Is Chip n Dale Express ever still on here? I met him during the opening week at Pop Century, and wondered if he likes being back in the purple pants, or what has happened since then.....
Freediverdue, you are so lucky that you got to meet him. I tried to meet Chip 'n Dale Express at the PC a few years ago. He was training someone and was out on a luggage run that morning. I had to resort to leaving him a note. Aw shucks. I was so looking forward to meeting him.

Lets just say that I went back further in time than just 1950.........
Chip 'n Dale Express, I'll say you went waaaayyyy back in time. ;) As you know, I tried to meet you at your "new" (or is that "old") resort last Summer. I struck out every time. But I will be back in WDW again this year. I'm hoping that three's a charm and I'll finally get the opportunity to say "hello" in person.

Here is the link to the on-line version of the WDW Vacation Planning Video: click here. Once you’re on that webpage, click on the RESORTS button. The webpage will rearrange itself and some new buttons regarding the Resorts will appear. Put your mouse over the Disney Value Resorts Overview entry and select “Disney’s Pop Century Resort.” A video window will open and the Pop Century Resort video will begin to play.

It’s a nice way to experience a little bit of Disney magic without leaving the comfort of your home. ;)

My husband and I have stayed at the Pop Century 3 times and loved it. The food court was because you have your choice of different entrees that you want to eat and whatever time you want to eat. The pool are very enjoyable. We went in them almost everynight after a long day at the parks. The icons that they have for the different centuries are amazing because they are so big. The icons range from a Big Well to The Old Mickey Phone, The First Cell Phone and an A-Tracks. The Mr and Mrs. Potato Head is my favorite!! :cheer2:

We will be at Pop from March 28-April 3. We are thinking 50's Lady and the Tramp room or 80's pacman room, which is better? We dont really care about the walk to the bus stop but it would be nice to be close to the pool with the laundry area since I know I will have to do laundry atleast once. The kids will want to swim and I know they would like to be near a pool, but honestly they dont care which one, I would prefer one that is less crowded (if thats possible). Also, how far are both rooms from the food court, hubby wants to know since he will be sent down to pick up breakfast several mornings.
Thanks
Lora

We are going June 30-July 7, I am not really worried about the walk to the bus stop & food court since we will be doing alot of walking anyway. Can anyone give me some insight on what rooms i should request or ask for upon checkin. I would like it to be mostly quiet, less crowded section & maybe near one of the pools doesn't matter which one. I wanting to get the 4th floor as well. Any help would be great

We stayed in the 50's when we were there last April. It seems like a lifetime ago! We brought along our daughter's new boyfriend, they got engaged, now he's our son-in-law (married in January), and we're planning a family trip (with him as part of the family) for December. We'll be returning to Pop. :goodvibes

The rooms are the same no matter where you are located. They just change the posters around a bit. The 50's is quite convenient to the food court, the parking is easier, it's right by the lake, and the pool is not crowded. Because it is so close to the 60's, we found that most people just went to the flower pool instead of staying at the 50's pool. We haven't stayed in the 80's, but the rubic's cube there looks like it would be a lot of fun for kids. Our children are grown, so we opted for the convenience of the 50's instead. Because my parents are traveling with us this time, we have opted to pay extra for the preferred rooms (60's), as walking is difficult for them, but they will only have scooters in the resorts. Being extra close to the dining was important for this trip. I think you'd be equally happy in either the 50's or the 80's.

We're going to stay in POP for the first time July 7-12 then on to AKL. I can't wait to try out POP since everyone seems to love it so. My niece (10) would love to find a Disney friend to play with while we are there. :cool1:

My family and I have made our reservations for Pop Century, booked our flights from Columbus, Ohio to Orlando. We are coming down there December17, 2006 and leaving December 24, 2006. Any chance of meeting any of you folks, make it a huge party? lol I was also looking to possibly have a little romance with the wife withhout the kids any suggestions? the kids are 12 and 8 by the time we arrive. I would love to meet some of you folks and start making friends and such before we get there and possibly make arrangements for a little get together. Does anyone have have any other ideas or wish for this type of thing? This is our first family vacation and I am excited beyond compare, I think I am more excited than my 12 year old son who seems to think there isn't much he will enjoy except for the rollercoasters. Do you know if they have made any improvements concerning the princess meal thingys? I read a thread on here somewhere that people really felt ripped off by it and that the food really kinda sucked and was outrageaously overpriced especially since the quality of the food wasn't there. I am sure as time gets closer and moves on I will end up with more and more questions so keep an eye out for me lol :hourglass

At the orlando airport around 1 pm on December 17? Is that a good time to checkin and stuff and will we still be able to do anything besides hang out at pop century the first day?
