Never heard about the retractable clothesline. I would love to know this also.

The clothesline is in the bathtub/shower on the wall with a silver cap that it retracts in and out. It is a very thin line of plastic covered chord which you attach to the other side of the bathtub/shower on the wall. It is not very thick and I believe it is made to hold lightweight stuff like swimwear and is only the length of the tub.

Hope this helps you all...:flower3:

If you use the Magical Express service, they will automatically deliver your luggage to your room. If you have carried your own luggage and store it with bell services, it will not be delivered automatically. You can leave a cell # and they can call or text you when your room is ready. I got a text so I would not have to remember or write down the room #. They will tell you the building when you check in but not the actual room.

thanks for that info:thumbsup2

Just curious does anyone know about pool temp in December? I know outdoor temp can vary quite a bit. Last year we were at AKl in mid Nov and we needed sweatshirts at night. AKL pool was freezing!

Are the pools ever like... creepy warm? I don't really know how to describe it, but sometimes when you get into a pool it's just too warm. Like you plunged into a cup of iced tea that's been warmed up by the sun.:crazy2: I guess stagnant is kinda a word that comes to mind? I really think I'm not explaining this right, but too warm pools always squick me out.:guilty:

I've gone 3 times in March. never once was it very warm. Pretty cold actually, but warmer than a non heated pool. But it was not warm by any standards. I didn't stay in long becuase it was just too cold. DD didn't mind, but DH complained too. It never even got warmed up after staying in a bit, like it seems to do on a hot day at home. Some days were cool and some were in the 80's.

I know this doesn't apply to Pop but Goofys Candy store has changed DDP snack credit options. You no longer can get pretzel rods or rice krispie treats as a snack credit. Just thought I would pass this along.

I was just there and was able to get a huge rice krispie treat for a snack credit!! they had a lot to pick from they had signs on everything that was a snack option!

Waiting at the Orlando airport to fly home after 6 fun nights at Pop. I'll post more when I get home but everything went great. Crowds were definitely going down over the week. We had a clothesline in our room and saw kids with various inflatables at the pool. Pop provided life vests and beach balls to play with. Lifeguards left early though - never there in the evenings. And it was very hot so the pools were a bit uncomfortably warm especially during the day. Never hit lines or crowds in the food court but w were usually there around 7 am or 8 pm. Booked or bounceback for next year same week!

Can't wait to read your report. So was the bounceback for the free dining regular or quick service plan for POP? Just interested.

Bounceback for Pop has been confirmed as the Standard DDP. Several posters on another thread have booked it. Identical offer to this year with check-in dates through 9/30

There is a thread that lists all the confirmed DDP snax as people post!! For example they tell you about the change at Goofy's ad the pretzel rod !! Check it out if you arn't already doing so!!

Thanks Carol for your help! I will call POP & request to be in the building we wanted. As for online check in, is there than a separate desk to get your paperwork & keys when you arrive than? Can you still tie in your MC to your room key when doing online check-in?

So, when I think online check-in, I think, "Is this REALLY going to save time?" or not?

Do not call Pop directly. Call the reservation line and have it put in with your reservation. You can then fax it 4 days before again if you want to re assure yourself.

The horror! :scared1:I hope it's not true!

I see that some of my fellow Pop lovers are either there all ready or will be there soon. I have a question that I hope one of you can answer. I have posted this question before but it really wasn't answered; just an alternative was given to me.

How many inches thick is the bathroom door?

I brought an over the door shoe holder with me last time and the metal holders would not fit over the door becasue they were too small.

I'm really hoping someone can help me answer this question.

Thanks in advance!

I realized that your question seemed to get a little lost again....

I will be there in less than a month so I can check for you then if you haven't gotten an answer yet. I've added it to my Disney to do list so I promise I will not forget when I go.

Yes, I confirmed it was the regular dining plan. The odds are we won't be able to do the bounceback (oldest is starting college next year and I have no idea how the timing will work out, let alone the money! ;) ), but it certainly seemed to make sense to book and not use rather than the other way around. I do have the flyer, which was right on my table in the room, and will scan it in later if I can.

