aww- you sound like a great sister! I am sure you will have a magical trip.

I thought I would write up a mini trip report from our weekend on Cape Cod! Not sure if anyone is interested or not, but I am going to include lot's of cute pictures of the boys and a couple of nice beach shots!!

We got the kids up and dressed, and brought Daisy to Nonnie's. Then had to come back to the house and get the car all packed. GEESH - for a 2 day weekend trip to the Cape, we sure brought A LOT!!!

capecod002.jpg

The drive was great- we hit NO traffic and made it to Falmouth in just one hour and 30 minutes! (Cape Cod + Memorial Day Weekend = BAD TRAFFIC! We were so lucky!! The boys watched a movie... well Myles did... (Owen fell asleep 10 minutes into the drive) and Wayne and I listened to some U2 (We are going to the concert in September!)

We got to John and Kristen's cottage in Falmouth around 4 and unpacked the car and the kids and Daddy and John played some Football, and Soccer in their yard.

capecod009.jpg

Then we had a little BBQ and ate out in the yard. It was really nice.

After dinner, we went and got ice cream and stopped in at the little arcade.. hey this is what the Cape is all about!!

capecod014.jpg

capecod011.jpg

Then we went down to the beach (4 minute walk from the cottage) and took some pictures and put our feet in the FREEZING water!

capecod013.jpg

capecod015.jpg

capecod017.jpg

Getting the kids to sleep was a chore after all that sugar and being so excited about being away and all! They slept in the same bed and was too cute! We sat out and had a couple drinks and talked and watched some TV.

Sunday we woke up and went to breakfast. I cant remember the name of this place but it was awesome. (Dog friendly too- for next time we are there)
We all sat upstairs, and they had couches, and rocking chairs, and a big TV. It was nice because we could have our coffee, and the kids could run around. After breakfast it was time to Mini Golf! We drove to Yarmouth to hit our favorite course- Pirates Cove!

capecod022.jpg

capecod024.jpg

After the Mini Golf, we had our picnic lunch that we had packed and then headed next door to "Jump on us"- Trampolines. We always have to make this a stop when we are in the Cape!!

capecod028.jpg

capecod033.jpg

capecod035.jpg

Daddy was jumping a little too crazy for Owen and he skinned his nose on the trampoline.. after that it was "Nooooooo Daddy!" - he was not welcomed back on the trampoline.

We headed back to the cottage and the kids were not napping so we walked down to the beach. It was COLD and WINDY!

Check out the boys hair- (Windy!!!!!)
capecod047.jpg

After the beach, we went to a great dinner!!! It was in Falmouth and was called Seafood Sam's. Myles tried Fish & Chips for the first time and liked it!! Wayne had a Lobster Roll, I had Fried Clams, and Owen had his Pasta with Red Sauce. He was so funny, he had me pour his sauce on his plate and then I watched as he took his roll, and dipped it in the sauce. My little italian boy... my Dad would be proud!

capecod054.jpg

capecod053.jpg

After dinner, we went to ... you guessed it! More ice cream!

capecod057.jpg

The kids were so tired. They went to bed so fast! We stayed up and played cards until 10:30 and then called it a night! (We are getting so old!!!)

Monday we woke up and went back to the same place for breakfast. This time we sat out on the deck. It was much warmer today. Then we headed back to the cottage. While Wayne packed up the car and helped clean up, I took the boys down the street to say our goodbye to the beach and Cape Cod. We talked a lot about Disney and what his favorite rides were and what he is going on next time. He keeps asking me if its a long time away. GEESH to a kid it must feel like an eternity!

capecod058.jpg

We were excited to come home to Daisy! She had missed us. (I dont think she is quite recovered from when we left her for Disney)

Here is a couple of pictures of Daisy in her costume I picked up for her at the Christmas Tree Shops last week.... how could I resist!!!!

I can't believe ur report is almost over. I think you guys need to go back sooner! The pics of the boys are just so cute. What great memories!

