The Haunted Mansion KING!

Will people please stop bashing me. I admit maybe I was a bit egotistic in saying the opening line but I have never really had anything to boast about. I hate that people are pointing out my faults. No one cares to notice that I gave chefmayhem mad props or that none of my work has been researched or plagaerized. All people want to do is make themselves feel better by knocking me down...

Good Lord! This kid is probably 13! So funny to see you MEN get worked into a tizzy when you're obvioulsy dealing with a child! :rotfl2:

I am so lovin' this thread... popcorn::

If you are a 13 year old boy having fun, that's great! :) No one minds a little fun. But when you say you're the foremost authority on a board where people do know their stuff and aren't just guessing, making it up or spitting back info they found on other websites and calling it their own, you have to expect to be questioned your statements.

I've got a question for you that I don't think you can find on any other website, but I'm sure the KING of all HM knowledge could figure out with very little effort:

What is the spooky connection between specific items in the Columbia Harbour House and the Haunted Mansion? (Yes, there is one).

Doesn't matter if you don't know or get it wrong. It's just for fun (though it's true as well.....).

On my last trip to WDW last August, I met a CM who was a HUGE fan of HM. He used his lunch breaks and days off to ride the HM continuously. He was trying to ride the ride 999 times in a year he wanted to reach his goal by Halloween. He would wait in the regular line (no special treatment) and would have a HM CM intial for each ride he took. I wonder if he made his goal.

Also, I heard a while back that Jack Skellington was going to be added to HM. Anyone else hear this? I think the gang from Nightmare Before Christmas would be a fine addition to the attraction.(I like Jack and Sally)

Although I can understand why many many people will have a problem with this. HM is already an amazing ride, and turning it into a NBC marketing machine is distastful. Many fans would be horrified, I'm guessing this is why it didn't go through.

I would love to meet that dude. :worship:

I do notlike NBC at all and i dont like people incorporating it with the mansion (no offense). I know they do the haunted mansion holiday in order to satisfy NBC lovers.

This has been fun. I started reading this thread thinking....hmmm someone has been reading " doombuggies". :happytv:

I love the ride ( spend as much time on it as possible) and even have a bedroom dedicated in HM theme.... So if you are the KING you can PM me a link to the person who once sold the HM " look alike" wall paper. :smokin:

Do you have any pictures of the bedroom? I think it would be really cool to see.

Cool thats what I want with the breathing door, shaking coffin, and demonic wallpaper. :thumbsup2

sold the HM " look alike" wall paper.

Do you mean the "eyes" wallpaper?

Or do you mean the aged Victorian Walpaper?

You can make pretty much any striped wallpaper HM like by aging it. Distress the edges, peel some, cover it with a glaze to discolor it. Any home improvement store will be able to help you.

Good Luck!

I mean the purple one with the dragon like heads. I urge all HM fans to visit doombuggies.com it is the best and is even equipped with HM downloads! All fans read my story and please leave feedback.

I'm not picking a fight, I'm questioning your statements. There's a difference. :)

If you don't know the answer to my question, I would urge you to visit the Columbia Harbour House. As the foremost expert on the Haunted Mansion, there's a fantastic little tidbit you really should know, that will amaze and astound all your friends and will get you one step closer to being knowledgable about the HM, if not actually a KING.

I'm going to hold on to the info for now, only becuase I don't want you to grab it and call it your own on any other websites you may visit. ;) But go check it out. Maybe ask around. You'll find it, I'm sure, and it's a fun little 'hidden gem'.

Allright, now you're leaving the rest of us here in suspense. ;) Any chance you'll PM the tidbit (as I don't foresee going to Columbia Harbour House anytime soon and I promise I won't tell the king)

I would not claim it as my own I would maybe say it is something I know. Something saved as a piece of trivia.

I agree, doombuggies.com is a great site. Chef Mayhem's new book about the HM is great!
