Do they only have the coke flavour or do they have cherry coke flavour too??? :cool1:

It's regular frozen coke.

DD wanted to put in some of the frozen cherry too to make cherry coke, but it was blue that day.

There is frozen Coke and frozen Blue Raspberry. Never saw Cherry. :( We were there May 5-13th. Our room had a small sign on our table about wireless internet becoming available throughout the resort. It is $9.99 a day.

I took this picture just for the DISers...

Here is another pic including the frozen coke machine. This should help everyone who wants to know what's available. :)

Thanks for the pictures. We leave in 21 days for our first trip to WDW and my kids are looking forward to the frozen cokes. (Ok, I am to :smooth: )

Does anyone know if POP has egg beaters, egg substitute, and/or egg whites for omelets and/or scrambled eggs during breakfast time?

Any information would be appreciated!

Oh my!! If you are going down soon - you must try the Chicken Alfredo Penne - its to die for. It also comes with a breadstick like the ones you get at Olive Garden. SO good!! I had this like 3 nights in a row - so awesome.

I'm a vegetarian so on more than one night DH and I split this- we asked for the chicken on a separate plate and we had bread in our room (our kids LOVE bread) and he made a sandwich and I ate the pasta. It was a great late night snack/extra meal when we had had a really early dinner and found ourselves hungry later :)

Ok thanks. Still really didn;'find an answer (I did find several different ones). I'll just call them tomorrow. :goodvibes

Ok, just an update, I go my answer about the smoking buildings at POP from Disney, this is what they said:

If you have booked a standard room then you will probably be in building 8,
1990's .

If you have booked a preferred room then you will probably be in building 1 or
4, 1950's or 1960's.

Just wanted to post a "thank you" to all the folks that have contributed to this thread. We just got back from Pop and will definitely return.

We got our requested room in the 70's building - we were in building 10, right near the Big Wheel and overlooking the Foosball Court and the giant Mickey Mouse Phone. This is an excellent location: fairly quiet (we were on the 3rd floor) and a short walk to the main pool and food court. My mom and brother were in the building across the way and also enjoyed their location and quiet rooms.

What a kid-friendly resort! The kiddie pool and the Goofy Pop Jets were a big hit. I can't emphasize enough how fun it was to just play and play in the water areas. Those were really some of our best memories. There were also a lot of open spaces and walkways for our little one to just run around and burn off some energy.

The cast members were wonderful. OK, I know it's true at all Disney resorts, but everyone from the check-in counter to the food court cashier to the housekeepers were so nice. Just walking into the Everything Pop store and seeing a cast member teaching a girl (about 10 YO) how to dance reminded me of what a special place Disney is.

The landscaping is beautiful and well-designed. We enjoyed walking around and checking out the flowers and plants. I was afraid that the theming would be a bit over the top for the adults in our group, but my 67 YO mom couldn't stop talking about the giant icons -- they led to fun memories (“I remember your brother driving a Big Wheel up and down the driveway”).

The food court was your typical food court, but it did have a variety of selections in both the healthy and junky category. I was especially impressed with the grab-and-go area - everything from string cheese, fresh fruit cups and celery and carrot sticks to baked goods, desserts and kids lunches to go with Uncrustables sandwiches.

Thanks again to all that posted information and answered questions. It made for great trip for my friends and family. :thumbsup2

Were the rooms standard or preferred?

Glad you enjoyed your stay. :)

In our recent stay at POP (May 14-22, 2006), I have to say I saw a difference in the hotel from 2 years ago when it was "brand new" and now. Cast members were cordial, but it ends there. I was very disappointed in Mousekeeping. On all occasions but one, our tip was never even taken. Two years ago, mousekeeping would do something comical to our girls' stuffed animals, sometimes "swinging" them in the curtains. This time, we returned to find the stuffed animals "thrown" on the beds in a haphazard fashion. And, as crazy as this sounds, we were looking forward to being told, "Have a magical day" by everyone, and we heard those words only occasionally. Finally, the arcade changed from its method of putting tokens in each machine to having to purchase a card that must be swiped before playing the games. This may not sound like much, but it was a big hassle with three kids who couldn't wait to get back to the arcade. I couldn't just give them tokens and send them on their way. Had to figure out how to divide my limited funds evenly three different ways.

