Wolf - you want everyone to lay off right??? As they should - BUT you need to move on as well. Stop harping on the "strong words" that people offended you with and start listening to the very knowledgeable people on this board. I am sure that everyone who has kept up on this ridiculous thread (its like a car crash that you can't take your eyes off of for goodness sake) knows that you do not feel you have done anything wrong. From now on just understand that the world is not a kind place where you will be supported in all you do. People are going to challenge you from now until the day you die - don't be hindered by them, grow from them. You're young, you will learn in time. But for now, keep up your passion for HM and do everything you can to LEARN about it - I assure you that you will never know all there is to know and that is what is so exciting! :)

I kinda got interested in this thread, but got so tired of scrolling past the same old pictures over and over that I had to give up on it before I could read all the posts. A shame, methinks.

Har!

I really want to close this thread. My dream to know more about The HM has turned into a nightmare of people tring to discredit or accuse me of awful things such as PLAGUERISM. Words like these are very strong and should only be used in extreme situations. Another thing since the last couple threads I have not received one question but rather have had to defend myself countless times. So I ask one thing LAY OFF or I will have this thread closed.

Hello - You post this, and you're surprised at the response you got:

I am THE foremost authority on The Haunted Mansion. I will accept any questions that you have about The Haunted Mansion. I warn you I AM THE BEST! I know things that most cast members still do not know.

Sorry, but that's not something said in fun. It's the ramblings of an arrogant person. Post an arrogant message, you get arrogant replies. If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.

Does anyone know where I can find a dead horse?

I would really like to beat a dead horse. I'm having trouble finding one.

Can anyone help me?

Alright, enough is enough. The horse is dead.
Can you all lock this already?

EDIT: Hey Becca... that was almost comical :teeth:

Sonno!

That was Great!

Too funny!

Great minds think alike!

Great Graphic! Love it!

:dance3:

I haven't and won't bash the original poster, but what I don't get is, if he wants the thread stopped so badly, why not just stop posting? As well as others who for some reason want the thread closed - Just stop posting. I don't see why anyone would care if a thread was closed. If you're not interested, then don't open the thread. :confused3

Aww, and just when I had a good trivia question, the thread has gone south!

For you HM trivia lovers, in the ballroom scene, which ghost is reading a book?

I was stumped on that last question so I went to google and typed "which ghost is reading in haunted mansion ballroom". And I saw this thread!

...All I want is an answer to the HM/Columbia House connection. I'm too lazy to research it myself. I'd rather just sit here and read the DIS. ;)

O....K...that was a very interesting story. It sure would explain a lot even though it's a bit gross...not quite Disney. :bitelip: I was wondering how far back in time your story go's? I kind of though zippers weren't around for a while! :confused3
Helen

The story was interesting, although I would like to see more versions from others. Maybe a whole different thread. :)
Zippers were not used in clothing until the 1930's. This really bugged me, because I'm picturing the period depicted at the HM.

OK I am getting lazy so I will copy and paste some info from www.doombuggies.com

You can find this story in its entirety here http://doombuggies.com/myths4.htm

The "Man with the Cane:" Is he haunting Orlando to this day?
Contributed by
Michael Jamis

I worked the Orlando Mansion in 1978. At that time, a story about "The Man with the Cane" was already circulating. I was told he would appear in an empty Doombuggy in the load area late at night when ride operators were by themselves at the load position. Story goes a girl was working load late one night, they had gone down to one stretch room and the crowds were light. This meant there was usually a lapse in guests between stretch room dumps. This left you, the operator alone for a few minutes, walking the load belt, listening to that music and the sound effects, peering into the darkness that stretched into the ride at one end and from the unload area at the other. So one night this hostess is working load when from the unload area a Doombuggy rounds the corner with a man sitting in the middle of the seat, looking very gaunt, staring straight ahead, hands resting on a cane positioned in front of him. The operator tries to make eye contact and say hello, the man does not respond but instead disappears with the Doombuggy as it works it's way into the ride. The hostess goes to the load console, calls the unload operator on the phone to say, "Who was that you just sent me? He wouldn't say hello!" To which the unload operator responded, I didn't send anyone around to you. They contacted their lead, all waited for the car to come out of the ride and of course when it did... it was empty. We were always told it was the ghost of Yale Gracey. Whether this is true or not I do not know, but I can tell you I cursed the employee who told me the story... especially on those late nights when I was alone, walking the load belt, listening to the music, staring at the wallpaper, the wallpaper staring back at me... I was so relieved when the stretch room doors would open and those guests would pop out...

Anyone plese PM me or post here and explain what an AW is for me Please. :)
