The horse girl, her big guy and WDW..a trip report! Update 8/4-Day 10, pg 26!

I just came across your TR and I am enjoying it. The pictures of the food at Ohana's makes me want to get back there fast. My husband is in the Navy too. We never knew about getting moved to First Class. He only shows his DL on personal travel not his military ID. We will have to try it next time. There always seems to be first class seats available when we fly too.

Chewing tobacco :scared:

I was chosen for that last trip, I got soaked :rotfl2:

I know the chewing habit is bad but honestly.. I would rather have that then smoking. He doesn't smell like smoke and neither does our house. Plus it's cheaper!!

I'm finally caught up and it sounds like you're having a lot of fun so far! I really want to try dinner at Ohana sometime. I tried for our trip in September, but the only opening they had was 9pm and my kids won't wait that long to eat!

Looking forward to reading more!
Denise

My DH is a little jealous that I will eat there in Sept. again and he has to wait until next August!!

DH always used his Navy ID for everything. Next time you fly give it a try. When I bought the tickets online the first time they asked if anyone was military. When we got to the gate they just wanted to know if he would have a "seabag." Obviously the employee last year didn't want to spread the love like Pedro did!! :wizard:

I am finally all caught up.

I am really enjoying your TR and I cannot wait to read more! Thanks so much for sharing!:goodvibes

Day 2, part 2

I left off with looking at scary stains on our pants. After that delightful incident we headed over to get another FP for TOT. The FP time was over 3 hours away!! At this point we headed back to the other side of the park so we could do Star Tours and little stuff along the way. We knew we were going to have to brave the line for ST since we already had the FP for TOT (which I would rather have since the standby line was 90 min long!!) The wait for ST was 40 min. Eek. But we braved it and it ended up being about 25. Which I noticed last year and this year...waits are never what they say. I think they give you worse-case scenario. But speaking of Star Tours….you are probably dieing to know if we were going to get pics with Jedi Mickey and Darth. ;) The answer to that is heck no!! The line for these guys was extremely long and full of whiny kids. No thanks. We realize we will have to endure this torture when we have kids of our own someday but for now we easily passed them by. It would have been cool though.

Back to ST!

048.jpg

It’s a fun ride but way too short. I think the “droid” that pilots your ship sounds a heck of a lot like Paul Ruebens (aka Pee Wee Herman) I’m sure it’s not him but there is a resemblance!! There was a little girl about 4 yo. in front of us in line melting down. I applauded the parents b/c they just ignored her and talked amongst themselves. It was nice!! Eventually she stopped. The dad said she has been high maintenance since the arrived the day before. After ST we headed over to One Man’s Dream. I had missed this last year and wanted to see it. The movie was really good…I like how Walt narrates almost the whole thing. It brought a tear to my eye but I didn’t let DH know. Very sad. Somehow I wish Walt could have lived forever. :sad1: Ok..enough sappiness…

Last year we had also missed the Beauty and the Beast show. I told DH I wanted to catch it this year. He didn’t look exactly thrilled but we went. I think we made the show by 5 minutes. And since we are kidless we had no problems with sitting in the back so we could be the first to exit. We did this on almost all the theater attractions. DH decided it was a good time to take a nap.

051.jpg

Halfway through the storm thunder was booming and it started down pouring. I figured it was a blessing in disguise that we were under the tent. It actually stopped while we exiting. Nice. The show was cute. We probably won’t see it again unless we have kids but it’s a good place to take DH for a 30 minute nap. I have to say that Belle sounded a lot like the original Belle which I thought was cool.

