The Holy Cow I Leave in Less Than Two Weeks Pre-Trip Report

On Sunday we are hoping to take it slow in the morning... I know this sounds absolutely horrible for the avid planner; however, I have promised my DH that there will be more relaxation this trip and I am... get this... planning to relax. I will let him sleep in and have a nice later breakfast by the pool. DS and I will wake up and explore the resort. Pop has so many parts of it that are so much fun I just can't wait! Then, we are going for a dip in the pool and off to get ready for Hollywood Studios. We have Lunch/Dinner reservations for Mama Melrose so we could get the Fantasmic tickets. This is an absolute blessing as we have never been able to get reservations for Fantasmic before. Has anyone ever eaten here? I hope the food is good. I have never seen Fantasmic and this is why we are going to take it easy in the morning. I have my fingers crossed that DS will be able to make it! Has anyone seen this show? On these boards I never hear too much about it, but I am excited to see it!

DH will ride the thrill rides like Rockin Rollercoaster while I bring DS to the Honey I shrunk the kids backstage lot. So excited! Four days and counting!!!!

Your plan sounds good for DHS. I've also promised DH we will take it easier this trip...we'll see (since I promise that every trip! )

Fantasmic is my FAVORITE!!! I love it way more than Wishes and Illuminations combined. It's incredible!!!

As far as the Water Parks & Fun, we've gone to a water park just one day each the past two years. It's hard finding time for them, but they are a lot of fun. I'd have liked to do them again (since we, you know, have the tickets for them) but my brother doesn't want to DisneyQuest is a lot of fun though. We spend a good amount of time there depending on what else we have going on.

I liked Typhoon Lagoon much more than Blizzard Beach, but it seemed like Blizzard Beach had more of a kids section. I'm not certain though, since I didn't actually go in that part of it.

Thank you so much! I am so excited, but today reality set in that I have only two more days left at work and about 3 weeks worth of stuff I should do before I leave. This happens every time which is why I am so happy I took Friday off. I can relax and pack myself!

Well, enough of that sleeping in stuff because today we are back at Magic Kingdom! I have a 10am ressie at CRT and I just LOVE eating at the castle! Hopefully I will get on Dumbo before late breakfast, and from there we will do Fantasyland. I am going back to the hotel relatively early because my father will be coming to see us from Palm Coast and we are going to Medieval Times for dinner. Now, I nearly had a heart attack when he said he wanted to do this as he is legally blind, so he had to catch a ride to Pop and we got him a room there for the night and I have no vehicle. No worries said Mears! They will pick us up and bring us to the show and then pick us up and bring us back! I was most concerned about having a carseat but as Mears is considered "public transportation" I don't have to have one. I am still nervous about not having a car seat, so I will obsess over this more for the next few days! This is the first time I am doing something non-disney while at Disney so we will see what happens!

hi... im new.. but ive read your whole report! u have 4 days to go!!! i have 12.. also staying at pop.

we thought about staying at the poly or AKL... but could never bring myself to spend that amount of money on a place ill spend the least of my time. we are not pool people, so as long as the room is clean .. im happy when i looked at the poly rooms online.. & honestly they didnt look all that nice.. and NOT worth the money..

as for the car.. ive been there many times and NEVER rented a car, never needed it,

we bring my 2 year old son for the first time this trip. . we went and stayed at AllSS last june and left the baby home., just brought my 8 year old.. (id be taking over ur thread if i explained that one.. lol)

hope i didn't write too much!! im just
soooo excited too ..

ohhh.. and i love the suitcase,
have an awesome vacation, i cant wait till i can say.. 4 more days.. urrhhh lol take care

Hello and Welcome!

Polynesian had very beautiful views of the castle and a nice pool with zero depth entry. The room was not my style but again, different strokes for different folks! Pop has a fantastic pool and I am ready to go get my burn on! I am so pale that I only have two shades, white and red... Hopefully there will be pink in between. ;-) Thanks for the comments about the car! I am still not sold on it, but I think it stems from being so independent that I feel I need it. I know I don't need it. Let Mickey do the driving!

Day Four...

So we will be saying good bye to my father . I am sad just thinking about goodbye. But the World will have other things in store for us including beginning the day with Chef Mickey's! Yahooty! From there we will be off to Epcot. I am a Disney Visa Holder which means two things 1-I have to pay it off every month because the interest rate is absolutely insane and 2- I have get a picture at a meet and greet which is usually my favorite picture of the trip. From there, we will be visiting Captain EO starring Michael Jackson, Journey Into Imagination With Figment, Living with the Land, Soarin', and The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

While we are at Disney we Food and Wine Festival will be going on so we want to leave the showcase for the last days we are there...

Here's hoping to a fantastic time! How many days do you have left?

They said it's about 30 min away? I am not sure if they are taking into account stops or anything. Thanks for saying my plans are great. You know planning is 90% of every Disney Vacation!!!! How will I get through my last day of work? I'll tell you very easily. I took tomorrow off simply because I knew that I always stay very late the last day trying to get everything done.... So here's to not staying too late tonight!

Sweet! Family Guy is really funny. You know that Amy hasn't told her son yet, but I can't see how she hasn't. I tell my DS every five minutes.

So before I go into Day five, my costume came in for MNSSHP. DH had his and DS had his, which he will promptly no longer want as he will want to be Buzz Lightyear. Here is my costume...

It's really light weight and comfy. My son loved it!

So Day Five...

Animal Kindgdom!!!

One of my favorite places to have breakfast is Tusker House and this trip we have reservations at 815. I love being there at or before the park opens. I am on right now. I am imagine my DS seeing all the characters and having a blast. I love the Lion Show, Expedition Everest, It's Tough to be a Bug! Kali River Rapids, and my absolute favorite is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This is my favorite ride in the whole world. One year when i was pregnant, I couldn't ride it, and I was so sad. Now I can't wait for Jack to experience it. This year is going to be the best because he will actually be able to acknowledge everything. I so hope he has the time of his little life!

Day Five Night... Downtown Disney! I think we are going to try for TREX!

Great costume - it looks awesome.

AK has really become one of our favorite parks...used to be a half day park for us, but now we can easily spend the whole day there.

And I LOVE T-Rex - we've only been once but it was fantastic and we'll be heading back this year.
