Could these sleep 5? I checked online and they said 4 and 1 child in a crib?? :confused3

I love Disney mail! You would be great as a Disney vacation planner.:thumbsup2 What a fun job that would be!:yay:

They sleep 6 with 1 in a crib. We had 6 of us and were comfortable.

Good to know! I just found a thread with pics and didn't know the chair pulled out. They turn out to be a little cheaper then getting 2 sep. rooms. Thanks for the info!! :thumbsup2

She has never been to WDW before and wants me to find a hotel for her that can sleep 5.
We are a family of 5 and stayed at POR in the Alligator Bayou section last year. It is the cheapest option for a family of 5 and POR is beautiful. It has a boat to DTD, water craft rental, carriage rides, fishing hole, TS & CS restaurants, about 5 pools and you can use the pool at POFQ. With kids at your friends' young ages, I think this would be a great hotel.

We also considered ASMu suites because you get 2 bathrooms! That's a bonus with 2 teenage girls but I would have to give up POR (sigh) and I'm not willing to make the trade plus the suites are $30ish more per night.

Tara....I just have three letters for you...TGM! Do it!!! There's lots of info over there that you would love for planning! :thumbsup2

I have to second this vote for POR! What a value for this awesome resort. In fact I love the Bayou section so much I request it even when we don't need the trundle bed. It's where we are staying in June for my Mom's bday trip! When you are at SSR in June you could always hop on the POR boat at DD to check it out for yourself :thumbsup2

Another option might be 2 rooms at a value, in which I'd vote for Pop over the All Stars.

Hey there! Thanks for the POR tip..I sent my friends pics of each hotel and as of now she is going for a family suite at ASM. It actually turned out to be a few dollars cheaper then getting two rooms there. She loved POR herself but thought the kids would like ASM better! :goodvibes

I received my Disney Visa in the mail today! (nope, can't post a pic of that one here! :lmao: ) We plan to use it for our reg. bills so we can rack up the Disney Dollars. My first two purchases were tickets for our vacation!! :woohoo: I get $100 off an AP with the DVC membership so I got that for June and Sept. Then I ordered DH his 7 day pass from Undercover Tourist. It was $11 more then if we got our tickets that first night at Shades of Green. That was the original plan but after thinking about it we realized it wasn't worth the time involved to save $11. We don't want to feel hurried to get park passes the day we get there. Now I can't wait for them to arrive in the mail!!! :cloud9:

It looks like my friend may go for two rooms at POR! I sent her some more pics of the ASM suites and she just didn't care for their looks. I reminded her that she won't be there that much and she reminded me this is their first WDW trip and probably the last for awhile. She's right. When you are only doing it once then you have to go big and be happy. I told her again how much you guys rec. it!!! :goodvibes

POR is awesome!! I love the boat to Downtown Disney. The pool area is really nice. It is so peacful walking around the property. Can you tell I am looking forward to my trip there soon??;) I think your friend will be happy with her choice!:thumbsup2

POR is beautiful - they will not be disappointed.

I am waiting for her to call me tonight...I dropped my guide books off to her step-daughter yesterday and she was going to check out POR. I also think she will like it more then ASM!! (Not that I have stayed in either!! :rotfl: )

Hey guys...I thought I would post pics of what I did this weekend. I brought my suitcases down from the crawl space and put my ME tags on them!! Only 33 days to go. I think DH thinks I am weird for setting them up in the spare bedroom already but alas, I just couldn't look at those tags and not do something!!! :rotfl:

I also went to Borders and found these little items...trivia books for newlyweds!! Tons of fun for the plane ride down. I will probably fail. Any takers on who will score better??

Then I thought I would take a pic of the encyclopedia size book DVC sent me. Hard to tell just how large it is from the pic but it's huge!!! I tried to take a pic of a random page in the book but it didn't come out well. It's just a big book for of legal papers that I am sure we just had to get but in reality no one reads. Not really sure what to do with it!! :confused3 I can't throw it away but it sure takes up space!!

And that's the teeny update for today. I just read a GREAT TR this afternoon....from a girl that worked at WDW through the college program last year. Check it out if you have some time!! :thumbsup2

I am going back to Disney. No, we are going back to Disney. We includes:

DH (46) can you show a little more excitement honey
DW (45) Me, living on the disboard, excessive planner, determined to plan the perfect trip
DS#1(18) wait, you can't go without me, I'll be in school
DS#2 (16) can I drive the rental car
DD (9) Yea, Disney!!!

I went one time as a youngster and once with my family. I bought the plane tickets, so its real now. It all started when I learned about free dining. OH Honey, we can save soooo much money if we go with free dining. And so it began. I was checking the boards daily, getting up early reading about the disney visa people getting their free dining and then.....I got it. Hon, we are staying at the Coronado in September. ...NOT. We can't go in September. DD can't miss her horseshow, she has to get her points for the high points award banquet. OK, early September. NO, its too hot andd DS#2 can't miss a football game, he is first trumpet in the marching band. DS#1 will be a sophomre in college, he can't go. OK End of August. NO, band camp and horse camp. HHHMMMM, I have to go..... I have the fever, its disneyitis. OK, forget the free dining we will go in October. No, DS#2 is auditioning for a musical and the show is October 23rd. OK we will go in November. Yes, this will work. Hey kids, check out this website for Discovery Cove, I want to go there too. Yes we are going to DC!! DS#1, Mom, why are you guys going there without me? Dad can't get off work in the summer, besides you have two jobs this summer to help pay for school. But MOM....OK, Now DH decides, Honey, we can just fly DS#1 down for the weekend. He can go to DC one day and and DW one day. PERFECT. No, he can't go in November, he has wrestling and finals. OK back to October. No, he has midterms. OK, early November? Yes, that will work. OK so it will be October 27th through November 5th. Oh no, DS#2 will miss the Homecoming dance. Guess what son, too bad. I have spent months trying to pick a date. OK. thats it we are going. DS#1...I can't can't go its my girlfriends birthday she said she will be very upset if I miss her birthday:love: OK son, have a nice time with her on her birthday, unless of course she is dating someone else by then, after all you are only 18. Two days later...I don't really care if I miss her birthday, I 'll bring her back a souvineer. (that's my boy).... Now of course it dons't go smoothly from here. As I write I have no reservations for accomodations. I thought I did but..............

ok I wrote this whole thing and it poted in the wrong place. Sorry I will try again.

Thanks for the TR suggestion! I just read it and I really enjoyed it. :thumbsup2 Your quiz books look cute!

Hey, I saw that you commented on my TR (your comments were really sweet, thank you SO much, BTW) and so I came over to read your pre-trippie! It's great so far... you said you ramble, but I don't see it! I just see interesting things... I love the extra little tidbits. I know you are going to have a fabulous time! Congrats on becoming a DVC member... perhaps that will be in my far off future... I am not sure, but that's gotta feel good! :)

And thanks for mentioning me in THIS report. I'm... speechless. (For once in my life.) THANK YOU. And can't wait to read more!
