Am I crazy!?! But I LOVE the noise, hussle and bussle of Disney. The splashing of water, the laughter etc. In fact, I think I sleep better because I'm so thrilled to be at Disney. The only thing that bothers me is a foul mouth...that I cannot tolerate.

me too! Especially around children, and where around WDW are you going to find a spot without any!

Even when children are not around! LOL

We noticed much of this last Feb on our 5th POP stay...we were there 4 nghts, then moved to BWV - where it was very different. Far more subdued and better behaved guests. Next trip, early December, will be at WL.

Sad, because this was the first time we experienced such awful behavior from guests at POP. Hope this will not continue at POP.

You're so right! I had just been thinking about an incident when I had my young children eating in McDonald's. These youngish men were sitting at the next table engrossed in a conversation where every other word was a curse. There were also several "F" bombs dropped. My two littlest ones were oblivious, but my older son's mouth was gaping open. He couldn't believe grown-ups would talk that way. I can't believe it, either.

We requested a "Preferred room" since MIL was coming along and she is currently in hospital having 2nd knee replaced. We did get 60's, PlayDoh bldg, and our door opened to the kiddie splash pool. We weren't able to hear thru the door but once it was open all bets were off. We had to walk around the flower pool, which we couldn't take DD in since she is 3 and there were bigger kids splashing everyone, coming and going. I understand they are kids, they are on vacation, etc. but so am I and I don't feel comfortable with going in a pool to be splashed by some losers inconsiderate kid after walking past the drinkers talking LOUDLY with assorted profanity in the middle of the afternoon!!
We never had a problem with either stay at ASMo BEFORE having a child of our own. So we have decided that if we do value resort next trip it will be back to Movies or we are upgrading to PO.

Your not crazy. The noise, hussle, and bussle of Disney is great during the day and even into the evening and it does get you into the spirit. Problem is when I am sound asleep and someone throws their screaming, crying kids out of the room and into the courtyard to have their fit at 2am waking everyone else (only happened once). Another noise that I am not in love with is waking to the weed whipper going in front of my room at 7am when I'm are sound asleep after getting in late the night before once the busses start running it's understandable. I am sure others could sleep right through it and I really wish I could. In the end I am at Disney and that makes up for any noise that could wake me up. There are people who can sleep better with noise and there are people who wake up when they hear very loud noises. Doesn't make anyone crazy. lol That is why i now bring earplugs.

Hi,
We will be staying at the POP this Oct. and our flight comes in late morning (I hope). If our room is not ready, where do they store our carry-on luggage? We would like to go to the parks, and not worry about those bags.
I am so excited about this trip, that I spend so many hours reading these threads, my eyes get blurry.
I hope this is the thread to ask this, still kind of new to all of this.

Last year our flight arrived late morning also..so when we go to POP checked in and room wasn't ready they told us we could store our carry-on's w/luggage service and they would deliver it to our rooms..so we did..they we got on the next bus to MK when we came back to our rooms that evening..all our luggage including carry-on's were waiting for us in our room...it was great...

By the pool there is the bathroom, dressing rooms and laundry. That would be the best place.

We have a fridge swap on the Budget Board, but it's not on the fridge swap sticky, so you have to look for the title of the thread:

"Hoppin' at the POP Fridge Swap"

Our available dates are:

Oct. 1-5
Oct. 29-Nov. 1
Nov. 6-11
Nov. 18-29
Dec. 22-Jan. 19

The POP doesn't like fridges to sit around in luggage services too long, so we really need to fill in those gaps! The swap is free! We just need YOU to fill in the spaces. Imagine how nice it would be to come back to nice cool beverages at night after a long day in the parks, without having to trudge back to the dining hall to refill your mug.

Come on, you know you want to join.......

Just PM me or post to the Budget Board thread. I'll be offline for a few days, but I'll contact you as soon as I return, so go ahead and PM/post, because it's first come, first served as far as getting on the list is concerned.

YES IT IS A GOOD FEELING TO HAVE IT PAID IN FULL, WE DID A VACATION PACKAGE WHICH INCLUDES ALL TICKETS AND OUR FOOD. SO ALL WE NEED IS MONEY FOR GAS, TIPS AND FUN THINGS.