049.jpg

The heat started to get to us so we got a little crabby. DH and I hate rude people…it bugs the crap out of us. Kids and adults. But more so adults. We stopped in some shops along Sunset and were bowled over by numerous kids. One kid tried to push past me. No "excuse me" or anything. So I stood firm and forced him to go another way. Very rude kid. DH told me he was bowled over by him as well and had elbowed him in the head. Oops!!! ;) All the kid had to say was excuse me but nope, never occurred to him. We had tons of adults cutting us off as well. For a split second I always give these people the benefit of the doubt..thinking maybe they are distracted or something. But no..most of them are plain old rude. Ugh. I know it’s Disney and that means tons of people but how hard is it to say excuse me?? Don’t even get me started on those Heelies either. :headache:

Ok..stepping off my soapbox now. After Walt’s Dream we went back for our FP for TOT. This time we had the front row where there is an “Oh %&^” bar. It was too far out for me to reach without feeling like an idiot so I just held DH’s arm again. What is up with that??? I don’t mean too..it just happens. I swear that on our half day back to MGM this week I will not hold his arm!!!

By the time that ride was over we figured we would head over to H & V.

View from H & V
047.jpg

We were going to be about 30 min early but we had great luck last year with showing up early. We were usually seated within 10 min. Not this time. The hostess said we wouldn’t be seated until 5:30 and suggested we walk around a bit. Well it looked like rain again so we said we were going to wait. And wait we did. I think it was 5:35 when we were called..which I have no problems with. It was our ADR time after all. But I was glad we did decide to wait b/c it started down pouring again!

We were seated and let me indulge you in one of my OCD’s complaints. I hate crooked tables/chairs. You know..the ones that rock off balance. By golly they irritate me. Sometimes it gets so bad I put napkins under them to balance them again. Well our lovely H & V table was lopsided. Maybe it was an omen?? DH propped it with his foot and we made due. Grr. I had this problem with a chair at TSPP earlier but easily changed it out. Conflict avoided. Anyway…we were told our server Brenda would be right over. She was alright. She attended to what we needed but was not overly friendly. I guess we just got lucky last year b/c every server we had was great. Brenda..eh, just so-so. We went up to the buffet and I was a bit disappointed. There were a ton of dishes I would not eat b/c of the lovely IBS I have. I started with some sort of sunflower roll, green beans, salad, garlic mashed potatoes and some prime rib. I was glad to see the prime rib b/c that’s DH’s favorite food. I was also leery of the mashed potatoes b/c of the garlic. Garlic and I do not go well together…my mother never used it growing up so my stomach hates it. Same with salt. But I loved mashed potatoes so I braved through it. Everything was pretty good but the rolls were very tough.

052.jpg

On my second trip I got some kind of seasoned mussels and more beans. I tried some kind of cornmeal/tomato basil stuff. Not good. I love cornbread but this was yucky. The mussels were also cold. Eww. I love seafood but cold seafood…not thanks. I honestly don’t think they were supposed to be cold….gross. :crazy2: But did I stop eating?? Nope. Kept going back for more beans and salad. Now I know better with my stomach then to push it. When I’m full I need to learn to stop eating. But 1) I hate wasting food..if it’s on my plate I want to eat it and 2) it’s free so that means eat right? Um no it doesn’t but I won’t realize that until later. For dessert I got some kind of angel food cake, a small bowl of ice cream, rice krispie treat and apple cobbler. DH had mini-cheesecakes. All the desserts were good and we called it a dinner.

5 minutes later I got the most horrible stomach cramp. I don’t get PMS cramps so any cramp will double me over. This was horrendous!!! I had to find a bathroom ASAP. I won’t go into much detail but I felt like I was going to have a baby in the bathroom stall..it hurt extremely bad!! Granted, I have not given birth but I can imagine contractions feel similar. So needless to say H & V and my stomach did not play nice. I knew it was b/c I had stuffed it too full. My diet on an average day consists of cereal for bfast, yogurt, chips and a piece of fruit for lunch, a reg. dinner and maybe a low fat snack before bed. I think it was reminding me that I was not sticking to my diet.

30m. later I met DH and said I thought I was ok to go to Fantasmic. We had the preferred seating pass and I didn’t want to miss out. It was only 7pm at this point but I would rather sit for 2 hours then kill time walking around. So we went to check-in but the CM said she wasn’t letting people in until 7:30. So we sat on the wall and waited. DH wanted to go..said I wouldn’t enjoy Fantasmic in this state. He was probably right. But like my problem with wasting food I didn’t want to waste that ticket!! So we waited some more. I honestly did want to go but was too scared to board a bus!! What if I had to go? Do they pull over and have me drop my drawers in the bushes?? Finally I thought I could brave the bus and we headed out. There was only one other day on our itinerary that we could do Fantasmic again and it was Sunday, the MK day. I could easily switch that day and Thurs, our other MGM day. So we trudged home with me kicking myself for being a pig But I do think the food was just terrible overall so that had something to do with it!

