Just read a bit of your PTR. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you make some wonderful memories on your trip.:flower3:

thank you Lorie :goodvibes, we will embrace our old memories and welcome the new ones!

I booked a week stay at POP the first week of August. I have read some horror stories about large tour groups in summer. Do they ever stay at POP, or do they usually stay at the All Stars? Anybody know or is there a way to find out?

I think they mainly stay at the all stars. I've stayed there before mid July and never seen a large group staying there.

Hi everyone,
I have gotten such great info from this thread. I cannot imagine going to WDW without being armed with all of this great information.

We've stayed at POP before but we did not get a fridge. My daughter has to take probiotics for her stomach, which need to be refridgerated. We were planning to bring a soft-sided cooler, and refill it with ice each night. I know you can get a fridge for free for medication, but since this is not perscription medication, does it count? I'm sure her doctor would write a note for us, because she has been on them since July and there's no way I'd have her stop taking them just because of our vacation.
Is there some kind of form for her doctor to fill out for a medical fridge? If it's not accepted because it's *just* probiotics, then we'll either pay for a fridge or do the cooler thing.

Thanks!

Hi there!
My understanding is a doctor's note is ok - but I would call to be sure. HTH!

We've never noticed any groups there during our summer stays. I wouldn't worry too much. :goodvibes However, we did see some when we were just there in February! First time I've ever seen a tour group at Pop!

I don't think you even need a note. If it's a medical need, just call and request based on that. I requested a fridge at Pop a couple years back for breastmilk storage, not a perscription med, but a definite medical need for my son! There was no charge and no need for a note. (Even though I did bring one along just in case.) Have fun!

I am pretty sure you should be able to get one as it states for medical purposes . When we got one when we went with a group of disabled , one was on insulin and we got it without having to show anything!!But we had made propi arrangements !!I would call Disney and ask if it can be added to your resevation and bring the doctors note !!

Hello Everyone :goodvibes.
As you can see in 5 days time we will be on our way to Florida. We are staying on International Drive for our first week, then moving to POP for 2 weeks  :cheer2: :yay: :dance3:,as you can see i am a little excited .

Anyway over the last few weeks i have been trying my best to read all the posts and remember little hints and tips on this fab thread :thumbsup2.I am ready to 'request' my 'requests' with POP,BUT i don't have a fax and was wondering what the best thing to do would be?.Phone them or email them-if it's email would someone be kind enough to let me know what it is.

Also i am soooo confused by all the different rooms/numbers/ etc...so if i wanted top floor, quite room, not a long distance from Classic Hall how should i be wording my requests?(we don't need to be near the car park as we don't have a car).I would really apreciate a little help .

Thank you in advance.x. :goodvibes.

Callin your requests, its easier. Also last Sept we found out rooms are auto assigned @ 5-7 days prior to arrival, so def call. They let you choose 2 things for preferences, like building or floor, where you face, near someone else ect. we've gone 2x with my parents, it was well worth it.
have a great trip!

Booked POP for Sept 25, 2011- so excited our 2nd time there!!! wahoo!:)

Pop Oct 2010
Pop Sept 2011

I would ask for 4th floor, 60's !!!

I just made reservations for Pop Century inlate August using the "kids stay/play" promotion. We've never gone that late in the summer, but the discount was too good to pass up! It saved me 7 days of 2 children tickets.:cool1:
