Hi All,

Does anybody know how much beer and rum cost at the everything pop store for inroom drinks. Sizes and prices please.

V

Yeah, I know they're out there. It's strange that I haven't seen one yet. I had printed out those instructions and was all ready to use them a few years ago but I couldn't find the power button. Oh well, maybe next time.

I think those were the same directions I took in 2007 and 2008 and both times had no power button. I think I wrote about it on the other groovy pop thread and even had a picture of it too. I didn't even bother bringing the directions this year or fussing with it. We did OK though.

I have a non-POP question .. we will be staying at POP 6/28-7/05/09 and I purchased the QS meal plan which fits DH and DS's personalities best; but, if we wanted to do a sit down meal somewhere like at Epcot at one of the countries, what are our chances of walking in without a prior reservation? I know this is a busy time of year, but do those restaurants still take walk-ins and is it a huge wait?:)

Very hard to just walk in and get seated. You may get lucky and they tell you to come back at a certain trime. the best option would be to ask in the AM at Concierage and they can tell if ANY resturants have openings, but you would have to make an ADR then to keep it.

I am so sorry that you and your family are going through such a difficult time.

I will be holding you all very near in thoughts and prayer. Do keep us updated, when possible? Will be thinking of you.

We've been there that time of year and it was not crowded until July 4th - then it was unbelievable the rest of the week.! Also, this year you may even have a better chance because people are cancelling trips and locals will not show up until the 4th and since the 4th is on a Saturday your Sunday thru Thursday may not be bad.

Try off times - early or late lunch, same for supper. Also, many times the CM at the check-in pedestal will check other restaurants for you and let you know what is available.:thumbsup2

We've had no luck up with walk ups some trips (usually early December, of all times!) and great luck other times. We rarely make ADR's because we've no idea where we might want to eat or which park we'll be in that far in advance...we prefer to go with the flow and our mood of the day. We also prefer the QS meal plan.

Good luck and have a great trip!!! :goodvibes

Dear Ms. ******,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

From time to time, we make adjustments to our food and beverage
offerings based on operational considerations including consistency with
similar locations across our property. As a result, the Frozen Coke
beverage at Disney's Pop Century Resort was discontinued. Everything
Pop Shopping & Dining continues to offer a variety of Coca-Cola products
for your enjoyment. Frozen Cokes are available at a several locations
in the theme parks and at Goofy's Candy Co. at Downtown Disney
Marketplace. When we receive comments from Guests, such as yours, they
are shared with various areas of our organization. You may be assured
that your observations have been shared and taken seriously.

Ms. ******, thank you again for taking the time to share your honest
and constructive feedback. We hope to have future opportunities to
entertain you at our Resort.

Sincerely,

I received the same email today :rotfl2:

I don't remeber the name of the urgent care center. It was actually listed in the 2 page brochure about Pop Century that we got in the blue folder when we checked in. I just called and a driver picked us up about 15 minutes later. I was glad we could just go and get it done quickly!

We were in the 50's, room number 5120. The room was ready and clean when we got there before noon.

I did try and walk in for some ADR's and had no luck during our stay! It was pretty crowded at the spots I tried. This is the first trip that I have been unable to get a spot at Crystal Palace.

Okay, thanks! I'll make sure to read that stuff more closely. :)

Please, please Dear Disney, tell us please that they are ONLY out to be

sunny Florida from cold, cold Canada, dying for a refreshing Coke
Slushie....please!! Please sprinkle some Disney magic!!

We too are from Canada and arriving on September 10th to Pop. Flying out of Buffalo. Was looking forward to the frozen coke but am now looking forward to the sweet tea as I always miss Canadian Iced Tea (with is always sweet) when I am in Disney. See you there!

Father died in 9/11

Don't know if this helps but last year we paid about $12.00 for a 6 pack of Bud. Not too bad at $2.00 per beer compared to $5 at the bar. (though, we are from Canada and are use to paying at least $27.00 for a 24 case at the beer store) Especially if you have kids in the room and can't go to the bar. We just got a 6 pack and put them in an empty bag in a garbage can filled with ice and they were nice and cold when we returned to the room and the mousekeepers did not touch them. Not to sure if they sell Rum in the gift shop, did see wine though I have no idea how much it costs. You can also buy alcohol in Epcot at the various countries. Actually when we were in Canada we saw some wine from our city, mind you it is good wine and very famous but still, we can buy it for $9.95-$11.95 per bottle here and it was $35.00-$45.00 there. Needless to say we did not buy any but did notice there was wine in Canada, Italy and France so maybe you can buy some rum in Mexico???? Hope this helps. Cheers!

For all fellow Canadian and Western New Yorkers....now if only we could convince Epcot to put in a Tim Horton's in the Canadian section of the World Showcase, my trip to Disney would be complete. :thumbsup2

When you think of it..."Timmy's" does represent Canada. Disney should bring them in. They would make a fortune. :rotfl: I'll take a large french vanilla cap.

It has been awhile, but if I remember correctly, Bud was the only kind sold in 6 packs - everything else was in five dollar bottles - anyone else notice anything different?:confused3

Did you guys read that Southwest is testing RAC at Pop during June? I'm psyched. I can't believe I actually picked the right airline, resort, and month for this little experiment; this stuff never happens to me. Maybe my luck is turning around since this is also the first time I've ever gotten an email pin-code for anything either! I'm checking in in 12 days!!!!

They'd need one of every corner to make it authentic:lmao:

They'd make a mint just off me and my hubbie! We're Canadian ex-pats who can never get enough Timmy's while we're home. :rolleyes1 In fact, we've been known to stop there more than once in day on short trips. We actually cheered out loud the first time we saw one of the Timmy's rest stops on the NY Thruway on our way home.:banana::banana:
The other place they make a killing is on the chocolate. I spent $3 on an Aero bar one year, but it was *SOOOOO* worth it as I walked slowly back around the world showcase one last time to before we left.

Heather
Why no, I don't obsess over the foods I can't get here, what makes you think that?
