We are booked at POP for free dining from Sept. 19-28th!!! I can't wait. It will be our first value stay but I know we are going to love it. I am disappointed in the frozen coke machine being gone. It seemed like it would have been a nice perk.:guilty:

OK, for those who have done the online check in... Is it best to do it 10 days in advance or closer to the time that you're going to be there? And I have 4th floor, lakeside on my request. Do I request that again when I check in? Been debating on whether or not to ask for fireworks viewing. One of the girls I'm going with wants to be close to the 80's section. I don't have a preference right now. Except I kinda like Lady and the Tramp, but I have the stuffed dogs from when I was a kid.. Sorry - tangent. :) Anyway, when is the best time to do the check-in, and do I request at that time again?

so when do I request a certain room. Should I have done itwhen I made the reservation or do I do it when I do on-line check in?

Sorry to interrupt the whole frozen coke discussion, I am just joining

You should have it on your reservation.

I wouldn't worry about FW viewing cause if you're like me when I went with friends, we were at the parks and not watching them from Pop. Even if you decide to stay around Pop one night you can walk over the the Jukebox building and go to the back side of 4th floor. You can quietly camp out there for Illuminations.

YAY!! That's what I needed to know! I don't suppose there's a way to request the section with the least people. ;) I know this will be a big break for me. My two friends both live in the city, but I moved out to the country by myself almost 4 years ago - I so don't miss the noise or crowds. So, of course, that's why I'm heading to Disney - no noise and crowds. :lmao:

I'm getting a bit excited about going! Woo-Hoo!:yay:

I'd request 50's fireworks view for a room location. This will be a nice quiet location and you'll be able to see the fireworks (just the top) from your room. We've enjoyed these room locations best of all . We liked the rooms in blg 3, 4th floor, rooms 3413 thru 3436. You can see WISHES in the distance and the top of IllumiNations right from your window in rooms 3434, 35, 36. And from the 3413 (end room) side you can step outside your door from any room and watch. We simply put our requests as:

1. Fireworks view
2. 4th fl
3. bldg 3
or
1.4th fl
2.lake side
3. fireworks view

We also have the room numbers at check-in and ask the CM to see if any of the rooms may be available. This has worked out great and the CM's are so nice.

The rooms on the backside of bldg 3 now have very tall trees, so we do not stay in those rooms anymore.

Have fun!!!! :goodvibes

I was reading about the refillable mugs and had a question. I know the ones you posted are for POP resort but I had heard that the parks had them too. Looking around I can only find that they are available at the water parks....not the other parks.....is this correct?