We did get towel animals every day except one, which even my 16 year old son thought was cool! Our room was cleaned every day, but they didn't always clean everything. It was no big deal to us, but I know from reading these boards that it is to others. For example, they frequently left the bedspread on the floor and just made the bed without it. Or didn't empty all the trash cans. Or put new towels up but didn't take away the wet ones on the back of the door or on the floor. We originally tried hanging our towels up to dry, but between the AC and the humidity, we found they weren't dry by the next time we'd need them so we ended up putting them on the floor to make sure we'd get dry ones.

We found everything very walkable at Pop. We had a car and I definitely think it was further from where we were (building 3, 50's) to the parking lot than to the lobby/food court/buses. Obviously a lot of this would depend on where you were. We requested a quiet area and were happy being on the back side of this building. Kind of overlooked another 60's building and woods and if we looked, the lake. Only had trouble with noise one day around midnight and that was a group of kids running around and slamming doors. There is a fan on a timer in the bathroom that we used for "white noise" most evenings - it would go off about an hour later.

The pools never seemed overly crowded, but as I said, they were a bit too warm for my comfort level. The first few days it rained a lot, and when we went in during the evenings they were fairly nice. But the last days it was just plain hot, and during the days the pools were just warm, not cool or refreshing at all. If you went in, then got out and went back to your AC'd room, then you felt cool, but we rarely spent more than 5 minutes in a pool because of the heat. But we're from Wisconsin too, so may have a different idea of comfortable water temperature!

The food court as I said also was never crowded when we went there - maybe you'd wait for a person or two, but not a lot. In the mornings (say 7-7:30am), I never waited to get food, but sometimes did to check out. Seemed a lot of people had trouble understanding what was on the DDP and they'd be trying to get food for 6 people or so and it would take a long time to check out. We certainly never had problems getting a seat or anything.

Oh, regarding the snack credit katsmom4 - we were there on Thursday and each checkout had a list of what you could/couldn't get. DS was planning on the krispies and it was a no. I know you could get marshmallows, the fudge cookie, and one other thing. I know you couldn't get krispies (he asked too) or pretzels. I can't remember the third thing on that list either, but you must have just been lucky. We'd never been there before and thought what we got was really cool for a snack credit (and didn't even finish them over the next 4 days and couldn't bring them home since yesterday morning we had everything in our car while we were at DHS).

One more thing - checkin. We got there around 3:30 on Monday and there was NO ONE in line for either online or regular checkin. We had done online and literally it took a second to check in. Gave her my drivers' license, she handed me a packet and we were done. Only took a little longer because I asked her to show me where our room was in the building (wanted to make sure it wasn't overlooking a pool). Guess we just timed it well!

I'll be glad to answer any questions!

That would be wonderful of you to check! Thank you for adding it to your list.

I just noticed that we will be there around the same time.

I don't know if I've said this before on this thread or not but THANK YOU! It answered yet another question I was going to post, but now don't need to. :)

Value bounceback flyer:

Just as an FYI, I think it priced out to be about $50 more for the same thing we booked this year for next year's prices. We did book for a longer time, and for more people, but I asked for comparison prices, and taking off the airfare (which we booked through them this time) and just tried to compare it directly, that was what I come up with for the difference which seems reasonable!

Cool Marciemi! Thanks for posting the flyer... and thanks for the PoP review...I enjoyed reading it... I am going to be at PoP in two weeks and can't wait! Its my second trip to WDW (staying at PoP) this year. I considered staying at a moderate for the second trip, but after all my research and comparasons.... PoP is by far the best resort (in comparason to other values and moderates) in all of WDW! Can't wait!!!!:cool1:

OOO... it does look like we will be there the same time. I'm only going for 4 days in Nov. thats the most I can get away but I HAVE to see the X-Mas Decorations ( I have an annual pass that expires in March so I might as well get as many trips as I can before that)

Good Morning. Marciemi- are those your boys in the homerun pool at Sports? I love sports and it was the first resort we stayed at.

Hi,
My sister and I are booked for the Free Dining QSP at Pop in October. This will be our first stay there. Our second resort stay, we were at CBR in June and had a terrific vacation. Different this time since it will be girls only, at CBR we had all my family, sons, wives and grandkids there.

I am excited since we will be there for MNSHP too! We were there for it in 2007 and had a blast. That was a girls only trip too, but we stayed off property.

I am enjoying all the posts here from those Disers that are Pop fans and regulars. I think I can become a regular for the Pop from what I have read and seen in pictures. Looks like a really fun resort.

We are booked for Oct 18-24. I am ready to get busy planning.:cool1:
