We went back with POP. DD is thrilled. Our total package price with the free dining was 1675.00 with a 10 myw base ticket. This is for 10 days. Staying with the QSDP. My younger dd could care less she is 2 so she goes with whatever at this point.

I'm going to ask dh tonight if he would like to get the hoppers. There is a few nights MK closes early and I would really like to see fantasmic this year. We have water park tickets we need to use us so no need to add those. But in the past we have never really used the hoppers so I'm not sure it would be worth it for one night. Maybe we can plan one of our water park days for the night of fantasmic so I don't need to add them.

I also still need to get my MNSSHP tickets.

I think if you are there for 10 days it is definitely worth getting the hoppers. Sooooo much more flexibility! We are so excited to stay at Pop for the first time in August! BTW, I looooved the Pirate rooms at CBR as did my kids but they are super excited to stay at Pop. The rooms at CBR aren't that much bigger.

Looking forward to arriving at POP two weeks from tomorrow.

Hi all, first time WDW visitor here. Coming from Australia and I am so nervous about where would be the best building, etc. to "request" at Pop Century.

We have a booking for 28 Sept-9Oct. What should I put in for our room request?

Am I right in thinking that the 70's building is a good location for closeness to buses, pool, main building etc? If so, what rooms or floors are best?

Also, am I right that only some of the rooms at Pop have been refurbished? What buildings are they?

Any help would be so greatly appreciated.

I really don't think any room at pop is that far from the food court/bus area. We requested 60's section facing lake last year. Loved it there. The rooms last year IMO weren't in need of a refurb yet. But I'm going to ask for the 70's section facing the lake so I can get a new room. LOL

I thought our room at POFQ was in worse shape than POP. I also thought the beds were super comy at POP. Were at POFQ we would roll in the middle of the bed. WE also love POFQ but dd requested POP this year again. Plus she is saving me 750.00. Love that part.

This is a total Long shot~but We were in Pop rm 1335 last week. We left on Monday~I think I left my camera lying on the bed in our room! Or I could have left it laying around on a counter somewhere at the resort~slim chances that a dis'er is in that room now huh? I am sure Mousekeeping would have found it but unfortunately it hasn't been turned in:( I"m so sad!!! Any suggestions on what else to do??? I"ve called the parks, magical express, the airport~UGH!!! Kept up with the stupid thing ALL.WEEK.LONG & lost it as we were leaving!

Guess I should say it's a silver Kodak EasyShare. Most of the pics are from disney & cub scout camp!

Sometimes we'd get one breakfast entree and two drinks and use a snack credit for a pastry and split that all. We managed to have quite a few breakfasts and not miss any other meals (this was on the DDP, but the principal is the same. QS meals tend to be very generous portions, and we sometimes would split lunch or dinner ones also!)

My girls will probably get a muffin or pastry to share in the am. But I don't do breakfest and either does DH. We usually will eat lunch in the parks around 11-1130 avoiding the crowds. We are going to have around 9 cs meals left over because we are donig 3 ts meals so we could also use those for breakfest for the girls. I have one on the dining plan and the other is 2 so they usually just share.

YES! That's the room! I see I had typed the wrong number, but it was the corner room. And yes, we checked in the night of June 12th. If/when we stay at POP again, I'll definitely request that room again. It was great! We checked out on Saturday, June 26th. I wonder who's in there now? :lmao:

Don't know, but I WISH IT WAS ONE OF US! That is SO cool that we were in the same room! It was fabulous!!! :cool1:

How do you make a request? We have a request already for connecting rooms and that's what's most important to me but I'd also love to be in a room that is recently redone and I'd love to NOT be facing the parking lot. How do I get that request in? Call the main reservation line? Call the hotel itself?

If you made reservations directly with Disney, you call them. If you used a travel agent, you call your TA.

this is a great thread! For the posters who stayed in room 6436, do you have pics of the room view? Would love to see them!:goodvibes

Actually, we do! PM me with your email address, and I'll send them (they still aren't uploaded yet).

my kids are begging me to take them back to Pop. apparently, they don't get that it all costs money. ;)

DD even told me tonight that her stuffed Mickey smelled like Pop.

My DS's too, all they do is ask to go back, thankfully it will be coming up next month. DS's would much rather stay at POP then anywhere else we have stayed. I offered BC and they would rather POP. Definitely saving the $ on this trip.

You guys are all making me feel really good. We're going to Disney in August for the 1st time, and we chose Pop because, quite frankly, a value is all we can afford. Alot of my friends have stayed at CBR in theme rooms, or at POR or POFQ, and I was feeling like maybe I wasn't giving my kids the best vacation possible since I can't afford a nicer resort. :sad1: I know we'll be spending very little time at the resort, and that young kids don't care, but still... but after reading how much to all LOVE Pop, even those of you who have stayed at the nicer places and still love Pop more, it makes me even more excited that despite cost facter, we are staying at one of the BEST resorts!!!

You guys ROCK!!! Thanks for all the input!! :yay: :lovestruc

My kids prefer the values! You kids will not care what resort you stay in but POP does look like alot of fun. We have stayed at ASM and ASMu abd are trying POP for the 1st time in December. My kids love to look at the pictures and think the pool looks cool.

I hope your family loves it as much as we do.

You know, every resort has different features that appeal to different guest's tastes. For us, we love how compact Pop is, we have found the buses very good, rooms are clean and modern, the pools are fun, we like the food court, and Pop CMs are awesome. To me, these features matter a great deal, and that's why we like Pop so much. That it's inexpensive is icing on the cake.

Add me to the Pop fans !!! We first went there in 2007 on our very first trip!!! We LOVED it !!The kids LOVE the Hippy Hoppy pool !! I like that it is compact and love the lake ,it is sooo relaxing in the morning to sit there !!I agree the CMs are great , one in particular !! If you go to the gift shop see if Elise is working she is awsome !!Tell her Rosie said Hi!!!
