You should call with requests. There is still some question with new systems whether the requests are being transferred to the room assignments, but the general advice I've seen is still to call with requests. I called last week with requests and the CM took them...doesn't mean they will get honored, but she didn't say no.

Online check-in does not have a free-form spot for requests anyway; you can only choose from ground floor, near transportation, fridge, or pack-n-play.

Ok, thanks!

One more question (sorry!!)....when should I call? Does it matter? I am arriving 5/8!

Yes, that's right...We're staying at Pop Century Resort Wed 03/30 > Sat.04/02. This Board and that resort are just too cool!! We're excited!! I need a walk in/walk out shower, so we were told we'll be in the 50's building.

I guess I'm a total nerd & Disney fan..just thought I'd vent...

Yay!!!

We may just see you there. We check in on May 7th. I am new to posting on this thread. We have never stayed at POP before and are really excited. We will be at POP May 7-10 then BC May 10-14. Can I tell y'all a secret? I am more excited about staying at POP than at the BC. I want to try as many resorts as we can and POP just looks so cool. I stayed at AS Sports twice and DH and I stayed at POFQ last year. Looking forward to falling in love with POP.

Another Newbie Here :flower3:

We have booked preferred rooms and I was just wondering if 50's section first floor is a good request. Anyone stayed in this section before what are your thoughts?

TIA:cloud9:

I've stayed in the 50s twice now, first/ground floor, in building 1 and building 3. I really like it - I requested ground floor building 1 for my next trip.

I like building 1's proximity to Classic Hall and a little short cut around the front near the luggage office, to get to the buses. I also like the bowling pin pool.

50s buildings were also the last to be refurbed last year so maybe they will still be the "newest." :)

Hi Jen!! how are the plans going?? are you getting packed yet?? I'm starting on the final stuff tomorrow! looking forward to meeting up with you, sorry about all the changes in your plans, but know you'll still have a magical trip!

I am packed for the most part. Just a few more items to put in last minute. I am so ready to leave! We are getting cold here again!
I'll put your number in my phone!

I believe it has Bacardi Limon, Blue Curacao, Sprite, Grenadine and Sour Mix in it....I will definitely be checking this out when Im there..37 days and counting.:hippie:

does anyone have a picture of the lava lamp drink they can share???

Hi All..We are staying at POP for a 2nd time this May. We arrive May 27th thru June 6th and can't wait. Can anyone tell me if the famous tir-dye cheesecake is still available? My daughter wants to try it and I have had several requests to take some home with me. Thank You so much. Last visit we didn't really get a chance to look around, this year we will have days off, out of the parks, to do so. Regardless we loved their Dining Hall and gift shop. While I was there looking at all the memoribelia on the walls was great. My daughter who was 17 was amazed at some of the stuff. We are returning for her graduation trip from high school. I just hope this isn't the last trip for just her and I....I know she is grown up, but that would be just sad.

I would do it ASAP. I just put my request in when I make my reservation usually. I forgot to do it this time so I do need to call with it.

They still do have the tie dye cheescake. It is in the cooloer case with the other pre-packaged deserts.:)

We always request 50's (building 1) ground floor! Love this location! :thumbsup2
Hoping to get this request in September!

Just came back from the Pop, here is a good tip, if you lose your mugs they will replace them for free so keep your receipt from the first day, I ythink we accidently left ours by the pool
