It was really... Quiet in Madrid. Quiet as in not many people. Either everybody drives most of the day (tons of cars. The traffic system is weird) or nobody likes to explore. Well work as well. When leaving the plane, we saw hardly anyone until passing customs. Walking through the parks, they were pretty empty, as were the museums. The theme park was quietish. There were long rides for the really popular rides like the rollercoasters, but some short lines as well. I think it's because the rides we went on could hold quite a lot of people.
Quietness though, that's not true. Traffic was everywhere. Our hotel was close to many bars, so there was tons of noise there. I lucked out and got a room not facing the bars, but one of the teachers got one of them. She said she couldn't get to sleep. I brought earplugs with me mainly for that reason. I'm glad I did, because there was still audible noise outside.
