one is still good!

Next up I was reunited with RnR

Once I was done jamming with Aerosmith we continued our wandering

The not as amazing Carthay Circle

We really couldn't help but compare WDW to DL on this trip and probably every trip from now on!

We saw some new ears which we thought were adorable!

I considered picking up Ursula for my grandma!

We passed by the new outdoor bar at the Brown Derby

It was getting close to our FastPass time so we decided to pop in here before we headed over.

No trip is complete without a little Walt!

Then it was time to get our arm work out for the day!

They had added a new game for the line which we had never witnessed before

They also play a guess the character game on it.

Nothing like seeing Andy's Room! This Q beats DCA hands down!

This time I was the victor!

I also received best in vehicle!

Once our arms were suffieciently worn out we headed back to walk the park!

and ran in to a turned off Osbourne Spectalce of Lights!

We were both very excited to see these all turned on!

After that it was time for my moring coffee!

Some yummy looking snacks I can't enjoy

A hidden mickey

Other gifts you can find here

I began checking out the Star Wars book series because I have to read them before the new movie came out! Mom took a pic to show what a nerd I am

Once I had my fill of decent coffee... They need to turn that in to a Starbucks! We made our way around the hat

We had, had plans to ride the Great Movie Ride but it was packed! This new system makes the rides with no wait time E ticket rides! We noticed this issue a lot throughout the week!

We did run in to Pluto though!

And this guy

I had run off to do TOT again so Mom entertained herself by taking pictures and watching a show

She found the helper dog bathroom area to be quite amusing.

She also saw some can-canning Minnies

Then watched the streetmosphere actors create a radio show!

Mom and I met back up and we were both very hungry!

Next up we head to our lunch!

While I had a gluten free bagel, egg, bacon and cheese sandwich!

I always think of gluten free or no dairy or sugar free or .... whatever as not being as good.
But that looks pretty tasty.

It was very good! I just hate how long it takes to get through counter service lines now that I am gluten free! You first have to wait for a chef then the chef has to go make your food. I think having an allergy has added about 15-20 minutes on to our wait at CS places.

I never thought of that.
Of course you can't just grab something off the shelf and run.

I really wish they would have put the ride in here rather than the stage show!

You have no idea how long I was confused about that until I started seeing some DL TRs.

We would be headed back here soon for lunch!

Probably one of the highest things to do on my DHS 'must do' list.

The not as amazing Carthay Circle

:lmao:

We really couldn't help but compare WDW to DL on this trip and probably every trip from now on!

Occupational hazzard.
But somehow, I don't think you're complaining!

No trip is complete without a little Walt!

Is that the politically correct version of 'midget Walt'?

This time I was the victor!

Atta girl.

and ran in to a turned off Osbourne Spectalce of Lights!

Interesting.
I've seen so many pictures with the lights on, that you forget that they're still there in the daytime.

Some yummy looking snacks I can't enjoy

But I can.
Next time, grab everything and ship 'em up here, okay?

I began checking out the Star Wars book series because I have to read them before the new movie came out! Mom took a pic to show what a nerd I am

Is your hair longer?

We had, had plans to ride the Great Movie Ride but it was packed! This new system makes the rides with no wait time E ticket rides! We noticed this issue a lot throughout the week!

ugh

We did run in to Pluto though!

You did? You didn't hurt him, did you?
Or was it you that got hurt?

She found the helper dog bathroom area to be quite amusing.

 As do I!

She also saw some can-canning Minnies

Or would that be 'candy-caning'?

Next up we head to our lunch!

Prime Time always seems to be a hoot.
Can't wait!
Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Forgot if I mentioned that I had subscribed!

Also can't wait for you 50's prime-time update! one of my favorite restaurants (PB&J milkshake :lovestruc )

And I hope they don't turn Writer's stop into a starbucks! I would be devastated although I'd rather see that turned into a starbucks than Starring Rolls…They should just add starbucks without taking either out!

What a simply gorgeous day. :thumbsup2

Breakfast looks delish! That gluten free bagel sandwich looks super yummy. Too bad it took so much extra time.

Yay for two rides on ToT, and a ride on RnR and TSM. You are very productive this morning!

So Dawn - you found the dog spot in HS. :lmao: It looks just like the one in Epcot. :lmao:

I always think of gluten free or no dairy or sugar free or .... whatever as not being as good.
But that looks pretty tasty.

Gluten free doesn't taste bad it just isn't as filling as gluteny stuff.

I never thought of that.
Of course you can't just grab something off the shelf and run.

I wish I could!

You have no idea how long I was confused about that until I started seeing some DL TRs.

Probably one of the highest things to do on my DHS 'must do' list.

You would love it!

:lmao:

Atta girl.

Thank you!

Interesting.
I've seen so many pictures with the lights on, that you forget that they're still there in the daytime.

It's so weird seeing them during the day especially when we don't usually go at that time of the year!

But I can.
Next time, grab everything and ship 'em up here, okay?

Deal!

Is your hair longer?
In that picture I was in need of a haircut so yes!

ugh

You did? You didn't hurt him, did you?
Or was it you that got hurt?

No I took him down and he was okay.

 As do I!

Or would that be 'candy-caning'?

I love that milkshake!

I agree! The coffee there is not good!

What a simply gorgeous day. :thumbsup2

We were very lucky with the weather on our trip!

Breakfast looks delish! That gluten free bagel sandwich looks super yummy. Too bad it took so much extra time.

It was very good!

Yay for two rides on ToT, and a ride on RnR and TSM. You are very productive this morning!

The park was empty!

So Dawn - you found the dog spot in HS. :lmao: It looks just like the one in Epcot. :lmao:

We will have to look for it on our next trip!

I will always compare WDW to DL and HS to CA now! HS definitely feels lesser even though it's my second favorite park. It feels so similar yet so different than CA. I hope they add something as equally as awesome as Carsland to pep it up. It has my 3 favorite rides, but there just needs to be more.
