just had to post....2 weeks to go can't wait!!!! I've been puttingit out of my mind with Thanksgiving and getting my Christmas shopping done. Now I can concentrate on the trip! I can't believe it's only 2 weeks away!

Our flight is for 9:15 AM, arriving at MCO at 12:15, but I really want to get there as soon as possible, so I am currently trying to convince DH to let me switch us to the earlier flight at 6:55, arriving at 10:00. He says no way we would need to leave the house at 4:30 vs 6:00 Such a party pooper

Same here! I was wondering why my DIS board e-mail messages had dried up to a trickle. Best wishes to all of you who are traveling in the near future. Please think of us who are in the midst of an "off year". I can't book for January 2010 until August!!

we're going to do that tour in March too. I'm really excited about it - you'll have to post what you thought of it when you get back since your trip is before ours.

DH and I are doing the KTTK tour also! I've read so many good things about it...I can't wait to go! We've never done the tour either since we always have our kids with us. This trip is adults only so it was one of the first things we booked!

First time on this post. We are staying for our first time at the POP on 12/12-17. Wondering if anybody else will be there during that time. We did request 2 adjournig rooms,,,,,should I call and double check on this? What is the best way, call or fax? We are so excited about going to Disney during the holidays. We were just there in July and stayed at the Poly. However, we couldn't' afford Poly twice in one year? Hoping POP is fun too.

Does anyone know if you can use the toaster or microwave at the Cafe if you brought in your own food. Say you bought bagels or bread at the gift shop can you use the toaster? Just trying to think of ways to save a bit since we were just there in Nov. I told DH we would go cheap. Has anyone done microwave popcorn in the evening? or is this a no no?
Thanks for you help. We have never been to POP!

I personally never have used the toaster or microwave, but I have read where others do with no problems. I'm sure someone will give you first hand answer !!

What is the difference?? We also requested "adjoining"- in that we want a door that opens between the rooms. We are leaving in 59 days , so I had better have my TA change the request if we asked for the wrong thing .

I think you want connecting rooms, adjoining rooms are just side by side and connecting rooms have the door in between I think.

You definately NEED to call back now and correct it to connecting. And if you have to have it, make it your #1 request.

You're right about connecting rooms but adjoining rooms are rooms that are next to each other without the connecting door. You wouldn't have adjoining rooms on different floors or five doors down the hall.

I have, and several times--- been very helpful. I must have somehow missed this detail. I am glad to have this thread to answer these types of questions. My BFF is coming for 5 days of our trip, specifically to watch the kids some of the days (and of course for she and I to have some time together too), so having the connecting door is very important for us.

Make sure that you call Disney and have the connecting rooms noted as a request on your ressie we were there in august and we had 2 rooms 4 adults and 2 children and we had connecting rooms noted on our rssie along with poolview ground flr 50's section and we were granted all our requests but we listed in order of what we needed to what we wanted. And may I add it was during the first week of free dining! So if you note it on your ressie your chances are good! Nothing is gauranteed but when you check in you can also ask the cast member if they did in deed give you connecting rooms and if not you can have her or him check to see if any are available.
