I called last week and booked a "preferred" room for Dec 4-11. The nice man that took our reservation didnt ask me about what kinda beds I wanted or if I wanted a non-smoking room, or if I needed a hair dryer, etc. Is this something I need to request when I actually check in? Also, will they know now what room/building i'm in, or do I have to wait for check in.
Traveling with my DH, DS-5, DS 1
This is our first trip to DW w/kids. Little nervous. VERY excited :)
Hey, Mommyof2,,,,,,Jonathan ,,,cute name,,,Jack Daniel....I can't help but wonder about the origin!!!Make sure you send your request in before you arrive. That way they will have it on file. Don't be nervous, It will be magical!! :yay:

I wanted to know which ones are the best in the new non preferred section?

Are you permitted to select a bottled water as your beverage In Everything Pop with your lunch or dinner if you are on the dining plan?
Thanks!

There are too many varying reports on what the new preferred sections actually are.

I agree. It will be interesting to read upcoming trip reports about where people are staying in the newly preferred rooms. I read somewhere that the rooms facing the pools/courtyard in the 50s, 60s, and 70s are preferred, but I don't know if that is true. Maybe it goes by location, as in which rooms are closest to Everything Pop. :confused3

I am getting a standard room and I will hope for the best as far as location goes! :goodvibes

If you're going to Pop soon, please post whether you had a preferred or standard room and post what building/view you had. Thanks!

Thanks! That's my plan. We can use our refillable mugs for our "real" drink with our meal, and then take the water bottles to the park. That way, my daily snack credit can be used toward something fun like Dole Whips or popcorn instead of bottled water.

I was in 50's section 3rd floor building 1 facing the Parking lot. I have NO idea if this was a "Preferred" view or not, I would vote it wasn't. It was an OK location though. I didn't pay extra as I made my ressies 2 months ago. :teeth:

We were put there last fall & it seemed very isolated.

We ended up being moved because the phone didn't work & wouldn't be fixed for 3 days.

Our new room was 50's building 3, 2nd floor pool side, and we really liked it.

We used the stairs because it was so close to Classic Hall.

We would like that area again, but it's proabably preferred now.

Hi! We just returned yesterday from our wonderful 6 day/5 night stay at POP. This is the second time we have stayed there and everytime it just gets better. This year we discovered alot - especially about the food court. Oh my!! If you are going down soon - you must try the Chicken Alfredo Penne - its to die for. It also comes with a breadstick like the ones you get at Olive Garden. SO good!! I had this like 3 nights in a row - so awesome. We also had desserts - sooo good !! The chocolate cake is very good - alittle expensive at $3.59 but oh sooo good!! We stayed in the 80's section by the pool on the 4th floor we weren't actually next to the pool but we could see it from our room. It was alittle loud but not overpowering so that we couldn't sleep and yes sometimes you can hear your neighbors but if they were like ours - its was quiet even with their little ones. Any questions please feel free to ask!!

:lmao: That is my absolute FAVORITE too! Total addicted to it! :goodvibes

Do you know if the POP offers wireless yet?

I don't think so - I know there was a sign in our room that you could plug in and access the internet but nothing about wireless.

Just another note: We did use our mugs from last year and had no problem whatsoever and they had Iced Tea!!!

I was wondering if they had changed the mugs from last year. We bought ours last September. If we have to buy new ones we will, but maybe we can get by the mug patrol.

I am not sure if this has been posted in this thread, too many pages to read. This is my first time to stay at Pop's, do they have frozen cokes.... My DH loves them....

Thanks