Let me just say that no sooner had the bus dropped us off I told DH I had to get to the room NOW!! After episode #2 I went right to bed. It was 8:30. Fine with me. I set my alarm for 6:15 and was rearing to go again.

Up next...back at MK finally!! :cloud9:

I think the “droid” that pilots your ship sounds a heck of a lot like Paul Ruebens (aka Pee Wee Herman) I’m sure it’s not him but there is a resemblance!!

oh my gosh.....he does! creepy!!!!

:sad1:

we missed this in may. i can't wait to do it in september! sounds like a very special experience.....i'd get sappy too!!!

Last year we had also missed the Beauty and the Beast show. I told DH I wanted to catch it this year. He didn’t look exactly thrilled but we went.

Halfway through the storm thunder was booming and it started down pouring.

I have to say that Belle sounded a lot like the original Belle which I thought was cool.

i LOVE this show! my ray didn't look exactly thrilled about going to this show, either, but he ended up liking it. it started raining during our show too....thank goodness the seating is covered! and our belle sounded so much like the movie belle....it was amazing! such talented performers!!!

One kid tried to push past me. No "excuse me" or anything. So I stood firm and forced him to go another way. Very rude kid.

Don’t even get me started on those Heelies either. :headache:

you don't know how often i do this, too. and not just at disney, but if i'm at the mall or wherever and this happens, i just stand there and let them bump into me. and then if they don't say anything and just keep going, i turn around and say, "the words are 'excuse me'!" i'm really not a mean person...but i just don't understand why people don't use their manners!!! and amen on the heelies!!!!!

about your H & V experience, i feel your pain! you sound just like me when my IBS is flaring up. have you ever noticed that yours tends to flare up with any buffet? mine ALWAYS acts up after a buffet. i wonder if they put something in the food to preserve it under the buffet lights or something that doesn't agree with me? anyway, sorry you missed fantasmic. i hope you guys get to see it later in the trip!

So sorry about your tummy hope it felt better really quick. I so agree about rude people, DH and I walk lots and if we come across people coming in the opposite direction we'll automatically go one behind the other but the amount of people that just don't move and come at you side by side is ridiculous :confused3 BTW I won't be leeting my DD's wear their heelies in WDW :)

DH and I do not drink coffee. Can you believe that we made it into our early 30’s without a coffee addiction?? It’s true. I just get up and go every morning. Even on a work day. DH will drink coffee at work if it’s there but we don’t buy it or make it ourselves. I am trying to break him of his chewing tobacco habit so maybe a coffee one will have to replace it?!
No coffee here either! If I really need a pick me up, I will drink a pepsi or other similar type drink in the am though:upsidedow Dh will drink it at work or someplace if it is there, but we dont even have a coffeemaker at home!

After TOT we saw a PhotoPass guy..something we said we were going to try this year. We didn’t know about it last year and the only pic we have together is the HDDR one where I look retched. He made us do some “honeymoon” poses with my ring hand on DH’s chest. Oh boy. I felt silly. We just aren’t a lovey-dovey couple. We are sarcastic and goofy. I don't have these pics yet...I didn't realize they don't offer 4x6's and they sure are $$! I don't want the whole CD b/c there are only 6 pictures I want. So I have no idea what I am going to do yet. :confused3
We are also not lovey dovey AT ALL. But, we did take full advantage of the photopass guy. We had over 150 pics on ours so I bought the Cd. I plan to use it next trip too. Especially because we can put all our pics on one (as in myself, and my sisters)and split the cost of buying it at the end of the trip/when we get home ;) I hear they are enabling the photopass to hold some of the ride pics now too!

