my parents have that same exact reindeer they use it for the small presents at christmas time.

My mom has had that either since Sean was born, or possibly a little before. Every year the boys have a "photo" shoot with the reindeer. I need to get ahold of mom's pictures and scan in all the years to see how much that deer has shrunk over the years.

I am almost packed!! Since the heat finally broke a little yesterday I was able to go through the clothes that had made the "short list" and see what fit. Then I could go through and see what mixed and matched the best. So for a trip that covers 13 different days, I will have a total of 5 outfits - wear one, pack 4. I love having a washer and dryer available in our rooms. Makes it so much easier to pack! Now I just need to stop running errands, get caught up on here so I can get it all in the suitcase. Of course, all the guys have to get their stuff together yet.

Yay for almost packed!

I finally submitted my last answers tonight - I forgot that I wasn't finished!

1 week and counting!! Actually, by this time next week I should be settled in to my Boardwalk studio! I am about 95% packed. I haven't decided what shoes I will pack and what I will wear, but I do know which ones are going. And I can't pack my pill box yet. It is currently full - when it is empty again I will be on my way.....some people have countdown chains, or calendars....I get an empty pill box

The guys, on the other hand are not nearly as ready. Ryne has all of his clothes laid out. Danny has some of them ready and at least knows what else he is taking. I have nothing of Mark's. He claims to have an idea of what he is taking....but he needs to get it together.

And as for Mark getting it together....



Someday he would like to be featured here....

But is more likely to wind up here....

I've been wanting to pack for over a month! But there is a little necessity involved with being done so early. Tomorrow it's supposed to be near 100* again so will be too hot to mess with stuff - but I have to go get an oil change in the car, pick up travelers checks, and get Danny's medicine refilled. I imagine after that I will collapse in front of a fan. Then Friday I drive Danny to work, come back for awhile, then pick him up from work and head towards Ohio. Saturday night is the MeatLoaf concert then back again on Sunday. That only leaves 2 more days before I leave and that will probably consist of trying to convince Mark and Danny to finish getting their stuff together and hopefully get Adam's stuff over here so it will be packed before I leave so I don't have to worry about them forgetting anything.

Congrats on being almost packed! Be sure you drink enough water when you are out running around in the heat.

I'm thinking Mark could be the Pres, because he won't have to organize himself - they have people to do that for them!

Today's agenda was to consist of:
drive to town (1/2 hour)
get oil changed in car (1/2 hour)
get travelers checks (15-20 minutes)
pick up prescriptions for Danny (15 minutes)
drive home (1/2 hour)
I left home at 12:30 and I was pretty much on schedule to be back home by 3:00. Instead I got home at 4:30.

That extra hour and a half was spent in the WalMart pharmacy drive thru where (cue ominous music) my prescriptions and credit card were stuck in the pneumatic tube!!! And that is where it still is

I sent it through to them to pay, the pharmacist said "thank you, please sign the paper and send it back" then nothing. I didn't hear the "whoosh" of the carrier coming through. So I waited a minute or so thinking maybe she hadnt actually put the stuff in the carrier yet. Then I pressed the call button and that was when we found out that they sent it out, but I didn't get it. They tried sending other carriers through the other side to knock it loose. That didn't work so they came outside and tried to send one from my side. It wouldn't take it from the machine if the hit send from the outside or "recall" from the inside. So after an hour and a half of trying they refilled my prescriptions - except they didn't have enough to fill one of them, and gave me a gift card for the amount of my co-pays. The called the place that services their system. The closest tech was 40 minutes away. So they took my phone number and said they would call me when they got it out.

I leave tomorrow for 3 days, then leave Wednesday for even more....I need my card!!!! I felt bad for the pharmacist because he came out and was trying everything he could and apologizing all over himself - and it wasn't really his fault. I am hoping that they get it out tonight so I can run up there again tomorrow and pick it up. I am supposed to take Danny to work then go back in the afternoon to take off for Ohio. So it would be so much better if the tech comes out tonight and retrieves it so I don't have to worry about the timing of it tomorrow.

And on top of it......

Today is my birthday!

Thank you! And WalMart called a little after 6 and said that they had my card. They close at 7 and I was down at my folk's house trying to see what dad did to screw up his excel spreadsheet, so couldn't get there in time. But at least I will be able to run back over tomorrow and know that it has been rescued!
