The Groovy New Pop Century FAQ Thread!

Hey everyone - thanks for all the great advice. I am now plannng to make our reservations for POP for 7/30 - 8/6! WOO HOO! I have also opted to get one room as opposed to connecting rooms as a few people advised that my kids will probably sleep through anything. I was worried that me and DH and DS 14 yo would disturb the little ones as we will probably need a little downtime when we get back to the room.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had any pics from their trips to POP? I have seen the slide show and Tyler's pics - any more you'd care to share?

Also, is the pool zero entry? It seems that somewhere on this thread someone mentioned that her toddler could just sit down....but I'm havig trouble finding that post.

Anyway, I am so excited and can't wait!

Kathy

Hi they have a laundry room in Pop Century . The one I used was next to the pool around the 90's building. Cost is $2.00 to wash and $ 2.00 to dry for 30 minutes. They have a change machine but once it was not working so have quarters available. They have a machine for soap and dryer sheets.

Slide show? Pics? Could someone post a link for me? TIA

The kiddie pool is zero entry. I can't remember it's full depth in the center, but my guess is less than a foot. It's also got little shooting water jets that kids like. The Pop Jet area is also a big hit with the little kids.

Love Bond :sunny:

We can always get a gallon of milk in the frig and a few other things. We take cereal, and bagels (we use the toaster in the food court) and pop tarts for breakfast. The frig has a small freezer, but it is fairly small (we put water bottles in it, I think 2) :wave2:

is the kiddie pool by the hippy dippy pool? Are the kiddie pool and ?goofy jet pop thing the same or is there actually a kiddie pool?

:goodvibes If memory serves me from last summer, the kiddie pool is just behind (closer to the lake) the hippy dippy pool
Annie
I am fairly sure the kiddie pool is just a small pool, and the goofy jet is in another area

thanks for the info. love the pictures. we're going in Aug and staying 2 nights at Pop before we move to BWV. Thanks for the pictures, the pop jets look cool.

Thanks for posting those pics Sandy! They make me want to be back at Pop now instead of here in the freezing rain! :teeth:

Where are the pop jets located?

If you look in the pic Zandy posted of the Pop Jets, look to the back right of the picture. The colored flowers you see are the top of the stand in between Everything Pop and the Hippy Dippy Pool and next to Petals Pool Bar. Just to give you a frame of reference.

If you were to walk out the back of Everything Pop and make a left (walking toward the 70's section) the Pop Jets would be on your right as you pass the 60's section and head into the 70's.

Does that help? :)

Okay, I have a dumb question, but I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.
Is there a "deep end" in the Hippy Dippy pool? The girls love to dive in our pool at home, but I wasn't sure if this one was all one depth or not. I feel kind of silly asking, but I've got nothing better to do :rotfl2:

Well, Tyler answered the diving question, and as for the depth. If I remember correctly, it's shallower on the outsides and gets deeper in the middle of the flower. I'm trying to remember where the water came to on me when I stood in the middle. I'd say it was probably around 5-5.5 feet deep in the middle??

Okay, thanks for answering Tyler and Karen. :) And thanks for not laughing at me :rotfl:

pack-n-play vs. crib... I saw on a post somewhere that there are crib services available. One of them will even set it up and take it down for you. My 20 month old LOVES his crib, but hates a pack-n-play. Would it be possible to fit a crib in a room at POP? There are 5 of us, so we'll have a room with 2 double beds.

Thanks!

Kathy