Great pictures. Too bad it was a littl chilly but sounds like you had a great time anyway. I understand about putting off the last day. I did that as well. It does make it seem more "over".

Looked like you guys had a great weekend! Beautiful pictures of the boys!
We're seeing U2 in August - can't wait!

Nice weekend on the Cape!! I grew up in West Dennis and my parents live in South Yarmouth (not far from Pirate's Cove!), got to love the Cape!!! We live in Plymouth now so we're close enough for a quick trip down at least once a month...btw, love Daisy's costume, too cute!! Got to love Christmas tree shops, too!!;)

I've really enjoyed your TR (and your mini-TR from this weekend).

Your boys are adorable and it really sounds like ya'll had an amazing Disney Vacation. Looking forward to the rest of your trip. When do you have your next trip planned for?

I have never been to Cape Cod, but one day I will go. It will just have to be in September when everyone goes back to school (including my kids - when the youngest enters college). It looks like a lovely weekend, even though it looked a bit cool. I spent the weekend at a soccer tournament in Gettysburg, pa. It was HOT! (but good practice for when I hit disney in a couple weeks).

I am sorry your trip report is nearing its conclusion, but I certainly enjoyed reading it!

I enjoyed your side trip to Cape Cod! I was there many years ago and loved it so much. We usually take a summer trip to the beach in North Carolina, but I'm trying to convince my family to try Hyannisport next summer (with a day-trip to Nantucket). FUN!!!

I wish your Disney TR wasn't almost over, but I look forward to the rest! ;)

My kids loved that Pirate's Cove too when we went to MA 2 years ago. That's when they got the idea to go to all the Pirate's Cove courses in the US-we haven't accomplished that yet!

Adorable pics! The Cape looks just lovely! :goodvibes

Thanks Sara!! It's much nicer when it's warner and sunny though!!

Jealous! I love the Cape and wish I could live there. Whenever I am there, I keep thinking how I would love for my kids to grow up there.

Thank you! The next trip is being planned for September 24th 2010- Such a long time away!!

Thank you- Yes you will have to get to the cape for sure. The Fall is nice and it's very quiet there.

Thank you- oh we love nantucket but I think we enjoy the Vineyard even more... just a little more stuff for the kids to do.

My kids loved that Pirate's Cove too when we went to MA 2 years ago. That's when they got the idea to go to all the Pirate's Cove courses in the US-we haven't accomplished that yet!

That is a great idea!! I will have to bring that idea up to the boys.

Tuesday, May 12th - Time to go home!

Wayne got up first as always, went down and filled up our refillable mugs with coffee and brought back these babies.

beignets.jpg

YUM! We hadn't had them yet and really wanted to try them. They were good but we were cracking up because we kept choking everytime we got close to taking a bite we inhaled the massive amounts of powdered sugar that was coating them.

Our bags were packed and Wayne brought them down to be checked in right at our hotel. This was so cool- not to have to deal with them again until we were back in Boston!!! So we said goodbye to the Port Orleans French Quarter and headed to our last ADR - breakfast at Ohana with Lilo & Stitch.

Here is my handsome husband sporting his nice tan- waiting to be called for breakfast.

wayneohana.jpg

This turned out to be our favorite character breakfast. The food, coffee, juice were all delicious and the characters were great.

Up first- Lilo (She is so cute!!)

lilo.jpg

Then came Mickey~ and a little tearful goodbye from us as we told him we were leaving and we would miss him!!!

Pluto up next...

plutowithmyles.jpg

And finally.... Stitch!!! The boys love Stitch and were thrilled to see him.

stitch.jpg

Owen started running up to the characters at this point and grabbing onto thieir legs- it was so funny!

stictchwithkids.jpg

THEN WE EXPERIENCED SOME FINAL DISNEY MAGIC!!!!!!!!