We headed over to Toy Story Pizza Planet.
I know there are also a bunch of people out there that don’t care for this place either. WE LOVE IT!!!
I love that place too-even the one at DL. We go every time!

It takes you through the “prop dept” with tons of stuff from movies. I always get so angry b/c I want to stop and look at these but I feel pressured to keep moving by the cattle behind me. So I never do. Life’s short..I really should take the time. Oh well. The ride was uneventful….just a nice break.
I want to stay and look at that stuff too. Lets make a pact to just do it next time, ok?

Last year we had also missed the Beauty and the Beast show. I told DH I wanted to catch it this year. He didn’t look exactly thrilled but we went. I think we made the show by 5 minutes. And since we are kidless we had no problems with sitting in the back so we could be the first to exit. We did this on almost all the theater attractions. DH decided it was a good time to take a nap.
I love that show actually, didnt think I would. Helps that DD loves all the princesses I guess. I love all things that invlove singing and dancing though too.

But no..most of them are plain old rude. Ugh. I know it’s Disney and that means tons of people but how hard is it to say excuse me??
Dont get me started either. I worked at Sea World for over 10yrs. So I have been in way too many crowds, RUDE crowds. I cant believe the lack of manners people have these days! Kids I can sort of understand I guess, especially when their parents are just as bad!

We were seated and let me indulge you in one of my OCD’s complaints. I hate crooked tables/chairs. You know..the ones that rock off balance. By golly they irritate me. Sometimes it gets so bad I put napkins under them to balance them again.
OMG! me too!! We are gonna be a bunch of fun together, huh?! Especially once my pregnancy hormones kick in :rotfl: Lord help the waitress who has to deal with me if I get a wobbly table :lmao:

I feel for you on the IBS. My BFF has IBS as well and she had the SAME problem with H and V. I felt so bad for her after that meal. She couldn't even wait in any lines because she was worried she would have to run to the bathroom.

I agree about rude kids...that drives me nuts! Hopefully I won't have rude kids that drive other people crazy!

I have to say that I had the same horrible experience after eating at H & Vine. My husband and I agree that we will never again waste our time in that restaurant. The food that should have been hot was cold and vice versa. And we also had a not too friendly waitress.

Little did you know what was coming up next :rolleyes1

How many OP (oblivious people) did you see or run into? We sae one family who stood abreast at the top of the steps to Jungle Cruise and no one could go down or up cause of them. I mean duh! At AK, a kid cut me off ...I mean totally jumped in line ahead of me and a nice CM went right over to them to have a little "talk" with them. I found the apple didnt fall far from the tree!

Ok..stepping off my soapbox now. After Walt’s Dream we went back for our FP for TOT. This time we had the front row where there is an “Oh %&^” bar. punkin413;19618935 you don't know how often i do this said:
Yeah I hate those heelies...I can't tell you how many times I get run into at the zoo or museum by kids that can't stop!!

My IBS does flare up at buffets but not Cape May Cafe. :confused3 It honestly must be the quality of food too! CMC is really good and I even overeat there! I used to take an RX for it years ago but it didn't do any good so I gave up on it.

It seems like common sense when it comes to being in public and being courteous but some people just don't get it! Or they think the world revolves around them and their kids!! :headache:
Glad you are keeping the Heelies at home!!

No coffee here either! If I really need a pick me up, I will drink a pepsi or other similar type drink in the am though:upsidedow Dh will drink it at work or someplace if it is there, but we dont even have a coffeemaker at home!

Sounds good! We will walk slowly through Backlot Express so we can see it. I don't care if we miss part of the water show in the beg!

We only have a 4 cup coffeemaker b/c the last owner left it for us!! :rotfl:

I can't believe you have so many pics!! I think I had 25 or so. A lot of them look exactly the same since the take them back to back. I think I am just going to get 2-3. I wish they had 4x6's!!! :headache:

I feel for you on the IBS. My BFF has IBS as well and she had the SAME problem with H and V. I felt so bad for her after that meal. She couldn't even wait in any lines because she was worried she would have to run to the bathroom.

I had read that H & V stunk but we had such great luck last time with excellent food (and no IBS flare-ups!! :thumbsup2 ) we were a little too optimistic!!

I have a firend who actually found out she is allergic to what those buffet places use to wash the dishes in...some sort of detergent. She used to get sick all the time, very much like IBS symptoms and she thought that is what she had, and they narrowed it down to detergent. Dennys does it to her too, same detergent! Weird.

We totally tracked all the photopass people down on purpose. Plus we did all the character stuff, so they are there too.

OH, and we did H&V for a lunch thing and it was really good!! Maybe we just got lucky:confused3

Great update!:) I haven't tried Toy Story Pizza Planet but it did smell really good when we went to Muppets 3-D. I might have to try it next time. I am sorry about your stomach troubles. There are a couple of places that I can't eat at because I don't want any "episodes". We avoided Jedi Mickey because of the lines also. He is cute, but it just wasn't worth it to us.

Did they have a good selection at lunch time?? I was amazed at the poor selection of food!

Update!

For those of you interested I added a pic of the food at H & V...I didn't realize I had it until I got my pics developed today!! It actually looks good but don't be deceived!!! :lmao:

Good to see another installment...My mom has IBS, too, and my Dad had some of his intestines removed when his appendix ruptured so when he has to go...

MGM was my favorite park this trip. I love Beauty and the Beast...it's in my next installment...

Oh, I totally agree on the rude people. I don't know how many times people cut in front of me and I had to swerve to miss them or people that weren't paying attention and ran into me...

I'll be on the look out for your next chapter

I will complain more as the TR goes on about rude people! I try to ignore them since I'm at the "Happiest Place on Earth" but when it's hot and I'm tired it wears on me!!

I will have the next installment up tomorrow! I thought Friday was my last day of work for the summer but my boss needs me today and maybe tomorrow. No complaints here....money is nice! :wizard:

Day 3, part 1

6:15 came and I felt 100% back to normal. I figured I would shower and write some TR notes….then wake DH around 7. It was MK day and I wanted to be there again for rope drop. Around 7:55 we were out the door and I wanted to get a quick snack near the lobby somewhere. It’s like a 10 min. walk from the Ranchos but I didn’t mind. We stopped at concierge and picked up our Spirit of Aloha tickets and I mailed some postcards. Last year I mailed some in the beginning of our trip and we beat them home. It took like 9 business days for these postcards to get to NY. Hmm. :confused3 So this year they all went out on day 2.

We headed over to Pepper Market.

We almost stopped at a corner store to just grab a muffin but DH wanted an omelet. OK with the commando wife. We walked in and the hostess couldn’t find anyone to seat us so she pointed to a table, handed us our napkins/silverware and told us to sit down. Okey dokey. I wanted to eat light b/c I was scared from last night. I normally do not have a problem with breakfast unless I eat sausage or something but you never know. So I decided on the oatmeal and fruit cup. DH went for that omelet. I liked the atmosphere of the Pepper Market but it took quite awhile to find the oatmeal. I walked by it like 3 times. Just not marked well. Very confusing at this little market! You also have to have a card stamped when you select an item so they know what to charge you at the end.

We got back to our table and Caro (at least that is what the receipt says) asked what we wanted to drink. OJ for me and coke for DH. She was nice but let me tell you that places like this throw me for a loop. The card says that sales tax and a 10% service charge will be charged at the register. Um what does that mean? :confused3 No tip? Not that I would tip her for the food but we normally would tip for the drinks. I said to just tip 8% since she is probably getting that 10%??? Maybe I am really off base. Either way the drinks came to $5.50 or so and we tipped $2. Another confusing part of this establishment. The bill came to $26 with that tip. Eek!! So much for a quick muffin. Remember we aren't on the DDP until Wednesday! I don’t think we will stay at CSR again b/c of the DVC but if we did we would not head here again.

So by 8:30 exactly we were off to the bus stop for MK.

