Simple the designer saw building The Haunted Mansion as a game therefore he included all pieces from a typical Chess game on the roof but left out the knight bc it is inside.

Please stop accusing me of looking up answers. I am not looking them up my knowledge as I explained has come for countless rides on The Haunted Mansion. And also from my die hard enthusiasm of anything to do with it.

Ok, then you might want to look that last answer up.

Listen, I know you think I'm 'picking on you' but the truth is, I think you have a very worthwhile ambition, to BE the foremost authority on the Haunted Mansion. It's a fascinating attraction, full of amazing details, stories, and hidden gems. BUT....instead of feeling hard-done-by, take my questioning and the questioning of other people and let it inspire you to do the hard work of researching what you claim to know.

You've provided some half-truths here, but you've also provided a lot of mis-information and downright incorrect information. Question everything you've HEARD and find out what's correct and what's not correct.

When you state something as fact, other people will either correct you or believe you. Those that correct you CAN be a catalyst to increasing your knowledge. Those that believe you take what you say and pass it on as THEIR knowledge and then the attraction (or story, or park, or.....whatever) loses the shine of pure genious that went into creating it.

Be better than that. Do the hard work and make sure you ARE the foremost authority. That's exactly the way to making that statement come true.

I'm not your enemy. I'm your friend, if what you claim you are is what you really want to be.

It was posted earlier that they add NBC characters to HM during holiday time. Is this just at DL or do they do it at WDW? When do they do it? Halloween or Christmas?

I've never heard of it being done at WDW.

I've only been to WDW in the summer and spring never in fall or winter. I'd like to know because I'm thinking about planning a Dec trip.

Again listen to it more. They have every ride through inlcuding DL, WDW, PARIS. They even have the different holiday versions, etc...They have all the sounds seperatly, they have the making of the dialouge, they have more than you could imagine......way more than the 22 minutes you currently have.

True there is no story to The Haunted Mansion. They leave that all up to you and what you make of it. I have not been able to find the wedding ring myself but I believe it is located in the entrance queue. There are no handouts regarding The Haunted Mansion.

I'll try to post a picture of the ring my 7 year old took last year, I check out the ring everytime I am there.

I am the KING OF THE TEACUPS RIDE -- ask me anything about the Teacups and I will Google it for you so as to showcase my internet search abilities. I can also recite the complete script to the Teacups and the actors who portray each teacup. Then, feeling full of myself and with a great sense of accomplishment, I will sit on the couch eating Ben & Jerry's and watch Full House reruns.