The kids were given marracas (SP??) and the music started, and the kids were all encouraged to join this parade with Mickey being in the lead. Well, as Mickey walked by us, he took Myles hand and together they marched for the entire parade with Mickey's arm around Myles! I was already feeling so emotional with this being our last day and all- well this put me over the edge.... YES... tears of joy looking at my little boys proud face to be marching with Mickey in the parade. It was the perfect ending to our MAGICAL trip to Disney!!!!

ohanafamily.jpg

We still had one big surprise in store for Myles and Owen so the fun wasn't over yet! We left the Poly (big lump in chest- geesh I just LOVE this place) and headed to Epcot to spend our last final hours before heading to the airport.

We got to Epcot around 11 and headed over to World Showcase to try another Kim Possible Mission - this time Japan! Heading over, we stopped and tried the infamous Beverly Soda that we had heard so much about. OMG- please do not even try it. It was just gross and left this nasty taste in your mouth - YUCK!

beverly.jpg

We also walked through the Butterfly Garden which was cute.

butterfly.jpg

Here are some random shots of Epcot... It was so nice there. There was NOBODY in the World Showcase- we just walked around, and had such a nice time touring the countries.

We grabbed a beer in Morocco and tried a couple times to meet Jasmine but they kept cutting the line off when we got in it... so next time Daddy!

Owen had fallen asleep and was taking a MUCH needed nap and it was close to our 1:00ADR so we decided to go ahead and check into Chef de France. I am NOT good at keeping good secrets from my kids.... we give them xmas presents early- bday presents- you name it. I could NEVER keep Disney a secret. LOL.. BUT I did keep the fact that REMY was at Chef de France!!!! Myles LOVES, LOVES, LOVES Remy!!!! Well, as we walked in he was OUT in the dining room! - Myles freaked and ran up to him. He was at someone's table so I said we need to go sit and maybe he would come see us. So he just couldnt even control himself. He was SO excited. He kept saying when is he coming... and wayne and I kept thinking, "oh no- what if he doesnt come back out!!!" So we kind of got Myles prepared just in case and said how busy it was and how Remy must be so busy in the kitchen cooking. So we had our fabulous lunch- I know I am hardly taking about the food here, but it was so good. Wayne got escargot, I got French Onion Soup and for lunch he got the Mac and Cheese and I, the Ham and Cheese. YUM!!!

grilledhamandcheese.jpg

macandcheese.jpg

After dinner we kind of looked at eachother and thought, OH NO - we didnt see him!!! We had asked the waiter but he said Remy was not part of Chef de France (Weird) so we had thought it wasnt going to happen this time for us. Well, then we the rolling cart with the silver tray heading right to our table!!! Again - tears from me because Myles was just in shock!!!!!

mylesafterseeingremy.jpg

helloremy.jpg

He was SO cute!!!! He would squeak his response to all of Myles questions for him... He was GREAT!

cuteremy.jpg

We bid adieu to Remy and to DisneyWorld and headed for the Airport!

To continue the Magic of our trip... it hadn't rained A DROP on us the entire stay.... well as we sat waiting for our plane, the sky turned BLACK and thunder and lightning struck and it rained harder than I had ever seen it rain before!!! They called all the crewman inside and the plane was delayed for a little over an hour while the storm passed.

While we waited, the kids (our neighbors were on our plane too) played, and we asked if they wanted McDonalds for dinner... you could hear their response throughout the airport!!! We laid down a blanket and they had a McDonalds picnic and we talked about the trip and we looked at some of the pics from our cameras. The flight home- UGH, YUCK! But we made it, and our taxi was waiting for us. It was nice to be home and see daisy and sleeping in our bed felt great!

Well, that is it! I hope you enjoyed reading our trip report. What is next you ask???? Well another trip to Disney of course!!!! Here are the rough plans... Last week in September 2010- Contemporary??? Free Dining - Hopefully! MNSSHP!!! I already can't wait to start planning, so I hope you will continue to read my new Pre trippie (as soon as I start it!!)