The food court is still good, as is the gift shop. We don't spend a lot of time at the hotel, so POP is just fine with us. But we didn't find it to be quite the same as it once was.

I have a trip planned for Pop Century for 7/11 through 7/27. This is my first time at Pop Century or ever staying on Disney property.

When I made my reservations in February, I requested a refrigerator and I was told that it was $10.00 a night. I need the refrigerator because we are planning on eating breakfast in the room and bringing sandwiches with us to the parks for lunch or to eat around the pool on a non-park day.

I just found out that my nephew will be having his tonsils taken out right before we go to Disney. He will be on an antibiotic for 10 days after his tonsils are out. Almost all of his antibiotics that he has been on have to be refrigerated.

I read somewhere on this post that if you need a refrigerator for medical reasons that there is no charge. Would they consider refrigeration of an antibiotic a medical reason if I show them the antibiotic? Do I need to get a note from the doctor or just showing them the antibiotic be enough? Since we have a medical reason now, would they just not charge for it since I had already requested a frig?

If they give me the refrigerator for my nephew's medicine, do I need the other frig for milk and coldcuts or can I fit these things into the medical frig also? Someone said on one of the posts that the medical refrigerator is smaller and another person said that the medical frig is the same size as the one that you pay $10 for.

Has someone stayed recently with a medical reason for a refrigerator without cost - are the refrigerators actually the same size or is it the luck of the draw?

If the medical refrigerator is definitely smaller then I'll just pay the $10 the way I was first planning to and store my nephew's medicine along with everything else that I was getting the refrigerator for.

Disney should just start putting refrigerators in all their rooms without an additional charge especially since they are raising the prices at the values in 2007. It doesn't seem fair that you can get an offsite hotel, even at $50 a night, with a refrigerator and a microwave - most without any additional charges but Disney charges or will charge $110 a night for a standard room in 2007 and it doesn't even have a frig. By that time everyone should just go to Walmart and by a $60 frig and leave it in the hotel when you leave.

I really don't want to stay offsite since I really want my nephew to have a Disney magical vacation, a break in the afternoon by the pool for a swim, and I can't do that offsite since I don't drive. If I was able to drive I would go to Walmart and buy a refrigerator and then just leave it in the room, but with the price of the frig and the cost of a cab both ways from Pop to Walmart, I won't save that much.

Thanks for any info on the medical frig you can supply.

When you have more than three people over the age of three they will not even give you the option of a king bed. We tried last year, thinking we could bring DD, then age four, her air mattress that she uses at Grandma's and they said NO. Dh and I took turns sleeping with her since he is 6'4 and not very comfy to sleep with in a double bed. LOL. This is our last trip being able to fit in one room, next year the twins will be three and I am hoping when we go again we can get a king room adjoining the standard full/full room. Ahhhh-- spread out and relax on vacation- what a thought. ;)

When I called and made my ressie the lady had no problem marking it as a request that we wanted a king bed. It will be 3 of us. I explained that I will be 7 months pregnant and would have a hard time squeezing on a double with my husband. She did say that they give priority to handicaps, and parties of 2 or less, when assigning king bed rooms so it is unlikely if they are busy to get a king bed, but it is still worth mentioning.

Ofcourse it's probably like most things and it really depends on what cm you get and how they're feeling that day, but when I got my confirmation it did say that I request a king.

Worse comes to worse we'll have to break up between the doubles.

This thread is great!! I get excited everytime I read it!!
I just learned something new here...someone please tell me what and where the goofy Jets are. Definitely sounds like a not to miss!!

We just got back and needed a fridge for some meds. They never asked to see them, or a prescription, or anything of the sort. Just tell them it's for meds when you check in.

Tosie- Was it a "regular-sized" (e.g. can hold soda, etc also) or was it a "med-sized" fridge? I've heard recent differing reports.