0182.jpg

As usual, just as we were walking up to the bus stop we saw the MK bus drive on past. Now yesterday, as you remember, the MGM buses were 10 min. apart so we hoped the MK ones were too. We lingered at the bus stop for a whole TWO MINUTES and another bus pulled in. In fact, that made two MK’s buses in a row…I thought we would have to cycle through all the other parks before MK came back. Nope. Must be our lucky day.

When we arrived we once again participated in the daily cattle roundup and headed to the turnstiles. We made it just as morning show started..something we had missed last year.

It was cute but I remember reading on another TR that the lady in the pink dress would have an annoying voice. Did she ever!!! The characters coming off the train were cute though. Finally they let us in and we were back on Main Street after almost a year!! DH was already enjoying the air conditioning coming from the shops while I thought it was cold!! We headed to Adventure Land, like we had done first last year.

Grabbed a FP for Jungle Cruise (DH did not think this was necessary..remember this part) & the return time was for 9:40..it was 9:10. I told him by the time we rode Pirates once or twice and then went potty it would be 9:40ish. He still didn’t think we would need it. I told him better safe then sorry and it’s not like we had to get another between then. So we rode Pirates with just a few minutes wait….managed to get the front seat the first time around. Nice! I just love Pirates…'nuff said. We circled around and rode it again. Then a bathroom break and lo and behold it was 9:40!!!! We headed back over to the Jungle Cruise and saw about 30 kids from some sort of team in the line outside..making the wait about 20 min. Hmm. No FP DH?? Chalk another one up for the DW. :thumbsup2 No one was standing by the fast pass line…in fact it was roped off. I think we were the first lunatics of the day with a FP for the cheesy JC. Finally a CM came over and said he was sorry..he didn’t realize the FP window time had started. So we headed to our boat . I was looking for the girl from American Idol that is rumored to be a captain. We didn’t have her. But I will tell you what..I got a little panicky when we got on and she commented about our pins. Good God don’t heckle us please!! I hate being heckled. So we said the usual thank you but nothing else..hoping she would get the hint and she did. Phew. I know it sounds like I am a party pooper but being heckled on the JC? No thanks. The ride was a cheesy as ever so I don’t think I need to go into it. But it’s Disney so I love it.

At this point we figured we better ride either SM or BTMR and get a FP for the other. We decided on riding SM and doing the FP for BTMR….the standby wait for SM was only 15 minutes. So we did just that.

0033.jpg

I really like SM…I have a Disneyland Soundtrack that I have been listening to for the last few months so I was excited to hear the music again. We didn’t get too wet….but here’s the mystery. I did not notice any stains on my pants before SM. (not counting the alien stains hidden in the fabric thanks to the black lights at RNRC :rotfl: ) I remember getting splashed lightly on SM’s first hilll and noticing the water was near my pant's zipper area. Hmm. After the ride I saw light brown stains in that area. I had on cotton/polyester pants so they dried quick. Anyway, were these brown stains from gross water?? DH says no..I got them someone else. I think I got them on SM. We’ll never know…but will that Tide pen work?? Find out later.

At this point I started dwelling on the episode with my stomach from the night before. I was nervous about our Artist Point ADR b/c I think the food would kill me. Any type of meat, not cooked at my house, has the potential to bother me. I can’t explain it..I just know this. I also needed to change our Trails End ADR so we could see Fantasmic that night and give up the Electric Water Pageant. We decided to take the train all the way back to city hall (remember it circles around the park first) and try to change some ADRs. DH suggested trying to get Ohanas for Friday night instead..it’s our fav. TS of course and we ate there twice last trip. He just assumed I would have had us eating there twice again. He was wrong…I really thought he would enjoy AP so that’s why I scheduled it. Not thinking that I might not be able to eat there. Anyway, I told him there was no way Ohanas would be avail. But we could try.

After the train ride we were finally back at City Hall. The line was out the door. Lovely. At this point I didn’t realize it was a free call on on the pay phones to Disney Dining. I would have rather called them myself and not stood in line. But we didn’t know that..yet. We got up to the CM and tried to get Ohanas with no luck. I figured as much. So we at least switched Trails End to an earlier time so we could do MGM Sunday, break for dinner, and then head back for Fantasmic. But as we were leaving I really wanted to find something else instead of AP. We walked around a bit and talked about it and finally decided that I would call twice a day to see if anything opened up for Ohanas on Friday.

