This is probably a dumb question, but I keep hearing "luggage services," and "bell services," and "storage," and I'm not sure if there really are 3 different places or those terms are being used interchangeably. So, please help...

1) Where would I go to pick up a fridge that's being held from a fridge swap? Can my DH carry it back to the room, or do they bring it for us?

2) Where would we stash our carry-ons if we want to go to a park right away and our room isn't ready? Do we then come get those things when we get back, or do they bring them when our checked luggage arrives?

3) Where would I pick up a case of water ordered from Costco? (And also, how far in advance should I order it? Is 12 days out too soon?)

Thanks so much!

The fax number is listed in the first post of this thread (can't remember it off hand) That number works - its the one I used to make my request. I faxed my request 4 days before we arrived. Everything worked out perfectly... p.s... If you haven't read that first post yet - you should...it is sooooo informative - tells you everything you ever wanted to know about PoP and stuff you didn't even know you wanted to know!~ :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I have only seen one service which I call Luggage service ,a you are entering Pop by the front lobby it is to your right and down a little way . You will see the giant LEGO blocks in front of it . This is where you pick up your fridge !! I usually ask them to bring it over for me and walk with them and give a tip $3 - $5 usually but sooo worth it as they will usually take it out of the box and plug it in for you!!! You can also check in at Luggage service your carryons . You would have to ask themif they will take them toyour room !! Usually my room has been ready so this is not an issue !! Sorr don't know about Costco ?? I ordered thru GG and I am not even sure how that arrives :confused3As itis my first time ordering !!

Does anyone have a pic of the new tea machines/dispenser they have at Everything Pop? Do they have unsweetened iced tea?

Just switched from FW Cabins to two rooms at Pop. I figured we'd die with one bathroom. Looking forward to my Pop indoctrination!

We ordered through Cosco when we stayed at POR. The CM who checked us in got it for us. My guess is that it is the same at POP.

This is from CocaCola's Website... I'm pretty sure that is the one they have at POP.

I think I'm a little unclear on the precheck-in online. I read a post here that said you could NOT request a specific area to stay in if you did the check-in on line, is this correct? So, what do you do? Do you check in online & than send them a separate fax to request a specific area? What is the reason/value of checking in online than? Why not just wait until you get to POP to check in?

Sorry, for the confusion but I am SURE one of the many POP experts have the information I need!!! Thanks!

They have tea dispensers like that at Fat Burger. It's good tea. I guess I'll never know what I missed, having never stayed at POP before and experianced a frozen coke.:confused3 I only really drink iced tea anyway.

I've noticed this in the past. I don't think it's a big deal. I think they do that because airlines change flight times. may be easier to put in the time closer to the date. :confused3

That's exactly it - I asked about it when I had to call for another reason. They don't ever put a time in, they just go by flight numbers because the times change so often.

So excited!!:yay::woohoo:I had to tell everyone:rotfl2: just added another day,a another night its now the 7th to the 16th:cool1:.danceing time Is getting closer!!

You should call and put your requests for a specific area on your reservation BEFORE you do online check in. You cannot request a location at online checkin. You can also send a fax but there is much deliberation over whether that helps or not, but it can't hurt. The main reason for me to check in online was to avoid waiting in a long line at the hotel. Online checkins have a special line and your packet with keys, etc. is already prepared so you are on your way in just a couple minutes. If you check in at a slow time, it probably doesn't matter, but there was quite a long line when we arrived so we were happy with the online checkin.

Since you all were so helpful with my luggage services questions, here's another one for you! We have a bunch of family who live in Orlando, and are trying to make a time to visit with them. The thing that works out easiest is having them come to the resort to visit, since we don't have a car there, and they don't want to get park tickets. We could do DTD together, but thought this would offer better chat time. My question is, can we all hang out at the pool together? They wouldn't swim, just sit around down there with us while my kids swim, and maybe they'd bring pizzas or something to eat. Is this allowed? Can they just park in the lots like anyone else? Thanks!

We're here, and not very happy with our room. We paid for pref. but feel farther out then we normally are when we stay standard. We're by the lake...kinda. The only way we can see the lake or the pool is by stretching to either side. We pretty much are looking at building 5. We're on the 4th floor 3 rooms from the lake on the "pool side" We've thought about going to the front desk tomorrow and asking for a better room. We really don't feel we're getting anything for our extra $ a night. We don't normally booke pref. and I don't think we'll ever again. We may never stay at Pop again, depending on how we're talked to tomorrow. I'd rather stay at AS Music in their pref. since those buildings are actually closer, and the parking is a lot better.

We've also noticed a lot of noise in this room that we've never noticed when we've stayed in the 50s even this time of year. Sorry to be so negative just annoyed that I'm paying extra for being in for me is a horrible location. I hate being able to see the lake and the Pop that might never be built.

Oh, OK! Didn't know that! So....do you call the main POP number? And what, just ask for a certain request/room/location? Do you do this ten days out or less? We arrive on a Thursday about 11:30....doubt it would be too busy so not sure if the check in on lline is worth it or not.
