The History of Howard Stern on Sirius

Oh my goodness, I toyed with the idea of posting the very same thread. :thumbsup2

I am really surprised at how much I am enjoying this series. I thought it would be ok, but it is really, really good. And I have never heard Fred talk so much! :rotfl: I particulary enjoy hearing Howard's old broadcasts from his Hartford and Washington days.

The tape team has done a great job! :yay:

I haven't heard any of it, but may tune in at some point.

High pitch Mike interviewed one of my co-workers about his thoughts on the series. I guess they played snippets of the interview yesterday. I forgot to tune in and listen lol.

I agree, I did not think I would like the "old stuff" as much! I LOVED the Private Parts movie and this seems to be just a great extension of that. I know a lot of people are not fans of his and some things he says can be offensive, but I think he is just brilliant and I am a huge fan of his!:)

I've been listening too!!!! Great stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It really is a great extension of Private Parts (the movie and book). This is the kind of stuff that could have been included on a 10th anniversary DVD. ;) Being a fan, it really is neat getting the insight on how he became the King of all Media. It is really amazing when you think about it. How many people from RADIO have attained his status?

I've been listening too. Awesome stuff! I thought it would be interesting, but I never expected it to be that good. I only started listening to Stern in 1995 so I didn't know a lot of the history (except what was shown in Private Parts). I have really enjoyed hearing it. They did a wonderful job.

I wonder if he would consider putting this on CD or something. I would love to hear the entire thing. Almost like an audio book on my iPod! Its great in the car, and I am listening here at work on my laptop, but when I have to get some work done, it takes me away from it!:surfweb:

I just turned it on, but I hate that I missed the first two parts.
This is really great stuff! :thumbsup2

On the show Robin suggested he box it up and give to subscribers. He nixed the idea, but I would be suprised if we didn't see some sort of box set come out.

I too have been listening.
I didn't think I would like it much either and wouldn't listen to much of it, but I am really enjoying it.

I heard that show and had to get out of the car when he was talking about it so I never knew the outcome. I kinda agree, maybe in January when they get back and hear so much positive feedback on it, he may reconsider!

Is it on this week and next? How about weekends? Hopefully not, I don't get the chance to listen as much on the weekends!

I am guessing replays on the weekend? :confused3 There might be more info on his website, but I try not to access that at work.

Great! Thanks for the heads up. I guess it does not continue next week with KROCK. I thought I heard that each day is the staff favorites of 2007.

I really thought it would be boring but it is great, especially the stories about his mom and growing up in Roosevelt.

I am just bummed that he is off the air for so long, it seems like he is ALWAYS on vacation!

Howard is a fantastic talent. He's not for everybody, but for those who "get it" there's no one like him.:) :)