We got back on the train and the CM remembered us. He gave us these nifty train tickets signed by Mickey. Not original signatures though.

When he saw us he worked it up like he was going to present us with something awesome but no. Just a sovenier. Speaking of winning….I had not seen the Dream Team yet. I wondered where they were..they certainly weren’t looking for some honeymooners to grant wishes on. We got off the train at Frontierland and I contemplated getting a Dole Whip. But I wasn’t hungry so I figured I could always get it on Thurs, the new MK ½ day, using a snack credit. By this time our FPs were ready for BTMR.

I love this ride!!! It seemed longer this trip then last time! After that we wandered through some shops and then headed over to Pecos Bill for lunch

060.jpg

but not before sneaking over to Fantasyland to get Fps for Peter Pan. It was about noon and the line was huge!! I think the standby time was over 60 min!!! I don’t get why people wait in lines more the 40 min when they could get a FP. It will always behoove me. Anyway, we headed over to Pecos Bill’s and met another long line. I expected it though since it was noon. I considered getting a table while DH got the food but realized he would never find me. There was that much seating!! We don’t bring cell phones in the parks so I just waited in line with him. We both got the chicken wraps and drinks. They were very good but HUGE!!

059.jpg

Once again I had a problem throwing 1/3 of it away. Delicious though!!!! :thumbsup2 If two people have small appetites I bet you would be fine with splitting one.

After letting our food settle we headed over to the Riverboat. I wasn’t sick full but I just wanted to relax for a bit before having to walk around more. This was closed last time we were here so I thought it was fun! I wish they had more seats though since the ride is 15 minutes long and we had to stand. Oh well.

Some pics from the ride...

The next stop on our list was The Hall of Presidents. DH thought he would be getting a nice nap!! I enjoy this one but am always afraid people will boo when George does his little speech. Luckily, the both times we have gone , people only clapped.

We did some more shopping..stopped in the Christmas Shop near Liberty Tree Tavern and bought some Disney Xmas cards. I had already bought my cards for this year on clearance last year but who doesn’t need Disney cards as well? I had them sent back to the hotel.

Ok…let me tell you what I witnessed next. A family was searching through the sea of strollers and I just assumed they were looking for theirs. Nope. They were looking for one to steal!!! :scared1: The mom kept saying, “No, not that one..it has stuff in it. Yeah, grab that one. It’s empty. Quick..no one is coming.” Can you believe it? I would be pissed if I came out and my stroller was gone. What cheap sakes!! DH and I found this super irritating..the 2nd most shocking thing of the trip. (stay tuned for our 9th day and shocker #1!!)

We walked under the Columbia Harbor House bridge thing into FantasyLand to use our FP’s on Peter Pan. This is a cute ride but somehow I forgot from last August what our reaction would be at the end. It went something like this, “That’s it?” Hmm. I know to kids it’s a great ride but not to us. We feel the same way with Pooh and Snow White. Definitely cute and well done but not something we will go on again until we have kids. Then we will be on it enough to last a lifetime!! ;)

Let me mention now that I was having tons of trouble finding a sovenier that suited me. We had $275 in gift money and had spent a nice chunk of it on other people!! (but will not spend a dime on SIL or bratty niece..last time we bought her gifts she threw them, then snubbed us. And no thank you card on her behalf from SIL. So we are done with her until she gets older) But onward…last year I bought these two moving cups. You know what I mean…the ones that have the grainy surface and move as you turn them??? I have no idea what they are called. Well I was on a mission to find more. They had them in Snow White and Tinkerbelle ones but I wanted ride/park ones. Last year I got Splash Mt. and MK. I found a Pirates one and bought that but no luck on anything else. The search continues.

Next up...dinner at LTT!!

Those chicken wraps are HUGE!!!! I'm glad you posted that pic...I'll know to share one with someone.

I can't believe those people were stealing a stroller. If you can afford a trip to Disney World, you can probably afford a stroller!

Great installment!
