Notices Oct 2010 Free Dining in your siggi, did that come out yet or you just assuming?

I would like to go late Sept/early Oct like last year & free dinning would make it a lot more affordable.

I talked to 2 cast members when I was there a week ago. They talked about fresh paint and flat screen TV's. When I told them I was coming back in December they assured me the refurb would be finished long before that. Sorry I don't have any other specifics.

Thanks for the info! The new comforters and tvs look great! I am so excited to be staying there in August!

We will be staying at POP from Sept. 14 to Sept. 21 and have book preferred rooms! I looked at the map and saw where these all were too. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good preferred location that is a short walk to the Classic Hall but also a quieter location as opposed to right next to the flower pool? TIA!

Are frist time staying at POP we stya at the 70's building# 1,It did face the bowling pin pool but we where on the 3rd floor,and sleep like a log!.It was really close,have fun!

quick question: What building has the preferred rooms. My friend has a ressie for March for a preferred room.... I thought maybe she could get a newly refurbished also. They re-did the 1970s building right? are those considered preferred?

when i there in 2007 if you went to the front desk and ask they would give you a chinsee and dominos menu is that still the case and if any one has ordered anything diffrent in.

in 2008 we were able to get a Papa Johns menu and ordered it. We had to pick it up at the front desk but there were no issues!

I can't say it enough: You have got to try the pizza from Giordano's. It's incredible! I can't remember which location delivers to Pop, but if you call the wrong one, they'll tell you which one you should call.

Just had topost a pix of Bldg 5 where I stayed earlier this month!!!

It was room 5128 not preferred but VERY close to pool and Classic Hall!!! I loved the location !!

I can't say it enough: You have got to try the pizza from Giordano's. It's incredible! I can't remember which location delivers to Pop, but if you call the wrong one, they'll tell you which one you should call.

Thank you so much for the reminder! I keep hearing about how good Giordano's is but then forget that they deliver to POP!

Solves my problem. DGD and I love to crash one night mid-week and just order pizza delivery. Love POP, but the pizza...well not so much.

So here Is my question why Is It that they always put us In the 50's section??. We get the peffered room everytime and we always end up In the 50's section faceing the Bowling Pin pool.I like to try a diffrent section some time Is the 50's a natural fall out?

Hmmm I've stayed there 4 times and never gotten in the 50's! I usually fax my requests 72 hours before the trip. I don't ask for a specific room number, just a general decade. We loved the 80's because you could cut across the parking lot to the buses and avoid the food court.

My travel agent did my online check-in and requested the refurbed rooms - '70s section!!

Actually, I'll be happy with anytihng as long as I am not facing a parking lot or a swimming pool.

I'll be there in 7 days!!!

Still so much to do!

The new refurb appears to have the same bedspread for all rooms now - really like the color and understated design. Did anyone else notice that one wall - behind the beds - is blue, while the other walls are still beige/off white? I thought I was imagining it, so went back and looked at the photos several times - sure enough, the wall behind the beds is blue. Hope someone going soon will take a photo of the room from the door so we can see how it looks!
Haven't been back to POP since 2006 - other than a short unexpected stay in 2008 - our last 2 visits (of 5 stays) the rooms were in deplorable condition, so we went back to the deluxe resorts. Looking forward to a stay in the new rooms.

Do you think the whole resort will be done with refurb by Sept.? We're trying to decide which resort to stay in and that would make a huge difference to us. I stayed at Pop in Jan. and thought everything just looked so tired and old, but would love to keep prices down by staying in a value. I absolutely LOVE the looks of the new refurb rooms. If I could be certain of staying in a new room, it would be easier to book!
